Ther does not have to be a creator. I just believe there is. I also believe the universe is infinite as is Gods imagination and love for us. I also believe that science is often narrow minded. We say life can not exist here or there. The oxygen content is too low, the presuure to high, no water, or the tempurtures are too extreme. Well that is for life as we know it on earth. Science is saying that life can not exist in any other form but what we have here. My religious beliefs say that as wise as God is he can and probably has created other life in other places that is different from what we have here. As far as religion and political affiliation I do not see a finite connection. I know many christian democrates. To me my political beliefs are based on how I think the government should be run completely aside from any religious issue. After all term limits is not a religous issue, neither is welfare reform, immigration or the war in Iraq. However they are undeniably political issues for which people having differing views. Ofcourse from your comment as a republican I am a complete moron incapable of having a inteligent thought on the matter. With that logic since I am against the war it must be right. That is if my imbecilic logic is right.

Interesting post. But why does there have to be a creator? I understand as humans we seek an explanation. But if God created the universe, who created God? If God has been around for ever, can we just cut him out and say the Universe has been around forever? Just believe the universe is infinite in time and space, and believe it on faith.
Why do we need the middleman. If you can beleive God is infinite, why not the universe? Does it have to be in a book that has been re-written and re-interpretted 100's of times to match the prejudices and bias of the day?

I think it is safe to say that Republicans do not understand the question. Everyday we live the reality of evolution -

Time for them to read the Origin of Species by Darwin

I have yet to find anyone who has a strong anti evolution stand that actually understand what evolution actually is.

Education is kryptonite to rethuglicans! Militant repukes from inland backwaters have been holding the rest of the country back since Civil War days. Though there is a religious component to this, the biggest red-blue divide is intellectual. Educational achievement doesn't necessarily equal intelligence. After all, Bush holds a Harvard MBA. Still, it bears noting that Democrats are better educated than Republicans. You are 25 percent more likely to hold a college degree if you live in the Democratic northeast than in the red state south. Blue state voters are 25 percent more likely, therefore, to understand the concept of evolution.

Most republicans reject evolution because most republicans are morons. It's just that simple.
