Bloomberg is the perfect Independant Candidate - he's not liberal, he's not nutso religious-right neocon - he's a decent hardworking guy who made his own fortune and has the smarts to build a large multi-faceted international corporation from the ground up - he's a fanatastic businessman and a no-bs politican.

I do hope he runs - he's going to bring a lot of issues - the important ones - not the wackadoo religious *** ones the evangicals keep trying to ride into white house on.

FARTKNOCKER2,

When you say,"He'll give amnesty to the illegals", are you talking about Scooter Libby?

Bloomburg will run in 2008, there is no doubt about that. He seems to be lining up to be the guaranteed winner (the people representing him are obviously good). Don't waste your time at wikipedia researching this guy, the write-up was without a doubt written by an employee, (again telling me this guy is getting his bases covered. His networth appears to be closer to $20billion (they don't seem to mention the $13billion he owns in his comapny). My biggest concern, in the little research I could find that wasn't propaganda, is his attachment to the AIPAC and Israel. The links between Israel and 9/11, which in turn launched this country into a war with one of Israels main enemies (Iraq) have been known and discussed amongst conspiracy theorists (oops, I said a swear word) since just days after the terrorist attack. Is this man going to hold Israel in higher regards than the citizens of this country? You don't get rich in this country by being a nice guy. I want to know what his earnings were for the last several years, where did that money come from, and of the donations that he made, how much of that was just a tax writeoff with a PR perk, did his company make any money off 9/11 (if so, chances are tax payers were getting gouged). Obviously more research is needed on this frontrunner.

There are still a few sheeple willing to shill for the corporate elite in the name of the "middle class," but most Americans have caught on. The GOP has funneled billions back to the pockets of the wealthy; cut taxes for the top 2%, repealed the estate tax; given Big Oil the right to drill on our public land and polute the environment; promoted a war that kills middle class and poor kids while lining the pockets of Halliburton and the rest of the military industrial complex; cut funding for college tuition (mostly used by the middle class); made it easier for corporations to borrow money and file bankruptcy all the while making it harder for the middle class to do either; protected and pampered Big Oil the pharmacutical, insurance and banking industries; refused to raise the minimum wage, refused to enforce sanctions against employers hiring illegal workers; gave tax breaks and made it easier for coporations to export jobs to third world countries; etc. etc. etc. The tools of the wealthy elite (GOP - Guardians Of Plutocracy) want us to believe that all we need to do is keep bending over for the rich... it's gong to "trickle down" one day... one day... one day...

Non-partisanship palaver is not very enticing to me. I want my politicians to be prudent, but I also want them to fight for stem cell research, to oppose getting into stupid military disasters like Iraq, and to oppose blurring the separation of church and state, ad infinitum. The problem with the last Congress was they rubber stamped everything Bush wanted and we've gotten into a horrible mess not easily gotten out of. We need Congressional oversight. So much for non-partisanship.
I'm not impressed with Bloomberg, either...just another rich politician who switches parties so easily it is difficult to keep up with him.

To call Bloomberg a member of the GOP is a joke..By name only..By heart an dislike of the middle class he is an always will be a Tax raising give the money away Democrat..Again another Mega Rich DNC that will kill the middle class if given the chance..He also would give Amnesty to the Illegals an not care about this country..
Posted by FARTKNOCKER2 at 10:44 AM : Jun 20, 2007

Um let's see - Bush wants to give amnesty to the illegals, he doesn't care about this country, he's taxing the middle class to death, while giving the upper class tax breaks. Who's killing the middle class? You're either a fool or 10 years old. With such an intelligent name like fartknocker, I bet you're 10.

D33PTHTHROAT...Don't you read anything that is main stream an not with a leftist Anti Bush slant..or are you as narrow minded as what you read an preach others to read ??

This is a catch 22. This administration creates nothing but bad news, and then you complain when there's no good news about him. Even Fox News is struggling to find something good about him, and they're on his payroll.

"The politics of partisanship and the resulting inaction and excuses have paralyzed decision-making, primarily at the federal level, and the big issues of the day are not being addressed, leaving our future in jeopardy," he said in a speech Monday

This man may be a genius...or at least his political advisors are indeed up in the 140-160 IQ range.

THIS IS OLD NEWS PEOPLE! WAKE the "F" UP!!!!

I've said it many times. We need a VIABLE third party. We need NEW blood in Washington. Not the same old puppets propped up by corporations that we have seen for the past 20+ years.

While dems and repub's are infighting...there are big decisions needing attention that are being neglected. We have seen that the DEMS will not stand up against BUSH. Democrats and Republicans are the same beast. It's as plain as day. People saying otherwise are ignorant or are in on the deception of the american public.

God is VERY judgemental
Posted by mike71067

Perhaps you should take your own advice. Judge not lest ye be judged. Sound familiar?

Let those without sin cast the first stone. How about that one?

It is ignorant people like you that prevent those who truly seek God's love, peace, and forgivness from finding it out of fear of being attacked. I hope that one day you will find God's truth and know that God is God and will love you no matter what.

I don't want to sound like a racist. Bloomberg is a good Mayor in NYC, but he won't get elected as president because he is a Jew.

I'm sorry, but I have no idea what you are talking about. I don't recall any such commands from God in the Bible, and I recall no such comments from Bush stating that the Word of God told him to invade Iraq.

Very intelligent response - I'm impressed.
By the way, is this the same bible that says it's okay to own slaves (Lev. 25:44), and you can sell your daughter into slavery (Exodus 21:7)? Or the one that says you can't eat pork (Lev. 11:6-8)? By the way, I'm occasionally forced to work on Sunday's. Does this mean I should be put to death in accordance with the bible (Exodus 35:2)?

Uh, hate to break it to you like this, but God is VERY judgemental. He is a loving god, but is judgemental also. Perhaps if you read it before making ignorant comments. People might take you a bit more seriously then.

NOPE! The Word of God that I read in the Bible is that of love, kindness, service, and non-judgementalism. I'm not exactly sure where Bush gets his information, but it is not from the same God that I know.
