Despite Erosion Of Support, White House Denies Talk Of Iraq Pullback
- to RandalDS,
There are a number of postings on these sites that indicate that those who still scream 9/11 whenever it is pointed out that we invaded Iraq illegally, don't even believe that BS themselves, but because there is a certain mentality that will justify the unjustifiable because they are afraid to admit that a race, or religious war is what they want, for no other reason than xenophobia.
Such Neanderthals are Bush's last line of support, don't waste bandwidth repeating the truth to those who pretend not to know.
It is better we discuss how we can pressure Congress to put Bush, Cheney, et.al., where they belong, either in jail, or before the firing squad, each according to his crime. - Reply to this comment
- Time to stop the joke. If impeachment is not taken up by congress vote every one of the Demo/Reps out of office. Why pay for idiots to make this country the joke of the world? Cut off their retirements and let them collect Social Security.

No, just the republicans. The democrats do not have the votes to pull off an impeachment of Bush without some votes from the republicans. It is they who are putting party loyalty above their loyalty to America, not the democrats. The democrats simply do not have the votes yet. Lean on the republicans and remind them that they are supposed to be Americans first, before Bush sycophants. - Reply to this comment

I'm still waiting for you to explain what Iraq had to do with any of the above. - Reply to this comment
- Shafii-you little wimp and terrorist cell member. Don't you know you are going to blow your cover by outburst like this. This media is being studied by NSA computers and they are probably going to comb through your greasy little apartment and find more compromising information. You are not even able to write in the American English dialect. You write like a Pakastani, from eastern or northeastern Pakastan. How the hell did you get into this country?

Oh yeah, when will the troops getting home.
Someone has to be blame for all those weather trouble. It is not just a cycle.. it is also a bad signal from God AlMighty.
Iraq and Afghanistan being bombarded by Bush made weather ..drops of bombs and dasy cutters..bullets, missiles and rockets and you still think nobody to blame
Now America is going down...the attacked from the inside...floods, longer rains, hurricanes, storms, bush fires...landslides
It is as simple as..."whatever you done to others ...there is an equal and opposite reaction that others from the sky will do to the same you"
Stop Bush and pray to God AlMighty
Take the troops home..the war is lost..Bush will not be hero forever..impeached him right now for losing billions of dollar spending spree in the war against Iraq and Afghanistan
You want to start the war against Iran now..Bush? the American funds wont be enough for the crippled army

What did Iraq have to do with 9/11?
What did Iraq have to do with the USS Cole bombing?
What did Iraq have to do with the 1998 Embassy Bombings?
What did Iraq have to do with the first WTC bombing?
Answer: NOTHING
Are you stupid or just a troll?
The invasion of Iraq had nothing do with them, but had everything to do with:
- GW Bush wanting to please his dad
- Controlling Iraqs Oil
I would like you to explain what Iraq had to do with any of the things you mentioned. - Reply to this comment
- From the story:
"There is no debate right now on withdrawing forces right now from Iraq," Snow said.
If that is true, Bush and Cheney should be impeached. They were elected as representatives, not dictators. Their own opinions are secondary to those of "we, the people." And, when it becomes otherwise, they are no longer fit to hold public office. - Reply to this comment

And invading Iraq had not single da*mn thing to do with any of them! The only result is that the rest of the Muslim world now has even MORE reason to hate us. No one ever said that all of the terrorists attacks on us were because we invaded Iraq, but the invasion not only did not solve (or retaliate for) those attacks, it has only created more terrorists. It has inflamed an already troubled region.
You really know nothing of history and the interconnection of world events...do you? - Reply to this comment
- Iran is the foremost reason Iraq is unstable today.
Posted by fredgrad2000 at 09:35 PM : Jul 09, 2007
ROTFLMFAO!!!!!!!!
Iraq is unstable today because WE INVADED IT!!! We bombed it. We destroyed it's infrastructure and disbanded it army. We slaughtered men, women and children and tried to force a Western style democracy on a nation of people who don't want ONE! Iran is NOT the reason Iraq is unstable WE ARE!!! - Reply to this comment

"You are not going to expect all the benchmarks to be met at the beginning of something," Snow said."
This is the fifth year, it is not the "beginning."
Benchmarks typically reflect objectives planners intend to obtain, whether they are in the beginning, middle or end.
Tony Snow is an outright liar. But, then again, so is George Bush, so what else would we expect from the slimeballs that lie for him? - Reply to this comment

"1916 -- 36? No, the Irish/British conflict was 100s of years. Not 10, not 36."
Technically, that could be considered to be true, although, there were large periods of peace between "the wars".
There was an uprising in 1916, however, that was put down within a week, and it's leaders were all executed by the British.
Between 1919 and 1921, there was a Civil War that took place between the IRA (Irish Republican Army) and Britain until a truce was called - however, fighting continued until 1922.
In 1969, the Provisional IRA emerged and again declared that it wanted independence from Britain.
That continued until 2005, when the PIRA ended it's campaign of violence, to pursue a political solution.
The latest campaign had lasted 36 years. - Reply to this comment
- If they can take a truck full of bombs and delete a whole city why can't our airplanes just bomb the whole place and then everyone can leave I would start with Sadr City. I know don't jump all over me ,the civilians. Like those bombers cared about the civilians

- It has just been learned that Emperor Bush has hired the fortune teller used by Ronald Reagan's wife, Nancy, to advise her and thus, "indirectly", her husband in matters which proved too difficult for Reagan to solve on his own.
Although the emperor will not admit to being unable to solve his own problems, let alone tie his own shoes or be able to count to 100, he has stated that "successful" dictators such as Hitler, used fortune tellers in the past to great efficiency, provided, of course, they gave him the answer he wanted to hear.
Naturally, any prophecies made by the fortune teller, who will be on the White House payroll at taxpayer expense, will be protected by "executive privilege" from the prying eyes of Congress and and the evil left-wing media.

Lt Gen David Petraeus has said that the insurgency may take 10 years to defeat.
I would add to that, "IF" it can be defeated.
Lt Gen David Petraeus:
"Northern Ireland, I think, taught you that very well. My counterparts in your [British] forces really understand this kind of operation... It took a long time, decades," he said.
"I don't know whether this will be decades, but the average counter insurgency is somewhere around a nine or a 10 year endeavour."

Somebody needs to tell Petraeus that the IRA/British conflict lasted 36 years - not 10.
And even then, the British never defeated the IRA.
The insurgents will remain behind long after Petraeus has been removed. - Reply to this comment
