We can''''t afford health care for kids in this country. We''''ve got a war to pay for. If these kids want health care, let them go out and get a job like everyone else. You liberal nuts make me sick. You think the government should take care of everything.

Lars2008,

Where would you like children to get jobs at? Does Kathie Lee Gifford have any openings at her sweat shops?

It''s the stupid war in Iraq that we can''t afford. That''s Al Quaeda''s strategy, to goad us into wars of attrition that will bankrupt our economy.

Katg,

I don''t know what country sys comes from but it doesn''t matter anyway. We can develop our own hybrid single-payer system and adding 30 million plus customers to the market will create millions
of new jobs.

The primary beneficiaries will be the middle class, so tell them they''re leaches on society.

By the way sys, I chose to not have children because I am responsible and I still can''t afford the care that I need. I''ll stand in line for the opportunity to be treated ***!

At the same time, more people being insured means more work for everyone, including processors.

Funny! Let''s ask sy2502 if that''s the case?

katg,

Insurance companies sell many different products so employees aren''t going to lose their jobs in large numbers. There will still be some paper pushing that can be sub-contracted out, just not as much.

At the same time, more people being insured means more work for everyone, including processors.

No, they just "run" us as they rake in the profits! Imagine, becoming filthy rich off of the suffering of others! Ahhhh. Feels so good, doesn''''t it?

Yeah, I''m free and it''s refreshing. You''d prefer socialism?

Somehow I feel more comfortable taking my chances with freedom than forfeiting my life to big brother''''s death care plan.

Insurance companies don''''t run themselves.

Also, poor people already get medical care even if they are not insured through non-profit hospitals, and government programs like Meicare and Medicaid.

Ahhhhhhh...so refreshing to read some common sense!!! I don''t understand why it''s so hard for these people to understand; universal healthcare sucks. One more thing they forget about, what of all of the jobs that will be lost if we go universal? Insurance companies don''t run themselves.

And once the government controls health care, they literally have life and death power over you. Somehow I feel more comfortable taking my chances with freedom than forfeiting my life to big brother''''s death care plan.

And who has life and death power over you when you can''t afford health care?
