All govt sucks. No one is on our side. The liberals are Commies and the Conservative are pro-rich. We have bigger issues involving the REAL terrorists who live in our inner cities terrorizing our poor working class people. These terrorists are called gangs. We need to destroy the drug import into our cities and fix the families and our education system in order for our once great country can restore its status.

I know you're a more thoughtful conservative like the latter and listening to some of the extreme left mental masturbation on here is even hard for me, but it's not all as dark as it appears.

Our constitutional rights are the greatest threat to fascists like the Bush/Clinton crime families.
That's why they work hard to destroy them.

mudrose,

Come out of that dark place and into the light dude!

In 1933 it was Big Government coming to take care of us that saved capitalism.

To be a progressive is to look to improving how government operates. Teddy Roosevelt was a progressive.

To be a conservative can mean to protect what's working and doesn't need changing or it can mean to stick one's head in the sand and let the status quo prevail regardless.

I know you're a more thoughtful conservative like the latter and listening to some of the extreme left mental masturbation on here is even hard for me, but it's not all as dark as it appears.

Hopefully , if mudrose TRULY is worried about keeping the Constitution alive he's behind nominating and electing Congressman and Republican Presidential candidate Dr. Ron Paul. So fr I haven't seen ANY other candidate in EITHER top party more of a Constitutional purist.

The above is not the kind of prose to submit to the Harvard Educational Review for publication, much less as a work to stand as a frequently cited source in the field, like Hillary Clinton's 1973 paper "Children Under the Law."

You'll have to raise your consciousness a bit.

mudrose, the constitution was shredded already.

With the warrentless wiretapping and spying on American telecommunications, "Patriot" Act provisions like forcing librarians to REPORT what books targeted Americans are checking out and threatening PROSECUTION if the librarian TELLS ANYONE about the spying, DUMPING HABEAS CORPUS, PS 51 - which GEORGE gave himself the option of TAKING OVER BOTH CONGRESS AND THE SUPREME COURT ON POSSIBLE TRUMPED UP REASONS and oh so many HUNDREDS OF "Presidential Signing Statements" (about 800 or so in 6 years) putting BushCo ABOVE THE LAW I'd say George's remark that the CONSTITUTION was "Just a God D@mned Piece of Paper" sums up what the current Administration has done to it nicely.

Trying to win over her party's liberal activists, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton on Wednesday accused President Bush of disregarding the Constitution and promised to bring a new progressive vision to the White House.

Bush's government has "a stunning record of secrecy and corruption, of cronyism run amok," she said in one of the more partisan speeches of her campaign. "It is everything our founders were afraid of, everything our Constitution was designed to prevent."

I imagine it's the pot calling the kettle black. I especially like her word "progressive", that means violations to the constitution big time. It's a prelude to informing you that BIG GOVERNMENT IS COMING TO TAKE CARE OF YOU. The ever evolving Dumnocrats with the secular society, open borders, socialized medicine - anything progressive is against free enterprise and capitalism. You can kiss our constitution good bye.
