and again the white house is going to say everyone is lieing but us..what ***

The Associated Press has learned the Government Accountability Office, or GAO, will report that at least 13 of the 18 benchmarks to measure the surge of U.S. troops to Iraq are unfulfilled ahead of a Sept. 15 deadline. That''s when Mr. Bush is to give a detailed accounting of the situation eight months after he announced the policy, according to three officials familiar with the matter.

The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the report has not been made public, also said the administration is preparing a case to play down the findings, arguing that Congress ordered the GAO to use unfair, "all or nothing" standards when compiling the document.

I didn''t think CBS News was ever going to post this story, given their propensity to crucify the GOP while cuddling up to Democrats. Honestly, I don''t think they would have run this story if it weren''t for the fact that everyone in the U.S. now knows about this.

CBS News would rather report on a low-level GOP senator playing footsie with a cop, than report on the corruption of the Democrat frontrunner.

And if you take down the central government in Iraq, you could easily end up seeing pieces of Iraq fly off. Part of it%u2026uh%u2026the Syrians would like to have in the West. Part of the eastern part of Iraq the Iranians would like to claim, fought over it for eight years. In the north, you''''ve got the Kurds. If the Kurds spin loose and join with the Kurds in Turkey, then you threaten the territorial integrity of Turkey. It''''s a%u2026it''''s a quagmire, if you go that far in trying to take over Iraq.

The other thing was casualties. Uh%u2026everyone was impressed with that fact that%u2026uh%u2026we were able to do our job with as few casualties as we had. But for the 146 Americans killed in action and for their families, it wasn''''t a cheap war. And the question for the President in terms of whether or not we went on to Baghdad and took additional casualties in an effort to get Saddam Hussein, was how many additional dead Americans was Saddam worth? And our judgment was not very many, and I think we got that right."

If it was a republican, they would not be allowed to get away with......"she''s going to DIVEST herself of the funds." The Attorney General would need to appoint a special prosecuter to look in to the allegations of campaign fraud.

perception5,

This story has already been posted longer than any stories about Bush classifiying his campaign donations by industry so he could keep track of who he owed the most gratis to. He didn''t give any of Ken Lay''s money back.

Just another example of the corruption of the Clintons. Here''s some additional lite reading.
Bill Clinton registers for the draft on September 08, 1964, accepting all contractual conditions of registering for the draft. Selective Service Number is 3 26 46 228. Bill Clinton classified 2-S on November 17, 1964. Bill Clinton reclassified 1-A on March 20, 1968. Bill Clinton ordered to report for induction on July 28, 1969. He refuses to report. Bill Clinton reclassified 1-D after enlisting in the United States Army Reserves on August 07, 1969, under authority of COL. E. Holmes. Clinton signs enlistment papers and takes oath of enlistment. Bill Clinton fails to report to his duty station September 1969. Bill Clinton reclassified 1- A on October 30, 1969, enlistment with Army Reserves is revoked by Colonel E. Holmes and Clinton now AWOL and subject to arrest under Public Law 90-40 (2). Clinton runs for Congress (1974), while a fugitive from justice under Public Law 90-40. Clinton runs for Arkansas Attorney General (1976), while a fugitive. Bill Clinton receives pardon on January 21, 1977, from President Carter. Bill Clinton becomes the FIRST PARDONED FEDERAL FELON ever to serve as President of the United States.
All these facts come from Freedom of Information requests, public laws, and various books that have been published, and have not been refuted by Clinton.
