not one southern state will vote for hillary.

the south prefers upstanding, christian , faith professing republicans

and top notch leadership like george bush, jr.

the south would like to find another prez like george bush. jr.

the southern states are considering drafting rush limbaugh to be the republican candidate.

he has all the qualifications...

fat, bigoted, republican, christian, drug user, demogogue.

oh well, that''s the south for you, folks!

"McCain To MoveOn: Get Out"

Someone change his diaper and sent him back to Sun City to his nursing home and tell them to keep a better eye on him so he doesn''t wander off mumbling to himself again. He''s become an embarrassment.

Sometimes I think the media wants to show themselves they can manipulate us any time they want and it must stop, freedom of the press is their right but it must be the truth they print not the manipulation of a CEO and what they want to see happen.

There is a big difference between lobbying and misrepresenting facts. It is dangerous when any group mispresents facts, distorts facts, or sugarcoats the facts. This is true of any group or ideology.

Of course. I agree with you. Without the truth, what do we have? Only lies. The MoveOn.org ad is extensively substantiated at https://pol.moveon.org/petraeus.html. All politicians stretch the truth, or pick which arguments to broadcast, but there''s only one party that lately has stretched the truth beyond the breaking point, and it''s not the Democratic party.

I also wonder why cbs or any media nbc abc haven''t reported about the oil contract signed with Hunt Oil in Iraq with the Kurds. This oil Texan is a large campaigner to Bush and is on his foreign advisory board I wonder why Bush keeps saying you got to sign that benchmark Maliki whereby all can share equally wonder what cut he(Bush) will get. It was on cnn yesterday do any of you see it anywhere who is controlling the media folks?

Resign McCain
This is the U.S.
People have the right to say what they believe.
I do NOT agree with the moveon organization, but I do believe that they have the right to say what they believe just as I have the right to say what I believe.
Resign McCain, you no longer represent anyone.

"Senator McCain, like most Americans, is appalled by the MoveOn.org ad."

Like most Americans? Did he go door to door and ask us if we were appalled by it? I personally endorse it. I like the Bush one even more. Truth hurts.

Pay attention, America: this is how the right-wing uses the media to manipulate the truth and silence dissent against the Iraq war.

Even before MoveOn.org''s ran its controversial ad about General Petraeus in the New York Times, The Weekly Standard published an article by Peter Hegseth, Executive Director of the organization Vets for Freedom. The headline of the article accused the MoveOn.org ad of calling Petreaus a ''traitor'' ("MoveOn.org Calls Petraeus a Traitor"). The only problem: the word ''traitor'' appears nowhere in the MoveOn.org ad nor anywhere on the MoveOn.org page about the ad. It is Hegseth''s article that introduced the word ''traitor'' into the story -- an outright lie intended to silence dissent against the war. Less than 24 hours after the Hegseth piece ran and the MoveOn.org ad appeared, the mainstream media picked up the Weekly Standard''s lie and repeated it until it became the story.

The Manchurian Candidate strikes again!

Another one of the fascists who "loves freedom" as long as nobody really tries to exercise it.

It constantly amazes me how, if you agree with Bush or his dedicated few, you are merely voicing your right to free speech. BUT, if you disagree, you are comitting something akin to treason for which you need to be banished from the country that prides itself on freedom of speech and other such rights.

You cannot claim freedom of speech when it suits. To claim it, you must also allow it to others with a difference of opinion. Then and only then can you claim that this country has the right to freedom of speech.
