- "The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms."
- Adolf Hitler
"Germans who wish to use firearms should join the SS or the SA - ordinary citizens don't need
guns, as their having guns doesn't serve the State."
- Heinrich Himmler, Hitler's SS leader
"All military type firearms are to be handed in immediately...The SS, SA and Stahlhelm give every responsible opportunity of campaigning with them. Therefore anyone who does not belong to one of the above-named organizations and who unjustifiably nevertheless keeps his weapon...must be regarded as an enemy of the national government."
- SA Oberfuhrer of Bad Tolz, March, 1933
"Licences to obtain or carry firearms shall be issued only to persons whose reliability is not in doubt, and only after prooving a need for them."
- German Law, 1928
"Jews are prohibited from acquiring, possessing, and carrying firearms and ammunition, as well as truncheons or stabbing weapons.
Those now possessing weapons and ammunition are at once to turn them over to the local police authority.
Firearms and ammunition found in a Jew's possession will be forfeited to the government without compensation.
Whoever willfully or negligently violates the provisions...will be punished with imprisonment and a fine.
Berlin, 11 November 1938

- That like maybe the Mayans who killed hundereds of people daily as the price to maintain their civilization (if that's what you could call it), they required those people to sacrifice their life/freedom so that the power structure could continue.

do we really need those barbarian practices? I don't think. Freedom sake is a common objective shared by all Humans on Earth. The only difference lays in the difference of perception of What freedom is. That is a technical definition that could be overcome by central and common organizations such as United Nations. Education and progressive approaches should bring all trends to a common definition of Freedom. No need for sacrifying no-one. Not my kids, Not yours. No one. In attributing a sanctity to all Humans and their souls, we should be able to avoid all conflicts. No blood-thirsty foreign divinity allowed. All of them should be barred. The only divinity that got to be allowed is THE CREATOR who has created all HUMANS equal and who would like to see ALL HIS (or HER) Creatures equally treated. - Reply to this comment

Seems a reasonable analogy to me too.
That's precisely why we have a certified idiot as leader, these politicians are too wishy washy. LOL
If the Jews want consideration, then they need to learn to behave themselves in the Middle East; and stop the same kind of ethnic cleansing of which they accused the Europeans/Germans. - Reply to this comment

Agreed. But freedom should never be something imposed by outsiders who will usually suffer a lot less than the people they force to embrace freedom--before they seek and want it for themselves. Iraqis should also be free NOT to want our war or be the battleground for it. Or do we only define portions of "freedom" for our own convenience? - Reply to this comment
- "It's almost like the Reichstag fire, kind of reminds me of that," he said. "After the Reichstag was burned, they blamed the Communists for it and it put the leader of that country in a position where he could basically have authority to do whatever he wanted."

- "Naturally, the common people don't want war, but after all, its the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag people along whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. This is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifist for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country."

Most times I figure you are off base on your posts, but here is one snippet where I am in agreement. However, it has been my experience lately to hear people saying that freedom is not free, and we need to fight wars to pay for it. In some sense, I feel like America needs martyrs (we call them heros) to maintain our freedom--and their deaths are paying the price. Freedom is an inaliable right in our American Constitution.

- arsee008, I tell you're an IDDIIIOTT, a pure one. I can issue a certificate of authenticity for that purpose. I'm allowed to.
-Actually the Shoah should not only be grabbed by the Jews alone, because result of the Evil acts perpetrated by Nazis were not directed solely against Jews. Dont't forget the result of such barabrian activities in Europe was catastrophic to most of the communities then living on the European soil...
-The United Nations (representing all nations and Humans) have declared the Shoah a Human Tragedy, not only a Jewish Tragedy. And it should never be repreated. So it's grossly wrong to attribute this tragedy only to Jewish people. It belongs to all Humans on Earth. - Reply to this comment

I NO LONGER SUPPORT THE OCCUPATION
The real %u201Coccupation%u201D
1400 years of muslim occupation
muslims, whose home is Arabia, have occupied and brutalized for centuries.
During that time, non muslims have...
been murdered en masse
had their land stolen
their holy places destroyed and desecrated
been sold into slavery
their women raped
their children butchered
and the arabs have the nerve to whine about "occupation" when non muslims fight back
I NO LONGER SUPPORT FASCIST NAZI TERRORISLAMIC MUSLIM OCCUPATION

- You know that Arab run countries are backward, anti-libery, approving of abuse to non-muslims who often have no recourse in the courts. Here you have liberty and a shot at equality. What you have to do is give your non-muslim fellows the same respect they have afforded you by permitting you to be here, unfettered, and free. Use your freedom wisely and do not forfeit it so easily to the old world. Jihad begins in the heart where evil must be conquered first. That usually takes a lifetime and we never get around to exterminating our neighbors.

-doctorwho4,
means absolutely nothing if the Arab countries (mostly US-supported regimes) were all dictatorships. No need to shut one's mouth up if you want to make a point. Don't attribute htis freedom to the fellow citizens, and request from FeelFree1 to be thankful... Freedom IS a divine right to EVERY Human seeing the sunlight and living under Earth Sky. This Freedom is an essential ingredient to all revolutions including the one that lead to the constitutional creation of the USA. So stop bragging about this freedom and asking retribution to anyone int the world. This is an Ultimate right, unfortunately not respected by some Arab countries who enjoy the tacite support of the Oligarchic (now we see it) Moronic Government of Walking-Liar Bush. - Reply to this comment
- "Whatever his views may be on the administration's response to 9/11 and the conduct of the war on terrorism, likening it to Hitler's rise to power and Nazism is odious and demeans the victims of 9/11 and the brave American men and women engaged in the war on terror," Foxman said. "Furthermore, it demonstrates a profound lack of understanding about the horrors that Hitler and his Nazi regime perpetrated."
-Not quite the same of course, but how American fellow Muslims felt about all the insuations made about their religion and the arse008-likes idiotts who started defamation against Muslims and their religion in USA. Why doesn't the ADL ask for restraint from the extreme-right-wingers who would like to see mosques put to burn like the synagogs in 1930's in Europe?

- Do not be sure the apology is sincere as the Koran teaches that it is ok to deceive nonislamics. More likely he spoke his mind the first time, and new exactly what he said, retracting it when he saw the public outrage against it.

But for a Muslim to keep his word to an infidel at the expense of opportunities to expand Islamic power is the Islamic equivalent of a mortal sin.

- RESPONSE TO FEELFREE1: Posted by FeelFree1 at 03:48 PM : Jul 18, 2007 Your antiAmerican attitude is astounding considering no arab country in the world would permit you to say even the things you stated here. In any Arab country you would be caned, beaten, abused, and maybe shot. You hate the same liberty which you seek. You know that Arab run countries are backward, anti-libery, approving of abuse to non-muslims who often have no recourse in the courts. Here you have liberty and a shot at equality.
