Comments on: Romney Wins Iowa GOP Straw Poll
Ex-Mass. Governor Gets 31% Of Votes, Ex-Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee Comes In 2nd
- Woodrow Wilson was by all accounts 'a very smart man'...he dragged us into the First War Against Western Civilization, signed the Federal Reserve Act and supported the 16th Amendment. FDR was another smart man...he gave put Big Government in high gear in the US and got us into the Second War Against Western Civilization. JFK was another smart fellow--he was going to turn things around...break the beast...'scatter the CIA to the winds'...pull out of Nam...issue silver backed nots...but even he was dumb enough to trust the Secret Service with his life and ride through Dallas in a convertible with the top down...
The world is full of smart fellows. They need to have a new reality comedy show...'Smart People Do the Dumbest Things.' If you support the war and big government and the sophistical abuse of the Constitution by lawyers, bench monkeys and politicians, then Romney is as good as any a candidate to follow off a cliff. If you support the US Constitution, then you've got one option in the 2008 race, thus far--Dr. Ron Paul. - Reply to this comment

Dr. Ron Paul is not a filthy rich corporate prostitute, unlike all the other "front runners".
But he is a Repuglicon! SORRY, NO CHANCE any Repuglicons will win the presidency in 2008. Even less chance that the GOP will ever regain control of Congress again in any of our lifetimes. - Reply to this comment
- Of course I love kids though. Properly prepared they taste just like chicken and cut into small enough pieces they make great fishing bait! LOL!

"Romney%u2019s campaign will not provide figures but the price tag for winning is estimated to have been in the millions."

This means nothing outside of Iowa. Romney bought his votes, pure and simple, but it's far more important for Huckabee.
Hopefully, after 20 years of Reagan, Bush & Bush, the voters will wake up and realize they are being taken for a ride. - Reply to this comment
- Do not continue to delude your self the church act in this administration is just that an act a fraud, Cheney and his assistant Bush are puppets of the Neo Conservative political sect and they are anything but good Christian. GBII became born again and stopped drinking supposedly found God right, after the Christian right did not turn out for Papas reelection. Flipper Romney will never be elected even the Repugs do not like him the moral superiority crowd are going for the guy who has been married three times with his third wife then girlfriend being evicted from the home of the second wife and kiddies.

- Oh goodie...another administration controled by a church. Be still my heart! The only way to prevent this is to include a 'separation of church and state' clause into the Constitution...wait..someone says we already have that! ***??? Well, then, we need to have a checks and balance system in place to make sure one branch never becomes the sole power player...wait...that only works when a dictator is not in office. We are so close to being s..crew...ed. Suggestions?

Wanna bet ?
Republicans had no trouble spinning the intelligence of former nuclear submarine command officer Jimmy Carter.(*) (Do you have a clue how freaking smart you have to be to do command a nuclear submarine ?????)
You live by the spin, you die by it.
By the way, must you use a vulgar word like "c*um" in your posts? ("c*um laude")
(*) "Carter was a gifted student and finished 59th out of his Naval Academy class of 820 (top 7%). Carter served on submarines in the Atlantic and Pacific fleets. He was later selected by Captain (later Admiral) Hyman G. Rickover for the U.S. Navy's fledgling nuclear submarine program, where he became a qualified command officer." - Wikipedia - Reply to this comment

That's just the problem, waiting too late to demand change will not allow time to actually effect chanfe for the 2008 elections. - Reply to this comment
