Where was the right-wing, "wrap-the-flag-''round-me-boys" crowd''s moral outrage when the Bushies "did" McCain in SC in 2000?

Or, when they attacked a proven, decorated Vietnam War vet in John Kerry? (You remember the Vietnam War, don''t you right-wingers? That''s the war Bush decided wasn''t in his best interest to fight!)

Of course, this is the same crowd that applauded clever Kenny Clausen, the Deputy White House Communications Director, when he obtained Muskie stationery to pen the infamous "Canuck Letter." If you esteemed rght-wingers remember, Muskie was ahead and pulling away from Nixon in the polls when that "letter" surfaced. Not only did Muskie quit the race, he had to quit politics, too!

SO PLEASE DON''T TELL ANYBODY THAT MOVEON.ORG HURT THE GENERAL!

Patraeus lobbied for that job, and Bush wanted a "good soldier" in that job.

Thrown out of the country? What''''s next, sending MoveOn folks to Guantanamo? Ever heard of free speech? McCain should be ashamed!! SO sad - I used to like this guy. Too bad he''''s in bed with Bushites who are responsible for our looming 9 billion dollar debt, doing away with our rights with the implementation of Free speech zones, illegal spying and getting rid of Habeus Corpus.

I don''t recall Sen. McCain rushing to defend his fellow Vietnam vet and one-time friend, John Kerry, when he was being dragged through the mud. Did McCain make a peep when morons at the repuke convention sported Purple Heart bandaids. He didn''t call for the Swift Boat scum bags to get kicked out of the country. He didn''t challenge bush and the other repukes to denounce the Swift Boat liars.

If McCain had been the man he''d once been, he would have kicked chimp''s a** in 2000 when bush''s surrogates spread heinous rumors that McCain was unfit to be presidnet because he''d been brainwashed while he was a Vietnam POW, and that he''d fathered an illegitimate black child. That was his moment to shine, and he wasted in kissing up to chimp and the hard-right repukes. He''s just a washed up old coot now.

Oh excuse me we stepped on the republican tactics of fair speech writing, it took a long time to figure these tactics out and the republicans did not like it ohhhhh how sad you low lifes who stomp and tread on anyone who gets in your way you attack and destroy. Why are you not saying your publication Weekly Standard started all this on move on news. All you republicans know about the Weekly Standard don''t you it is the equal to Move on. Mc Cain fold up your tent stick a fork in you you are done no credibility. What you want is to destroy move on and you see this opportunity to pounce never once telling your mentor Bush said, " the Congress will get a report, it will be typed up and sent with the White House words not Petraeus" so why did you not tell this and the media you took traitor Msnbc and Hardball ran with that and forgot to say anything about Weekly Standard article

There was a time when McCain had credibility... before he sold his soul to the Rove Machine and the Neo-Cons. I think it''s sad, really-- the man gave a great deal to this country, and now he''s just a raving nut on the fringe that people only listen to for gaffs.

Very sad.

I dont agree with Moveon''s ad, but No one, including GOP supporters or Blind followers of military commands, knows for sure what Patraeus'' intentions are. Its pretty clear he has post military career ambitions. Before Petraeus took up Bush''s banner, the Bush white house MovedOn into Retirement over 20 Top Generals that had disagreed with Bush over his follies.
Im sure Petraeus Does want some sort of military victory to claim, but believe me, he''ll be rewarded by the GOP long after the US military body count has continued to rise month after month in Iraq.

Its likely we have beaten up the enemy on a kill ratio of 100 to 1. But how great is that when 1 of the dead US soldiers is your Father/Son/Brother/Sister/Mother? Sure military service is a sacrifice and we have to expect we may die, but to be forced into a bad situation for the political motivations of some GOP nightmare, is insane & wrong. Besides, when theres an ever-increasing volume of Al Quaida Recruits BECAUSE we are there, we''ll run out of troops faster than they will.
We made Iraq into a battlefield of Al Quaida and Sectarian fighting right. Hhow Christian was it to make someone elses country into a battlefield of death so we can kill off some bad guys?

"It was funny to watch McCain debating John Kerry. A petulant, spiteful, red-faced McCain got taken to the cleaners. Poor McCain was so mad he probably had to change his Depends after the session. The geezer couldn''''t even decently shake hands at the end. Nasty little old man!
No way is this geriatric case fit for the presidency!

Good Job gkc99! Couldnt have said it more accurately myself. My wife and i were watching McCaim argue against things out of thin air, try very hard to reinterpret Kerry''s words, and made a stubborn fool out of himself.
I too used to like McCain years ago and he was often at odds with the terrible Bush presidency, but hes gone off the deep end in the last 3 yrs or so.

What Thomas Jefferson learned from the Muslim book of jihad

Thomas Jefferson knew about fascist nazi islam..... he killed plenty of them....

In 1786 Jefferson and John Adams went to negotiate with Tripoli''s envoy to London, Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdrahaman or (Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja). They asked him by what right he extorted money and took slaves. Jefferson reported to Secretary of State John Jay, and to the Congress:

The ambassador answered us that [the right] was founded on the Laws of the Prophet (Mohammed), that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have answered their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Mussulman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to heaven.[1]
