What will it take to wake up and take action???

How about Osama Bin Laden being captured, kept in prison long enough to KEEP the Republican Party from being destroyed and then PARDONING OSAMA BIN LADEN because George's "Saudi Friends" requested it and "Although we each speak on behalf of different branches of government, and perhaps for that reason cannot help having different perspectives on the matter, it is hoped you will agree, upon further reflection, that it is incorrect to say that the President's assertion of executive privilege was performed without `good faith,' " (from Fielding's quote above)????

If Libby gets off who says George WOULDN'T pardon Bin Laden. OBVIOUSLY a crony that contributes to causing GREAT HARM to the US is perfectly acceptable in George's eyes IF there's a "deal" cut.

Why was the White House using the Republican National Committees email server to discuss the hiring and firing of Justic Dept officials, or ANY of the publics business, for that matter?

Why wasn't it using the White House email server?

(Hint: By law, the White House server is public property, hence, must enter the public domain at some point)

"Last week, Republican Sen. Pete Domenici of New Mexico expressed doubts about the current U.S. military tack in Iraq, joining a recent wave of fellow GOP senators that includes John Warner of Virginia, George Voinovich of Ohio and Richard Lugar of Indiana."

Swim, rats, swim! The USS Bushit is going down!

Bush and Gonzales have already said they had nothing to do with the firings, that it was carried out by underlings, pretty much without their knowledge.

Why would Bush invoke executive priviledge to protect some underlings? And how could he expect that to work?

Huh? Executive Privelege? But he didn't assert Executive Privelege when he first offered to have them meet with Congress before.

So it was only when he was informed that they would be required to tell the truth and under oath did the little pissant get scared.

There can be no doubt that Bush has a lot of skullduggery to hide - he's desperately afraid.

"There comes a point where the White House has to say, 'Hey, look there are certain confidential things in the White House that we're not going to share with Congress, just like there are certain confidential things in Congress that we're not going to share with the White House,"' Hatch, R-Utah, said on CBS' Face the Nation.
As a citizen, I cannot see that there should be anything confidential in the firing of the judges that should not and cannot be made public, to the congress and to the American people. It certainly will not impact the war in Iraq, it certainly won't impact our relations with Iran, North Korea or any other country in the world. It will not impact the price of gas or the state of education or health care in the country . So what is the big deal about disclosure ? We all know that this is simply a fight over power. Orrin Hatch , you need to be voted out of office.

Why does Bush need to claim Executive Privilege? To keep secrets that he, in his own words, was not involved in or had no knowledge of?

If Bush was not involved in the firing of the attorneys, then there should be nothing he has to hide from Congress.

Unless he lied, and we all know Bush never lies!

My guess is some deep rooted voter fraud (already suspect) and firing of attorneys based on their political preference (illegal and more or less known to be fact). Just like Nixon, no dirty president should be allowed to stand behind this ideal which really does not even exist in the Constitution. We need articles for Impeachment now. More US soldiers have died in Iraq for nothing (Iraq was not involved in 9/11) than US casualties on 9/11. Write your Representatives.

We can not be free sitting on the sidelines doing nothing. Folks tried that in Germany in WWII and you saw what happened to them.

What does the Republican National Committee (RNC) have to do with the hiring and firing of Justice Department officials, who represent ALL OF US? It was the RNC's email server where these firings were discussed and now WE THE PEOPLE are being told we have no right to view them?

What is the White House trying to hide? Why wasn't it using its OWN server?

Boy, some truth is getting said tonight, both of you. Bush IS fighting his personal war and he IS rabid and we DO have to end it.

Think of Bush and how he is setting a very bad example for all the little Republicans coming up behind him. They are going to think these kinds of actions are just, right, and acceptable. Who is telling them that these actions are not just, are not right, and are not acceptable.

A shameless dry drunk silver-spoon trust fund baby taking a whole nation into his personal rabid war. Troops are dying for this unfeeling criminal lunatic.

Ya know, one of the founding fathers once said that there wasn't anything more selfish, and self absorbed, than a politician's personal wars. They drag whole countries into artificial philosophies. Weird constituent dynamics.. called "unintended consequences". All because two adults couldn't get along pretending to be politicians.

You'll end this democracy, before I put on that jacket.
