Idaho Republican Determined To Save Senate Seat If Guilty Plea Is Reversed
- Part 1 response to brianbwb
WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!!
I am offended by your sharp critizism, calling me a killer, when you have no idea who I am and what I am talking about. I don''t think I am the only one here with strong opinions. It would seem that you have some pretty strong opinions yourself, and we just don''t see things the same way. I''m not sure if you are capable of talking about this without using words that are not acceptable on this site, but I sure would appreciate it if you could control your tongue and in this case your fingers on the keyboard. Please read Part 2, 3 and 4 above this post. - Reply to this comment

If they are already here, why are we in Iraq, it seems more logical that we should address the problem that you claim is here.
Your argument is precisely what we predicted the warmongers would say once the madness started, at this point it does matter why we are there. We are there because of treasonous acts by those sworn to protect the constitution, but who have broken most of its provisions, but you seek to forget that, and feign the innocence of those responsible.
What will happen when we leave? The bloody power struggle will run its course, and a new power holder will replace Saddam, that is all.
Do you posit the same BS that the Vietnam warmongers did, that the communist "enemy" will follow us home? They were wrong then, and are wrong now.
I suppose you will next drag out and dust off the other deadly proven lie, known as the "domino theory".
Face it, there is no justification for this "war" other than the fact that you like the idea of killing people for no other reason than that they are not "like you". A real brave man doesn''t need to hide his predilections behind lone proven false rhetoric. - Reply to this comment

Ask the few remaining Native Americans what it means for the "white" man to sign a piece of paper...
Basically it is a record that can prove one has lied, but since he doesn''t care if the world knows he lied, it is basically worthless. - Reply to this comment
- Any war kills people!! Period!!
Terrorists kill people. They don''t care about your pet! They have a mission and they will build their HQ in Iraq if we leave there. At this point it doesn''t matter why we are in Iraq. We need to ask ourselves, What will happen if we leave Iraq?
Those who hold to the religious beliefs that the terrorists do will not hesitate to kill you and "stop your beating heart".
WHEN (not if) they take over America, as they are already, if you do not take on their religious beliefs your heart will be stopped.
We need people in Senate and in the White House with a backbone! I don''t care if they are republican or democrate!
Some of us, perhaps many of us, will lose our lives if we are committed to living in a free nation. We will be called upon to give our lives so our children can enjoy the freedom we have had and come to take for granted. - Reply to this comment
- I really think that when you look in the English dictionary under the word (HYPOCRITES). The definition should read (See the Republican Party). They support the right to life, and are strongly against abortion, and at the same time vote just as strongly for the war in Iraq that is killing and maiming thousands of our young men and women and God only knows how many Iraq men women and children. You can see sign up along our highways that read (abortion stops a beating heart) So does the War in Iraq%u2026

- I am concerned that a person can plead guilty, have the case processed and finished, then have it reopened just by trying, after due process has run it''s course, to change his plea.
I always understood that only people who plead not guilty can have a verdict reconsidered, and even then only on the introduction of previously unavailable evidence.
How many "average Joes" have access to this facility, I wonder... - Reply to this comment
- Courts do not want to accept a guilty plea from anyone who thinks they might not be guilty. Apparently Craig had some 6 weeks after his arrest to consider his plea before signing a statement that he fully understood his guilty plea and would not make future claims of innocence. NOW he thinks he might rescind his plea, or that any court would or should let him?
And this is a guy who has been a Congressman since 1980? (5 terms in the House, almost 3 terms in the Senate) A guy who can have top lawyers? (even Michael Vick%u2019s lawyer)
Forget the gay issue, or even the hypocrisy issue. This is a case of gross mental incompetence and stupidity. Idaho must be letting their potatoes vote! - Reply to this comment
- Sen Craig said, "Arlen Specter is now willing to come out" Good going Arlen...you took on cancer and now you''re dealing with your sexual orientation. Sen Craig will be behind you 100%!!!

- Why is it all the self-righteous Bible thumping ****[phobic] Republicans are caught in a ****[se[xual] scandal.
Those self-righteous hypocrites that stand and pontificate the Americans about morality and decency are merely paradoxes and oxymoron.
First Foley and now this fool, and what next, the entire bunch of self-righteous losers are going to "hit" the fan..
They criticize Clinton for his scandalous behavior, only to demonstrate even greater licentiousness and depravity.. - Reply to this comment
- Arlen Specter is willing to give Larry Craig a hand.

You might say Specter is ready to bend over backswards to help his friend . . . sorry, I know that is in bad taste, but I couldn''t help myself! - Reply to this comment
- Rep Gillmor''''s family wants to assure everyone the late Congressman was not gay and vows to hold onto his seat despite the fact the congressman admitted to dying from a heart attack. Sen Larry Craig was overheard to say, "I know how he feels."

- I guess this officially makes Craig a flip-flopper?
Anyway, glad to see he''ll be "mounting" his defense, in due course. Hopefully he''ll "bend over backwards", to keep this scandal going for as long as possible. It can only hurt the Repiglicans for ''08. So.... keep goin'' Larry! Atta boy! - Reply to this comment
- Just for a little laugh. Here is the lead-in to one of the video clip on this page. I about died laughing. Even the "defense" isn''t safe!!

Craig Mounts Defense
With few Republican allies, disgraced Idaho Sen. Larry Craig is preparing a legal case to prove his innocence in a bathroom *** scandal to retain his Senate seat. Susan Roberts reports. - Reply to this comment
- If he is to have any chance of getting any self respect back, then he must come out of the closet as a ga*y man and stay in office. Anything other then that makes him almost as much of a hypocritical coward as Bush is.

- Larry is a married man with a family.
That proves he isn''''t gay and can''''t be gay.
Curious, maybe, but not gay.
And furthermore he is the only senator that can tap the morris code in 20 seconds.

LOL. that''s really funny. Most men of the 1950s and baby boomer generation married to cover their attractions to men. They also had kids. The fact is, in 1984, it was noted in San Diego, CA that over 75% of all gay sexualll encounters were between gay men and supposedly heterosexuall married men. ANY man who engages in homosexual activity is by definition, a homosexual, if they can do both sexxxes--they may opt for the title of bi--otherwise, if they seek out men for sexxxxx, they are homosexual, marriage, kids, being a scout leader, pastor or priest does not change the fact that when men seek out other men for sexxx (and this was not Craigs first time by many earlier accounts) they are engaging in homosexual activity. But YOU and Craig keep on making distinctions,--it probably relieves a lot of guilt if you get your woody on watching and lusting after the same sexxxx. - Reply to this comment
- This is really quite simple. In review of the "wide leg stance" defense--which way was the Senator''s foot facing when he crossed under that bathroom barrier to sidle along and tap the officer''s foot?
Because if it was facing opposite the officer--it may be true...on the other hand, if the Senator''s shoe was facing the same way as the officers (towards the door) it means that the Senator was not in a stance at all unless:
He pees facing the door instead of the toilet OR if sitting, he spreads his legs wide when taking a dump. It is virtually impossible to get under that divider without trying even when sitting on the toilet--it is a no go if one is standing up, no matter how wide a man spreads ''em. - Reply to this comment
