Someone had to vote for this guy to elect him or it was all rigged. Where are all those people now? How is it that the Evangelical right wing can elect a President that has done so much evil?

"They are tainted by money; but when the whole system is run by Legal Bribery money (mostly Corporate Money lobbying) then it becomes rather hard to expect a truly decent candidate."

Our government is run largely by unelected lobbiest. They grease the skids with money from big business and law is made or blocked in the process. I have heard that this is the first administration that allows the lobbiests to sit in on the budget planning stage. Proposals are literally created around their needs.

A good example of this is Gov. Rick Perry of Texas passed a bill to require all grade school age girls to have the cervical cancer vaccine. This was a short-lived triumph for the pharmaceutical business until it was determined that Rick Perry didn't have the authority to make this decision. Apparently the forefathers realized that most Texans were mentally challenged (ie GWB) and they put some limits on their Governor.

32 percent are satisfied with Bush's performance. Who the heck are these people? Are they living under rocks?

There was an elderly lady that wrote in to the Buffalo News two weeks ago. She said to the effect of, "In all of my 80 years, I've never seen anything like this. Don't the American people realize they have an obligation to support the President whether they agree with his decision or not." I almost choked to death on my toast. There's your answer - these are the people that still think respectable presidents like Lincoln, Jefferson, or Washington are still in the White House.

I wrote in to argue that by using that logic, we would still be making tax payments to the King of England, but it wasn't published.

"This class warfare is really getting old. Try something else."

No class warfare just so long as my class is the one on top. A closer investigation would rveal to yo uthat the rich are the ones sucking up government resources and entitlements. When the right wing uses the term "class warfare," it's code for their desire to maintain the status quo.

32 percent are satisfied with Bush's performance. Who the heck are these people? Are they living under rocks? Are they taking their meds? Do they all work for Halliburton? Are these the same folks who believe that kids rode to school on the backs of dinosaurs and ate brontoburgers 6,000 years ago?

You ever wonder why our corrupt liberal MSM wolfpack never releases "Congressional" approval numbers?

A new poll out yesterday puts Congress approval at 29%

Rasmussen yesterday has our President at 36%

FYI

On election day, there are better ways to alter the voting, or should I say the counting.

That is an absolutely amazing post. You can twist everything into the Democrats fault.

George Soros strongly supports moveon.org which is against the dictatorship of George Bush, and wants to prevent him from grabbing absolute power, like the majority of Americans.

Social Security isn't going broke because Dems are dipping into it. The fact is more people are collecting more money from the system than ever, and they're living longer and collecting longer than ever too. I'm sure if Bush would have had his way, SS would have been investing heavily in Haliburton, Enron, and Northrupp-Grumann stocks. Ya know - "private accounts".

"Since government run programs do SO well, that really wouldn't have been a bad idea." - What government program are you referring to that runs well? I'm very curious to see this answer.

And yes - the Democrats are currently powerless. But wait until 2008. You think the public discontent with the Republican party led to them losing their majority in 2006, wait until they have the 66% in both houses and the Presidency.

Well, luckily the Dems weren't able to shove that immigration bill down our throats.
Posted by lestb35 at 04:14 AM : Jun 08, 2007

That immigration bill was written by a bipartisan team, meaning both Dems and Repubs supported it. John McCain is a major supporter of it as is your beloved idiot George Bush. The bill was supported by the NEOCON number one lapdog McConnell and opposed by Ted Kennedy. If you took the time to read the facts you would see that the Dems are not pushing this bill at all. Try reading the facts before you shoot off your stupid mouth.

I guess that 32% of the overall population that still approve of Mr. Bush do not watch TV or listen to the radio or read. Well of course 7 out of 10 Republicans that still go for him is not suprising, its almost an election year and they are blindly showing support for their party. The 78% that want him gone can not wait till a new election and Repulicans do not be surprised when the Democrates not only win the presidency but the congress will also be streghtend by Democratic party. I think the present administation is so corrupt and has been telling nothing but lies from the beginnning of this admistration to the American people. Of course, if you are going to vote for the first time be careful who signs you up because repulicans will through out your name if you do not sign up with their party.

People who keep blaming the Dems in Congress for being powerless are off the mark. They are powerless, but that's because Congress is not full of Dems. They have only a slim majority, and simple math should tell you they just do not have the numbers to override Bush's veto. Repeatedly pushing bills that will fail would just make them look silly and even more powerless. Better to let Bush fail on his own. He's been doing a good job of that, as evidenced by his approval numbers.
