It would be interesting to know who is writing Bush''s speeches now. We know for certain that Bush has very little input into the original draft, but certainly, after hearing his interpretation of VietNam and Cambodia, he rewrote it to suit his spin. Unfortunately, many will believe what he is spinning, either because it is the first they have heard of that time in history or it is easy to forget. Hopefully, some historian will be interviewed on major media to keep the records straight in people''s minds.

GW Bush said:

"One unmistakable legacy of Vietnam is that the price of America''s withdrawal was paid by millions of innocent citizens whose agonies would add to our vocabulary new terms like ''boat people,'' ''re-education camps'' and ''killing fields".

Apparently this moron wants to re-write history.

The "killing fields" arose because the United States set about bombing innocent civilians in Cambodia.

The US bombing of innocent Cambodian civilians (that''s right, we murdered them) drove them to supporting the Khmer Rouge, who in turn, turned on the educated and wealthy, and then started attacking the Vietnamese.

The Vietnamese Army eventually went into Cambodia and kicked their butts.

Of course, all this could have been avoided if the United States didn''t set about murdering innocent Cambodian civilians in the first place.

And to those Republican dumbfukks who don''t believe me, look it up.

GW Bush is a piece of cr@p.

Next he''''ll be telling us how his courage & determination during the great air battle over Midland, Texas enspired him in winning the war in Viet Nam.

I think that if anything his speech today proves that he never has stopped snorting the coke and drinking. He MUST be stoned or drunk to look back at even his version of history in such a scr*ewed up manner. I''d love to see with a tox screen on him would show because either he''s either higher then a kite or as mad as a March Hare.

Every word uttered by this man & his minions should be held suspect. Every word that comes out of this Administration is either a twist or distortion of the truth or an outright lie.

This King & all his men/women have lost all credibility.

just listened to the speech on CSPAN. Did anybody notice if he even mentioned GULF WAR 1 - his daddy''s war even ONCE??
Has Gulf War 1 become the NEW Korean War - Forgotten?
How about AGENT ORANGE or the GULF WAR SYNDROME?

All I caught was the "kiss of death" comment. A politely worded "Heckuva Job Maliki" sort of statement along with LOTS of WWII, Korea and Vietnam talk. Although it was fun hearing him pronounce Nazi so it sounded like Nausea - he seemed to have a hard time squeezing THAT word out.
Whoops, just "FERGOT" about them there "minor" wars fellas.
Speaking for forgetting, has ANYBODY heard much from his Daddy - the OTHER President Bush lately?

Blah..blah...blah...will this guy ever shut up and stay in his room. You had your chance, Mr. Bush, to do good for America, and all you did was make a mess, so be quiet, stay home, and finish up your miserable term in office.

Geezus! And I thought loony-toon couldn''t get any loonier. I really think he is losing touch with reality. Opens his mouth and sticks his foot in it and then says don''t believe what I said, believe what I say. Bonkers. Does the constitution not call for a review of sanity if is affecting the judgements of that office? The he11 with impeachment, bring on the white coat with the arms in back.
