right now anyone who stand with Bush will have to be considered an unethical and criminal... because to this date anyone who associates with this man has crimes on their hands. Even Colon Powell who admitted so after resigning.

Long overdue.
When you are serving a President who actually does not understand why telling the truth is important, your only recourse is get out, as Collin Powell did.
Getting out before you break the law is only a good idea.
I am looking forward to the day when the American people reject George Bush, and all that he stands for, and yes, in Bush''s words ''for political reasons''.

Heavens no! Someone else mentioned Nixon''s misdeeds in the past, and that''s fine. If they dish it out, I can too.

I figured there is plenty of blame through history and remind all of FDR, Truman, Johnson, Carter .

And if pushed the list goes on and on.

After six years of Congress%u2019s failing to assert any accountability over the Justice Department, the new 110th Congress revealed the ethical wrongdoings of the Gonzales through aggressive oversight. Here%u2019s a review of the record:

%u2013 It was Alberto Gonzales, not Congress, who fired attorneys for political reasons.

%u2013 It was Alberto Gonzales, not Congress, who gave the White House political team unprecedented power to intercede in the affairs of the Justice Department.

%u2013 It was Alberto Gonzales, not Congress, who allowed his department to illegally hire attorneys based in part on their loyalty to the Republican Party and the Bush administration.

%u2013 It was Alberto Gonzales, not Congress, who dissembled and misled about the administration%u2019s spying activities.

%u2013 It was Alberto Gonzales, not Congress, who lied in stating that all Bush appointees would be Senate-confirmed.

Under-qualified, token Latino yes-man. The only person less qualified for the job he holds is his boss.

Now Gonzo can make those humanitarian visits to his friends in hospitals and prisons...
Mr. Ashcroft has asked Alberto not to visit him again.
Maybe Gonzo can make the rounds and visit his old friends Duke Cunningham, Jack Abramoff and Bob Ney. Maybe Gonzo can attain sainthood, someone contact the Pope...

Do you think that the misdeeds of the past somehow excuse or justify the misdeeds of the present?

Southern GOPigs still think that loyalty and cronyism are some sort of virtues, while the rest of the world know by experience that loyalty and cronyism are based upon codependent and dysfunctional behaviors. The Southern ConDumbAss culture seems more related to devil worshipping more than anything else.

j-whitman, you aren''t trying to deny in your own little silly way that you claimed there were 110 Senators, are you ?

So, like I was saying the other day, reapportionment has nothing to do with Senators. Each state gets 2, period. Only HR gets reapportioned.

Also - just so you won''t make a bigger fool of yourself - impeachment doesn''t happen in the Senate. The House of Representatives vote for an article of impeachment. Simple majority is all it takes to get impeached.

HOWEVER, assuming you want follow-thru (I know, probably a bad assumption with democrats) a two-thirds majority of the senators present is required to convict.

So light up another cancer stick - and try to stay away from sharp objects like sissors, ok. Later, lacky.

"He demonstrated that his loyalties lie with the president and his political agenda, not the American people or the evenhanded and impartial enforcement of our laws.... My hope is that the president will select a new attorney general who will respect the rule of law and abandon partisanship, who will serve the American people and not the president''s political ideology, and who will answer to the Constitution and not political operatives."

IOWEIGN

Worse? FDR (Demoncrat) Quote- running for reelection 1940-- "I will never send any of our American mothers sons to fight in any foreign war"

After elected he imposed an "OIL and STEEL embargo" against Japan, knowing full well, the Japanese would have to act against us somewhere, someplace and thus drag us into the 2nd.world war. How many American mothers sons killed? I believe they are still counting. One was just found frozen on a mountain top.

The list goes on and on.

The resignation of Gonzo should free him up to face a war crimes tribunal.

Gonzales legacy: Bush places personal loyalty (and everything else) above Country and Constitution. These people are nothing but war profiteering traitors who should be taken out and shot. There will be about 200 million American volunteers. Wag that dog chimps. Good riddance to bad garbage. LMAO
