Sadly, such attempts to quash reasonable dissent are becoming a pattern for ... partisan tool designed to stifle dissent.
And attempts to keep the masses dumbed down but it's not working. - Reply to this comment
Mr. Kucinich is a good guy, but has no chance of even getting more than a handful of votes except for his house seat. Nothing he has to say or whine about is really going to make any difference so why bother. No need to state the reasons why people would never elect him, they are too obvious. He is just a distraction, unfortunately.- Reply to this comment
- I never liked people with nice hair. The people with nice hair I've met in my life, come to think of it, were all azzzholes.

- Kucinich take a hint from Gilmore before you humiliate yourself more, rig the election you are the one who needs to apologize to Edwards for this ridiculous outrageous charge. Ok must be were the Dems start unraveling and shooting themselves in the foot with raging from the fringe left and by providing the talking points for the GOP. I have no interest in any debate where talent like Kucinich and Huckabee are show cased as possibilities for President, this election we need to do better.

The central power of government in a democracy is lawmaking not voting. Those who make the laws determine how, when, and if voters can vote. Florida and Ohio are but recent examples. Governments throughout history have been tools of oppression; they need not be. American citizens can gain control of their government by becoming lawmakers and turning its purpose to public benefit, and stemming government growth the people are more conservative than their elected officials regardless of political party.
Are the people qualified enough to make laws directly to govern their lives? They%u2019re qualified enough on Election Day to give their power away to political candidates who manipulate the electoral process to get elected. In fact, it%u2019s easier to decide one%u2019s self-interest directly than it is to guess the mind of a representative who will naturally put his or her self-interest first.
American voters have made laws for the last 100 years and their record is as good as their elected legislators with respect to fiscal matters, the people%u2019s record is far superior. - Reply to this comment

More than 70% of the voters already make laws by initiative in twenty-four states and in numerous local communities, and when voting on bond issues referred to them for decision by their representatives serious lawmaking. The children are loose on the post. Someone thinks "sniveling little weasel" and **** Hillary are the basest, most vile and infantile of name calling. Kids aren't supposed to post. Edwards has nothing going for him in the political arena, and Hillary is a flip-flop pandering artist. It would be nice to have discussions without these two. They are like broken records with the same ol' same ol' over and over.- Reply to this comment
- Thursday June 28, 2007 Third Debate Transcript
Tonight's forum features eight Democrats seeking to become their party's presidential nominee.
Tavis Smiley: As I look at my watch, we're down to about five minutes in this conversation. This will be the last question, unfortunately.
DeWayne Wickham: This question is about Darfur. This is the second time that our nation has had a chance to do something about genocide in Africa. The first came in Rwanda in 1994 when we did nothing as more than a half-million people were slaughtered there. What does this country's unwillingness to move aggressively to end the slaughters that take place in Darfur today, what does it say about our claim to moral leadership?
Mike Gravel: Very simply. If we have a president, he has to have moral judgment. Most of the people on this stage with me do not have that judgment and have proven it by the simple fact of what they've done. - Reply to this comment
