One Gay Couple Legally Marries Before Judge Stays Ruling On Same-Sex Marriage Ban
- cbville72,
No, I''m not gay; I''m straight and have been married to the same woman for 32 years. If I were gay, I wouldn''t be the least bit ashamed to admit it, but that would not be natural FOR ME.
I always thought the purpose of marriage was to share your life with the person you love. That''s what''s worked for me for 32 years.
You have every right to think that homosexuality is unnatural but you don''t have the right to deny someone else the right to think it''s natural for them. - Reply to this comment
- Why on gods green earth do *** need to marry if not to shake the system for a few bucks. I care less what you do in a back room with a willing patner unless a child. I don''t won''t and never will except you as normal, the way I was raised you don''t hurt people steal or play with your own genders privates. Getting the state to sanction your activity does not make it right. It''s like gay adoption why to look normal. Momie and momie couldn''t have children so we got you to look normal doesn''t that tell you it''s wrong.

- There are no facts to show that homosexuality is either natural or not because what''''s natural is in the eye of the beholder and what''''s natural for you and me is not necessarily natural for everyone else.

Well I will point to nature itself. No species on earth would be able to survive in a homosexual environment. That is a FACT. You can live with whoever you want. I don''t care and neither do most Americans. It is however not MARRRIAGE. Marriage by definition is between a MAN and a WOMAN. You can call it "life partners" or you can call it a "Joining" or a whatever you want. YOU can''t call it marriage. And no it is not natural. Why do so many men who are gay have problems in their childhood? - Reply to this comment
- pwrslm,
You are quite confused. There is no state religion and not all religions or denominations share your view of gay marriage. If your church doesn''t want to perform gay marriages ythey don''t have to, but you aren''t the religious police.
You have a penchant for lying with statistics. How did you determine that homosexuals comprise 2% of the population? Is that a census question or did you get it from one of your favorite religious websites?
There are no facts to show that homosexuality is either natural or not because what''s natural is in the eye of the beholder and what''s natural for you and me is not necessarily natural for everyone else.
You still want to argue but you still don''t want to answer my question. Should adulterers, thieves, and the covetous and other types of "good Church goers" be banned from participation in Christ''s church and in the ceremony of marriage? - Reply to this comment
- and your avoidance of facts that refute your contentions.

I havent seen any facts that show that homosexuality is natural. Have you? Ask any doctor what the purpose of *** is, your answer should be reproduction. It exists in every species. When we certify that the health of society rises above homosexual conduct, the *** will go away. If we dont, America and all of the freedoms our forefathers have given us, will fall into anarchy. - Reply to this comment
- I''''ll ask my question again, should adulterers, alcoholics, thieves, murderers, and the covetous be banned from marriage and the church?

Wake up.
Open your bible.
Go to Genesis 3:20.
There is your first marriage.
Marriage is a religious institution, the state has no authority over it. If they pass laws, they are in violation of the Constitution. The Judiciary is creating laws when they try to base marrage as a civil right for homosexuals, because 1-sexual perversion is not a guaranteed civil right, and 2-they are creating laws respecting a religious establishment.
The government may have the right to tax marriage through the issuing of marriage certificates, but it has absolutely no authority to require such institutions to marry homosexuals. Once the Homosexual agenda has advanced sufficiently, they will sue Churches out of existence.
America is becoming a Godless nation. - Reply to this comment
- pwrslm,
I''m not questioning your facts, I''m questioning your use of facts, your lack of reasoning, and your avoidance of facts that refute your contentions. You accuse me of the same but don''t demonstrate how that''s true(because it isn''t).
Regarding the drive to reproduce, the world is overpopulated as it is which is why we have the war and hunger and disease and overcrowding that we do.
The same people who complain about *** and immigrants and abortion want no birth control. Idiots! - Reply to this comment
- pwrslm,
Adulterers get STDs too. Alcoholism is even riskier to ones'' health and these matters are condemned as sin in the same passages of scripture that are being bandied about here.
I''ll ask my question again, should adulterers, alcoholics, thieves, murderers, and the covetous be banned from marriage and the church? - Reply to this comment
- When will everybody realize that what makes all people the same is so much more important than what makes us different. I just don''t understand the bigots who discriminate against ***. As if homosexuals aren''t human beings too. As if they''re not someone''s son, or daughter, or sister, or brother, or father, or mother, or friend. All people want to live in peace, we all feel love, we all want the best for our loved ones, we all have hopes and dreams, we can all feel pain, we all want to follow our bliss, we all struggle, we''re all just trying to get through life the best way we know how. How does any of that change with the color of someone''s skin, or their physical abilities, or what God they pray to, or what language they speak, or what their sexual orientation is? If a man loves and wants to marry another man, or a woman loves and wants to marry another woman, what is that to anyone else? They''re not hurting anyone. Only a truly vicious, hateful, spiteful, selfish, vile misanthrope would begrudge someone their love of someone else. People who hate homosexuals should be ashamed of themselves. Those bigots deserve to live in the shadows. They''re not fit to show their faces in decent society.

