"I continue to believe this investigation should proceed to its conclusion without any appearance that I have attempted to influence its outcome."

... Implying that he has the power to do so. Wow!

Indeed. We only have about 150 more politicians to go and we'll be set. (I know I know...it's not going to happen, but I can fantasize!)

"Ted Stevens has thumbed his corrupt nose at law enforcement for years, esp during the years the republicans were in complete control of the Senate, while he directed sweetheart deal after sweetheart deal toward his friends and family, all at the national taxpayers expense. It's sweet to see the arrogant bas***** finally get his. Take him down!

Is he the one that appropriated money for the bridge to nowhere or am I mistaken?

Posted by starleo146 at 10:02 PM : Jul 30, 2007

He is indeed, because his son and his friend's construction company were due to make a fortune building the useless thing. Now, hopefully, he's finally built a bridge to prison, with his ego!

Another one to bite the dust is anyone counting and is anyone keeping up? If this keeps up we will have to hire Ernst& Ernst.

what's become of the republican party?
Posted by seven-pesos

Nothing has changed in the Republican Party, seven-pesos, they're just getting caught more often. I imagine that can be attributed to the intellectual midgets now running things at the GOP (Greedy Outlaw Parisites)

They used to be a much craftier bunch.

Too funny! Ted Stevens - you arrogant and stupid old goat, you. I'd love to see you join the other GOP crooks in jail.

I suspect that the Federal government has been corrupt since its inception, but really--this is the most corrupt goverment in our history. I know that King George and his Knights have rights over us commoners, but this is going too far. Has anyone tracked down the King's Swiss bank accounts yet?

GOP = Greed Over Principle

The depth of the Republican "culture of corruption" is staggering! No doubt the Dems got plenty of pork but the list of Repubs who are out-n-out criminals just continues to grow bigger by the week.
