toldyouso21,,,, Our mistake is both in not paying attention to reapportionment tricks in our own counties

And in not paying attention when well qualified Congressmen & Senators with the "Need To Know" & appropriate security clearances being locked out of obtaining intelligence.

toldyouso21,,, In order to pass normal legislation in the Senate dems still need 9 republican votes for a simple majority passage, a big problem already ---- Impeacment requires a 2/3 majority vote Posted by j-whitman at 07:20 PM : Aug 26, 2007

Never buy the whiner''s excuse. If the Democrats were serious about their position, they would have stood on their convictions and sent the veto bill back again and again and again. With money running out the troops would have had to withdraw and Bush, desperate to salvage something would have compromised. Funding what the President wants to do is the same as no benchmarks for the Iraqis--it keeps the same old ********** going.

The Democrats worry so much about popularity and political repercussions that essentially they are impotent in governing. Sometimes the ''right thing'' has risks and hurts. Democrats are too cowardly and self preserving to do more than cater, kowtow to public opinion, point fingers and whine hoping the public will be on their side.

They never even tried to stand up and call Bush''s veto bluff. They should have sent the same bill back at least 4 or 5 times and also put out tv ads that spoke about how Bush''s veto was harming the troops. They have no ballz. Period.

"toldyouso21,,,, Reaportionment -- decides the numbers of USA Senate created the imbalance we see today, were a majority of Senate democrats is not actually a majority to pass legislation."

What the hell are you TRYING to say j-whitman? Jeeze, man, the Senate DOES NOT go thru Reapportionment. That would be the House of Represenatives. This ranks right up there with 110 senators.

How can anyone take anything you say seriously ? Did you say you were in the nuke subs for 20 years. Man, I can''t believe the navy would have someone as dim as you.

THINK about it. America expects the Iraqi people to help us conquer/rule them. ("Why won''t they help us kick their own azzes?" The Iraqis HAVE been standing up--to the US, but with our blinders on, and the Iraqis fighting out of the box (in ways not in our warfare/strategy manual) many people do not realize that. Because we thought the war was over and those left were either fighting on our side or against us. Here is wisdom--no Iraqis are really fighting on our side. The war never ended, or even was won--it just shifted, now they pretend they are on our side to take money, arms and training and wear us down.

Our mistake is thinking that after we invaded and bombed a country that those in it would cooperate and be our friends. We are not their friends. We are the real enemy. And whether Shia militia or Sunni or Taliban or Al Qaeda or Iranian spy, THE US is the real target and they just changed how they played that game. YOu gotta admit, Americans want to be liked and respected so much, that they convinced themselves that after attacking people who had done nothing to us, that they forgave us and wanted to help us.

82% of Iraqis consistently want us gone. Guns and ammo ending up missing. Shia and Sunni surreptitiously attacking Americans. Iraqi Gov on vacation and leaving the occupiers to fight for them. Billions in dollars missing. No one tells us where the IEDs are buried. No one helps us find the kidnapped no matter how much the reward. Get a clue America--

toldyouso,,,, It''s the old divisive reapportionment fights in our states that appoints the numbers of senatrors & representives to state & the US Congress,...
.. Example,, the District of Colombia has been fighting for years to get Congressional representation & still don''t have it ---- It would give democrats 2 more votes.

As many national security violations & Constitutitional laws they have indeed violated - it still takes investigations by our federal law inforcement agency''s which this White House has totally politisized (Hatch Act Violations) they are controled by the White House & the GOP.

CORRECTION:

Any people (no decency involved) left supporting Bush right now, should do humanity a favor and slit their own wrists or better yet--give in to their mob-bloodthirsty mentality and commence to kill each other. 2008 cannot come soon enough.

Any decent Republican (or anyone else) that was duped by Bush the first time, should get on their knees and ask their maker for forgiveness.

Any decent Republican (or anyone else) that voted for Bush the second time, should get on their knees and beg America, the Iraqi people and the world for forgiveness as well.

Any people (no decency involved) left supporting Bush right now, should do humanity a favor and slit their own wrists or better yet--give in to their mob-bloodthirsty mentality and commence to kill each other. 208 cannot come soon enough.

And Explain the logic of not impeaching due to how much time someone has left. George W. Bush is a wreck happening and his supporters are idiotic zealots.

I happen to live in Florida and I sure hate to tell you this, but Bush USE to have a lot of support from the republicans, BUT NOT ANY MORE........YOU ARE QUITE WRONG.......THE TIDE HAS TURNED. Emperor Bush is a much hated man here in Florida. All you use to see
was Bush/Cheney stickers on cars. Not any more. You will not find one. People are worried their cars will get trashed if they have one.

Apparently there is hope in Florida. Most of my Wisconsin co-workers with the exception of one die hard have all but trashed talk radio. They see Rush and his conservative wanna bees as a bunch of blow hards who live in fantasyland. Hopefully, everyone else in remaining 48 states sees the same thing.

Next years elections cannot come soon enough!

A call by Puerto Rico''s governor for a U.S. withdrawal from Iraq earned a standing ovation from a conference of more than 4,000 National Guardsmen.