- Heterosexual married couples partake in a great deal of behavior that''''s just as risky and no one tries to prevent them from being married because of it.
Posted by realpatriot1
Just as risky?
Funny, the CDC didnt figure that out. They must be going to "private" doctors and "private" hospitals that dont report STD''s......(in a pigs eye, maybe!!)
You can bring all the gay doctors in the world out of the closet, real facts will still prove my point beyond any question. - Reply to this comment
- People don''''t make a conscious decision as to the orientation of that ***.
Posted by realpatriot1
Orientation? Wake up, the minds confusion as to what goes into which hole is about equal to the confusion of a heroin addict that is willing to kill for a few bucks for drugs, its no different. The drive to reproduce exists in every single one of us, there is absolutely no evidence that orientation is predetermined, as a matter of fact, every scientific study for the last 4 decades that claimed that very thing was debunked and invalidated by solid science.
If arguing for equal rights for people.....
Posted by Rafterman1
Argument????? You didnt argue for equal anything. (though we all have the same right to be perverts) Thats not what you did. All you did was attack everyone who opposes sodomy. Want me to post some of your choice words? It is pretty easy to flip back a few pages.....
Your done. - Reply to this comment
- regarding your comment that people make a conscious decision to have ***, that''s true, and again not relevant.
People don''t make a conscious decision as to the orientation of that ***. Have you ever made a conscious decision to be heterosexual or have you just always inherently known it? - Reply to this comment
- pwrslm.
What denial am I bringing? Do you mean because I''m denying your need to control other people''s lives and decisions.
Regarding the physician you quote, I don''t assume that he''s wrong or right based upon the website he''s on. Whether or not homosexuality is healthy behavior or not has nothing to do with whose got the right to make the decision on what behavior people choose or who they decide to love.
I wouldn''t have too much trouble finding other doctor''s with a different view if I thought that was relevant to what''s being discussed. Heterosexual married couples partake in a great deal of behavior that''s just as risky and no one tries to prevent them from being married because of it.
Clearly, it''s you whose in denial regarding your own intolerance and need to make moral and life decisions for others.. - Reply to this comment
- ===You really are a loser, keep posting, everyone is going to see....keep it up smart boy!!===
People will be seeing soon. Just like arguments in favor of racism 40 years ago are now considered embarrassing by most people, your fearful arguments against gay people will be equally shameful in 20-40 years. It takes time for people to learn.
If arguing for equal rights for people is being a loser, then I''m quite happy to be a "loser". - Reply to this comment
- If it makes you feel better to cal me a bigot because I call out those who want to deny rights (or even existence) to people who are gay, then knock yourself out. It does not change the fact that your arguments are sounding just like those who wanted to deny the rights of interracial marriage - it''s against nature, the bible says so, it''s abhorent behavior, same c r a p. I don''t give a c r a p if churches don''t want to recognize gay marriage, they can do whatever the h3ll they want. But when the state starts denying it, or even civil unions, then we have a problem. "All men are created equal" does not have an asterisk next to it saying "only people we approve of".

- pwrslm, you keep quoting religious websites. We all know what religion thinks of gay people. Equating things like homosexuality and pedophelia is a common tactic and, as realpatrioit says, is phony. Nice try.
Posted by Rafterman1
Why is it that, when confronted with facts, you attack religion? Ecspecially when you were trying to use religion to justify sodomy earlier....

- Because it''''''''s not a choice for most people! You disprove your own point!
Posted by realpatriot1
This is a classic homosexual lie. You have to make a conscious decision to have ***. You cant just fall down, and ooops!! Knowing the proper use of the reproductive system is half of ***, the rest is a conscious choice to act on it. People always have a choice between right and wrong. Its mental handicapping to claim they dont, and its an absolute lie. - Reply to this comment
