I love the way everyone *** about the war dead. How dare we sacrifice 3,600 soilders for the freedom of 40 million Iraqis. But no one complains about those killed on our highways. Posted by cbscrash07 at 02:44 PM : Jul 10, 2007

Are you on drugs? There were approximately 26 million Iraqis ever. That was before the invasion. Maybe there are about 24.8 million left---ooops a few seconds went by, better decrease by at least 4 or 5...

As for the dead---all deaths are not the same. Those who die of cancer or on the highway or for any other reason are in a different boat than those who die because busybodies from another country cause their death with a few lies and mismanagement. The thing is (and this may be hard to understand if you are as crass and narrow minded as your post) each death is unique and devastating to a family and a community and a city and a country. 2 of ours does not equal 2 of theirs--and though you glibly speak of the dead on our highways--imagine someone in your family getting murdered and the minister at the funereal says "no sweat, more people die on a highway" put the dirt on this one and move on--because that is what you are implying. Because 200,000 supposedly will die acoording to you--due to driving negligence and alcohol---is precisely why hundreds or thousands more should not die in a war of choice where the so called "liberated Iraqis" had no choice in their liberation and are dying most of all.

I'll agree that at one time he did. But he lost it years ago.

""Make no mistake. Violence in Baghdad remains at unacceptably high levels," but the United States and Iraq seem to be "moving in the right direction," McCain said. "The progress our military has made should encourage us.""

Like all the progress the military made in Vietnam while the NV were turning McCain into the Manchurian candidate?

Still, at least the man had the semblence of honor, a commodity not to be found anywhere among the remains scumbos, like "Frahd Cheeyikin Freyd", "Holy Huckabee", "Repugnant Romney", "Roody the Froody", and who else?

"People are free to make their own assessments. I think we're doing fine," McCain said. "I'm very happy with the campaign the way it is."
----

I'm sure he's just thrilled. No funding, campaign members resigning like rats from a sinking ship.....

What an absolute crock. Sure, he's "very happy".

Well, we get the same bad news we do our drug dog commercials.. Thats the only thing. If anything, television is an attack on context. One moment, bright and sunny? The next bleak and dismal.

What politicians need to do is get hollywood help. They need to learn how to put some magic in their bullshyyyts.

Assumption #1: No politician is worth electing.
Assumption #2: It is in the best interest of
America to elect no one.
Assumption #3: Our form of democracy requires
that we elect someone from time to
time.
Conclusion: Elect only those candidates who are
the most likely to do the least
damage.
