The last 10-15 years have been unprecedented in history for the millions of people moving out of poverty. That''''s a fact that''''s not disputed by any economist.

From your screan name I''d think you''d be more concerned with AMERICAN''s that others... you know the nation were MORE people have move into poverty, where our standard of living has fallen to the bottom and where a 30 year old can expect to make $5,000 less than I did at thirty. When do we get away from Toe Tappers and back to people who concern themselves with AMERICAN''s?

For the vast majority of my life I have been on the front lines in the fight against the Klan and the Religious Right. During that time I''ve often wondered how could small minded people allow someone with NO Moral''s tell then what is or isn''t moral. Now I must wonder how long it will take for American''s to get back to being REAL American''s and leave these Pretend Moral Experts behind them. What''s a real American? It''s best reflected by a man who I came in contact with during a Klan Rally during the 60''s. After hearing a shinning example of Christian Conservatives address a crowd in Alabama on how our Morals were at fault for the Civil Rights Marches and upheavel, he just shook his head and as he walked away said, "If they give me a decent job where I can feed my family in a 40 hour week, I''ll take care of MY family values". Now THAT''S an American.. not a Toe Tapper, not a Rev. Ted, not a Falwell or Robertson, and most certainly NOT a member of the present day Republican Party... that''s an AMERICAN!!

Don''''t blame it on our Coca-cola bottles. Europe was a growing brothel long before we came to town.

Moreover, no international law can prevent the United States from taking actions to protect its vital interests, when it is manifestly clear that there is a choice to be made between law and survival. I believe, however, that such a choice is not presented in the case of Iraq. Indeed, should we decide to proceed, that action can be justified within the framework of international law rather than outside it. In fact, though a new UN resolution may be helpful in building international consensus, the existing resolutions from 1991 are sufficient from a legal standpoint. - Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

So lars when do you plan on joining Senator Wide Stance in the stall next door? ROFLMAO Maybe you could bring along a small cross and the two of you could torch it while you wave at each other underneath. Oh! Be sure to take along a large auger just in case another member of the Toe Tapping Association hasn''t already been there! ROFLMAO Sieg Heil Y''all.

Corndog''s man in the can, Republi-can Senator Larry E. Craig truly represents the character of the Bush Republican party caucus. Give this Bushie a presidential medal of freedom! While the Singing Senators were playing with children, the Bushes protected Senator Mark Foley (Republican, Florida) and enjoyed a sausage tasting with Bush White House spiritual leader Pastor Ted Haggard at prayer breakfast. Even Senator Vitter (Republican - The State Formerly Containing New Orleans) followed Neil Bush''s example of Bush Family values. Bushy Bob Allen (Republican, Florida) is not only another RPOF backroom insider, he is also another Florida Republican who did it like they do on the Discovery Channel and Bushie Republican Senator Larry E. Craig certainly fits tightly in Bush''s loyal family. So now we know what made the Singing Senators sing!

radiob,

The way to measure the progress in developing countries like China, India, Brazil, Russia, Mexico, etx. is not whether they''ve become on a par overnight with the developed world but by the millions of individuals who''ve moved from poverty to middle class status.

the war is legal

the resumption of hostilities was only a matter of time since iraq broke the ceasefire agreement.....

blame saddam for iraq%u2026%u2026. Even clintoon and the dems wanted the resumption of hostilities back in 1998

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country." - Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

Lt. Cmdr. Charles E. Madison: You American haters bore me to tears, Ms. Barham. I''ve dealt with Europeans all my life. I know all about us parvenus from the States who come over here and race around your old Cathedral towns with our cameras and Coca-cola bottles... Brawl in your pubs, paw at your women, and act like we own the world. We over-tip, we talk too loud, we think we can buy anything with a Hershey bar. I''ve had Germans and Italians tell me how politically ingenuous we are, and perhaps so. But we haven''t managed a Hitler or a Mussolini yet. I''ve had Frenchmen call me a savage because I only took half an hour for lunch. Hell, Ms. Barham, the only reason the French take two hours for lunch is because the service in their restaurants is lousy. The most tedious lot are you British. We crass Americans didn''t introduce war into your little island. This war, Ms. Barham to which we Americans are so insensitive, is the result of 2,000 years of European greed, barbarism, superstition, and stupidity. Don''t blame it on our Coca-cola bottles. Europe was a growing brothel long before we came to town.

As I see it, the biggest dilemma for the GOP at this point is going to be deciding which nickname to give the guy... consider some of the increasingly colorful alternatives:

Larry "toe-tapping" Craig
Larry "wide stance" Craig
Larry "nasty, bad, naughty boy" Craig

and surely more. Decisions, decisions. How fun!

They could always just stick him with the simple "Larry ''Grand Old Pervert'' Craig", given its convenient, double-entendre abbreviation (GOP), but of course that fails as a nickname for him alone, since with every new case like this it appears to apply to more and more of the party membership in general.....

I notice that a video interview with Tony Perkins is given prominent billing elsewhere on this web page; he is giving his opinion about how the *** scandals will harm the GOP. How far the ''Tiffany'' network has fallen when it solicits the opinions of bigots like Perkins, masquerading as churchmen, preaching hatred in place of Christ''s words.

Senator Craig''s excuses are so lame, I mean, give me a break. I remember Bill Maher dropping his name on Larry King and thinking to myself, "that would be just like the dude in the movie American Beauty who turned out to be gay" Sometimes the ones who rant and rave the loudest against the *** are the ones who are closet *** themselves.

The GOP, for better or for worse, barring a miracle, is going down in flames in 2008. And on this particular issue of homosexuality and public policy, they have sowed a bitter crop of hatred and hypocrisy. They deserve all the scorn they are getting from their tormentors.

The GOP isn''t wrong on everything but they are dead wrong on gay rights, and they deserve this negative press.
