They are called "refugees" or more politcaly correct today "casulaties of war". There have always been civilians who get caught up in the wars fought over the past 2,000 years, but more so now in our "civilized" 20th and 21st centuries. Ever since a European dictator named Adolph Hitler decided it was OK to bomb civilians, every "dictator" and madman since then has felt the same way. From Hitler and Stalin to Bush and Bin Laden, its been the civilians who are hurt the worst in war, and all because their leaders are too proud and greedy to care one bit!

SIG HEIL, BUSH!

"Just as a warm man never really knows how a cold man feels, a guy in his fancy living room cannot know what homelessness is like." so says Bush.

And the response: can a man who has never known war, know what war, suffering and devastation is like? Obviously based on your actions Jr. the answer is no. So why did you wage this one?

stonebog ,,,,
Here''''''''s the real story today on the ground --
-- Iraqi deaths doubled,,, Congressmen went to Iraq on last visit for the usual Petreaus presentation & typical showboat guided tour all Rosey..
,, Iraq leaders say the US is still in charge of everything including appointing governemt & intel officials,
,, There still is not 1 Irarqi leading thier missions --
--- It is still the same "Wackamo" as it was 4 years ago,, & we have limited control of part of Bagdad & a few cities...

"Iraqi troops and Iraqi civilians who are in the fight for freedom."

Which Iraqis are fighting for freedom ?

How can you tell them apart in the general mayhem over there, where guys in police and military uniforms are particularly feared by innocent civilians ?

We know which Americans are fighting to keep Bush from losing face. All of them.

But which Iraqis are fighting for freedom. Are they the ones without ammunition ?

Sitting in his comfortable ranch home, Bush said:

"Here at home, it can be easy [especially for Bush] to overlook the bravery shown by Iraqi troops and Iraqi civilians who are in the fight for freedom."

Just as a warm man never really knows how a cold man feels, a guy in his fancy living room cannot know what homelessness is like.

Also, Bush shouldn''t use big words he doesn''t know the meaning of. Like "bravery."

"Report: 1.14M Iraqis have been displaced

Aug 26, 6:30 AM ET

BAGHDAD [AP] - The number of Iraqis who have fled their homes under threat of sectarian violence has more than doubled since the start of the year, despite the increase in American troops that began in February, a humanitarian organization said.

The number of displaced Iraqis shot upward from 447,337 on Jan. 1 to 1.14 million on July 31, the Iraqi Red Crescent Organization said Saturday."
