Let's see if I get the right-wing slant here ... the Edwards campaign WANTS Coulter to make these insane statements so they can use them to get more endorsements and contributions.

Maybe some one can tell me HOW they get her to do it. Do they call her up? Coulter on their staff?

The fact that they use Ann's insanity as an EXAMPLE of how the rightwing acts is clearly a smart thing to do.

But they don't control her, and can't predict her. But if she opens her giant pie hole, they should take advantage of it, call her out ... and generate some cash ... very smart.

btw ... anyone suggesting that the Edwards' drop mentioning their dead son needs to also complain whenever GW Bush or Rudy use 911 and the 3000+ dead as a PROP whenever they speak.

Matthews is not "left wing"

He basically leans toward whomever has power at the time. He is anti-war now - but prior to the invasion he let neo-con after neo-con come on his show and say "I think we will be greeted as liberators" without any significant push back, debate or challenge. No "hard ball" challenges or questions.

At the time, the republicans controlled Congress and the White house, and it was the republicans spewing this trash - so he let it go.

Also, if you give him a mere whiff of any potential sexual secrets regarding either of the Clinton's - he loses his mind and can't resist diving in.

This is not "left wing" behavior.

"Guess Mrs. Edwards thinks Christian bashing is ok?"

Dunno about her, but I certainly do. Preferably with a blunt object.

"Well someone has to take the high ground. It certainly isn't John. I mean didn't he wish Cheney dead, too."

No, Bill Maher did. Learn to read, or stop having opinions about what you read.

realpatriot1,

1) Fox has WAY more than Juan Williams as balance. Democrat Stratigists, former democrat campaign managers, sometimes it's actally too much for me to take. It's like they go OVERBOARD trying to be fair.

2) The fairness doctrine is about using the federal goverment to intervene where the free market dominates. Rush Limbaugh does not need to do that because he is NOT a journalist, nor does he try to pass himself off as such.

In actual fact, he says quite clearly that he is a conservative and if you listen to his show, that's the slant you will hear. I heard him say this with my own ears. No, I don't know about you, but that seems pretty up front honest to me.

3) What Coulter said about the 9-11 widows was even put down by Bill O'Reily. I watched that show. He told her that what she said was "way over the top" and she hasn't been on his show since.

Fair...all I want is fair. If NPR wants to be a mouthpiece for liberal causes, that's fine! Just SAY SO! Stop trying to pass yourselves off as unbiased, objective journalists. And stop using my tax dollars to do it.

Does anyone at this point really listen to Ann Coulter? It is an indicator of your IQ if you really take this person seriously. (the more serious, the lower the IQ) The fact of the matter is if you are not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. She has no solutions, only insults for the other political side of the spectrum. This makes her about as credible as Rush Limbaugh. In truth, there are good people on the right and on the left. She is not one of them.

mudrose,

If you have an example where either Edwards said anything about wishing Cheney dead please provide it.

Living in North Carolina I pretty much hear if they so much as *** and I've never heard them say anything like that.

I'd also like to see something to back up the claims on here that he has a bumper sticker about his son or in any way used his son for anything political other than talking to youth about drunk driving.

As Mrs. Edwards said, Coulter has said many ugly things about others over the past few years, not just about her family.

There's no excuse,no matter how you spin it.

Realpatriot. You are so wrong on so many levels about "The Dims" wanting to shut down talk radio. Senator Clinton and Rep. Boxer were overheard saying that "Something has to be done about talk radio" and this was not taken out of contex, it just the end of the quote. This quote is less than 2 weeks old.

infidel_US,

We can agree that Maher is despicable and should be called on it and that MSNBC set her up.

As far as the fairness doctrine is concerned, that's not about keeping people pc,it's about having both sides presented. Like we do here. FoxNews has Juan Williams on to present a liberal perspective. The MSM Sunday news shows will have on a republican & democrat together. When does Rush Limbaugh do that?

I realize and I've already said that in this one instance she was no more out of line than what people like Maher regularly get away with.

If you remember, there was a time when Maher went well over the line. He insinuated that the Sept.11 terrorists were not cowards. What happened? He lost his network show and now has to troll around on cable.

What happened to Coulter when she said the Sept. 11 widows were gaining publicity off their dead husbands? 2 days of bad press, then more tv appearances.

They should both be media pariahs and so should Rosie.

The point I see is a liberal will admit that but a conservative will always defend the conservative,no matter what.
