Comments on: Bush Opposes Tax Hike To Fix Bridges
President Also Discusses Pakistan, Iraq, Iran At News Conference
- Of course, what liberals won't tell you,
is that the money that should've been spent by the Government of Minnesota to repair the bridge,
was instead, spent on some boondoggle light-rail mass-transit system that hardly anybody uses.
And, the Government of Minnesota had a 2.1 Billion dollar budget surplus last year.
I put the blame squarely on the Government of Minnesota. They've known about this since the 90's.

Typical Nazi! It's all the fault of "Liberal's". God could you losers change your line? I mean you've been using it now for over 200 years and have used it to attack EVERY SINGLE LEADER of any greatness we've ever had. You clowns attacked Jefferson because he had the VERY LIBERAL Idea of allowing the People to govern themselves. You attacked Teddy for proposing that Business give labor a piece of the pie. You attacked Lincoln for trying to deny the states their "Rights". You attacked Franklin Roosevelt because he wanted to help England in their fight against Hitler. You attcked Kennedy for not starting a War with Russia. You attacked Clinton for balancing the Budget something NO fascist President has EVER done. Can you name some right or something progressive YOU clown's have EVER done. Sieg Heil Bush!! - Reply to this comment
- I guess this is what he meant by 'compassionate conservatism' when he ran in 2000.

- You whiners are too much. The feds make about $0.40/gal in taxes (for doing NOTHING), and the oil companies make about $0.07/gal. But that's still not good enough for you leftest socialists.
Why not move to Chavez land? He'd LOVE to have you there!

So YOU think the Oil Company's should NOT share the pain here. After all it's the Roads that make their profits for them AND because of YEARS of Fascist Budget cuts these Bridges MUST be fixed. IF you nazi's would show a little concern for the Average American and the FACT that their standard of living has sunken to the very bottom of the G-7 since your fuhrer took office, it would be a wonderful thing indeed. ". . .price will rise %u201Csignificantly%u201D to more than $6 a gallon.. .Europeans already pay that much or more. Unsaid was the fact that many more Americans have to drive long distances to work."
Also, one must consider that many of the European countries are more or less socialistic, so consequently, involved with their taxes are:
health care, shorter work weeks, longer vacations, retirements benefits. There is more involved than just paying more taxes on a gallon of gas. At this point, our taxes on a gallon of gas is not paying for what the taxes were originally intended for. - Reply to this comment
- Looks like Bush is more intrested in his GOP Platform of No Taxes than he is in our bridges & nations infrastructure.

Thank You !!!!! You said it so well. What Donnie does not seem to understand about any freedom, is that it stops at the end of the other person's nose, or in this case, at the other person's ears. However, Donnie is simply trying to outrage ~ much like teenagers do, and thus, is he is too immature to take seriously/ - Reply to this comment
- He just doesn't know how he can tell us about THIS..... AND get away with even more...
Bush%u2019s surrender came on two fronts: The environment and the sovereignty-surrendering Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST). As recently as May 25, Bush administration officials reiterated his long-standing opposition to European demands on the environment, especially the Kyoto Treaty, which would impose heavy economic burdens on the United States while exempting Mexico and other smoke-belching nations
Among new climate related demands by Bilderberg is for the United State to increase gasoline taxes so the price will rise %u201Csignificantly%u201D to more than $6 a gallon. The argument is that this will reduce driving and thus emissions. They argued, with little or no dissent from Americans, that Europeans already pay that much or more. Unsaid was the fact that many more Americans have to drive long distances to work.

Let's just borrow more money from China like we're doing to pay for Iraq. Once you already owe China over a trillion dollars, what's a billion more? Charge it!- Reply to this comment
- I don't understand the Oil Industry, they enjoy record profits but don't seem to want to past that on to Americans with lower gas prices! Then it raises the question, how much money do they need? We have words like greed and gluttony but we now need to invent a new word for their insanity with profit. It's truly unbelievable and just plain mean spirited.

Let's also not forget that the Cheney energy bill gave them over $15 billion dollars in tax cuts last year too. As Jon Stewart said it appears to be part of the Bush plan to give the oil companies so much money that they might give some back out of pure embarrassment. - Reply to this comment

- Described as China's 'nuclear option' in the state media, such action could trigger a dollar crash at a time when the U.S. currency is already breaking down through historic support levels."
The words that hit were "NUCLEAR OPTION". Rarely do you find that in a story on currency.
Here is the problem: The United States maxed-out its credit cards long ago, and it needs to borrow and borrow both to raise still more money, and to pay interest on that ever-growing debt. The Chinese, with all those dollars, are willing to lend by buying U.S. Treasury bonds. That keeps interest rates down and that gives Americans extra bucks to buy%u2026 more goods from China.
The mental midget Cheney says deficits do not matter, WRONG as usual, Bush boss. Run away spending Bush, signed every prok laden 30,000 ear mark bill fo r6 years when he and his party controlled Congress not once, not once did he veto or threaten to veto and spending bill while our credit card balance increased by 600 percent under his terms. - Reply to this comment

- Donnie900;
In other words, what people are trying to tell you is that you have a point. But your offensive language offends people to the point that they cannot understand what you are saying. You might as well be some uneducated moron pewking on the deck. And that's what it sounds like. You're right to freedom of speech, I do not deny. But, you don't have the right to be offensive. Other people have the right to come to a clean and cuss free forum. You have the responsibility to use that freedom of speech responsibly and have to use the self-discipline to filter out your emotions which are expressed through expletives. There are other ways to express yourself. I know that I cannot respect the opinion of a man who can't talk without the "f" word or an "s" word between every other word he says. - Reply to this comment

That's because liberals don't seem to have the mental capacity to understand two very American concepts:
1) yes we are one country, BUT
we're also fifty diverse states. Celebrate diversity.
2) Also,
in the beginning of this country, Washinton, DC DID NOT create the states, it was the states that created Washington, DC.
There you go MCVet(Stalin-breath)

- Congress should not fall into the campaign sloganing from the corrupt right nor allow them to set the agenda for our Candidates, they tried this failed with the last boogey man evil Dems will eat your children raise your taxes routine with the amnesty immigration bill their cheerleader President Bush was supposedly pushing.
Let us stay focused on the two major issues facing our country with both being the same issue attacking our national security because of this administration and the republican controlled congresses disastrous policies and run away drunken spending and debt. We not only are mired in an outrageous occupation of a ME country costing 10 billion dollars a week but not the debt to pay that check has come due with a direct threat to our country by China. Who just yesterday threatened our Country our Congress our freedom with what they call the, Nebular Option, to wreck our economy and in requires no planes to be driven into any tower.
Absolutely no new taxes in fact we should be working to reduce the tax revenues going into Washington from the people, when added up 48 percent is an outrage. - Reply to this comment

- There is a so called "Hiway Trust Fund"... had it been left alone by a mostly democratic controlled congress for years and years...there would be gobwads of money to keep the highway infrastructure maintained properly... however it and the Social Security trust fund are loaded with "IOU's" and not much else.
