I hope you are right. I am looking to vote out all those in office. Sadly, there are few choices but getting those in office voted out is a start.
And their scare tactics won''t work with me.

just another mindless republican who will stand up for the righies no matter what they do.
Posted by MissyX21 at 11:11 AM : Aug 29, 2007

Which is turning out to be their undoing. They have become arrogant and reckless. Now they are in the minority in both houses, will likley lose the White House and more seats next year.

Rovian politics hopefully have run their course. The GOP can''t govern. It''s filled with crooks, hypocrites, idiots and villians (and a few weirdos who look for xes in public bathrooms.) The moderates that were critical to their success have deserted them. They will not be back either. May will vote libertarian next year. 2004 will be seen as a high-water mark in their history. The nation seems to be coming to it''s senses finally.

I''m sure the gay community breathed a big sigh of relief when Gramps announced he was not gay.

Have you ever considered simply condemning what Craig did and demanding he resign? How about actually holding him up to the standards your party enforces on everyone else?

Folks, you have let MudNut side track you with a pointless listing of who had what charges. Does not matter.

What does matter is what is going to happen to Craig''s seat. I don''t see very many collegues rushing to his defense. A friend of mine who lives in ID told me yesterday that Craig''s behavior is a well known fact, although it is not openly discussed.

It will be after yesterday. This disgusting piece of ********* is no longer a player in the Senate.

Are the democrats, who have not held this seat since 1974, going to have a shot at retaking it?

Craig just made the simple mistake so many of us make: accidentally pleading guilty to lesser charges so that lewd conduct charges will be dropped. Happens everyday.

Spoken like someone who knows his party is in the wrong, so the attempt is made to make it look like both parties are guity. You''re in the gutter and can''t get out, so you have to try and drag your opponent down with you.

Have you ever considered simply condemning what Craig did and demanding he resign? How about actually holding him up to the standards your party enforces on everyone else?

What makes the Craig scandal that much more hilarious is he''s not the only Republican this year that''s been arrested for soliciting in men''s bathrooms! Bob Allen (R) from Florida''s 32:

''Allen was arrested on the afternoon of July 11, 2007 at Veterans Memorial Park in Titusville, Florida for solicitation of prostitution. According to published news reports, Allen offered to pay $20 to perform oral *** on an African-American male undercover officer inside a public restroom. Rep. Allen was released from the county jail after posting a $500 bond. In a taped statement and other court documents, Allen claimed that he felt intimidated by "a pretty stocky black guy" and offered money and oral s*x as a way to avoid an attack by the undercover officer and the other "black guys" in the park.'' (WIKI)

I LOVE his excuse! He was intimidated by this guy, so he offered him money to blow him? Oh, that is the WORST excuse ever. But, I suppose - as is the case with Larry Craig - it''s way better then the truth.

All this listing of people who have had ethics charges brought against them is pointless. So what! They are not running for office.

Craig is up for re-election next year and has not announced if he will run again or not. Plenty of pressure is being brought to bear on him to not run.

34 Senate seats are up for grabs next year. 22 of those are rep held. Several of those rep held seats are retiring, no incumbent to run against.

The Reps cannot afford to lose ID to the democrats, which it will if Craig runs for re-election.

You watch, he will not run for re-election

Political Prties 101. The Democrats basically work for the good of the people. The GOP works to seperate you from your hard earned money and put it in the coffers of Megacorporations to siphon back to them. Not many people would vote for them on that platform so they use hot button issues like gun control, immigration and abortion to scare their sheeple to the polls. They rarely act on these issues because they would not be able to use them next election. The type of politico who is able to do this is also the type who will lie about their romances and drug use and send your children but not theirs to die for the corporate takeover of the Mideast. All completely true.
