Like any other obident Priest, he writes what the Pope would want him to write.
The catholic church has been against abortion since it found out that the more children that catholics have, the more money and power the catholic church has.
It is a classic dictatorship. Without the catholic congregations they have, the Pope would be nothing, no money, no political or any other kind of influence. So, don't let their people have abortions, even if it means that the child will be hungry all their lives, that they will be born with defects, that it may kill the mothers. Even if a mother does die, allowing an abortion for one reason might allow an abortion for another. Thus allow NO ABORTIONS. Logical, right?

I know! My wife constantly tells me I need to make an appointment with our priest and have a looooooong talk. I constantly struggle with feelings of hate for muslims, liberals, illegal aliens, and our government. Pretty sad, huh? It's only because I care.

There is nothing hypocritical, pathetic or confusing in Giuliani's position. I do not care if a cnadidate prays or not, believes in god or not. Their religious beliefs are theirs not mine-the Catholoic church should not be trying to ramm it's beliefs down my throat. lets get god and religion out of politics !!!

Good! As a Catholic, I was happy when a bishop stood up to Kerry and would not offer him the Sacrament of Communion. Why should he? Either live the faith and make it apply or stand aside and let it deteriorate.

If Kerry didn't deserve it, then neither should Rudy or any other pro choice candidate who is Catholic.

Usual church meddling. Giuliani already said he is personally against abortion. That should satisfy his church leaders but no, they are not satisfied until Giuliani vows to make his belief into law, and force everybody else to do what the church leaders say.

Rudy Giuliani represents many people, not just Roman Catholics. There is nothing "pathetic and confusing" about his stance if you recognize and respect the fact that abortion is a moral issue where different cultures have different viewpoints.

His stance acknowledges that people are entitled to make their own moral decisions and should not impose them on others.

He says that Giuliani is hypocritical--first of all the Catholic Church has no more moral authority after harboring the pedophiles. Second he better avoid all mirrors lest he see a bigger hypoocrite--who cares what the Catholic church has to say anyway???

Bite me bishop. I am sick of ALL religions not paying taxdes yet forcing us to listen to their politics AND absolute hate-mongering. If we say something bad about them then we are deemed immoral. Nothing like pedophile priests, cover-ups and gay-bashing to make one liove their opinions.

For anyone in any church to say someone is a hypocrite is the most ironic thing I can think of. You look down on other's from your pedestal while committing all the sins you condemn others for. You%u2019re all con artist and brain washers. For anyone reading this you don't have to go to church to believe in GOD or be a good person. Get away from there lies and deceit and give your money to the needy not the crooks in the church.

The Roman Church has every right to discipline and admonish their parishoners-- pedophiles as well as those who endorse infanticide. I see no issue with the Roman Church maintaining consistency in this regard... or, to quote another former politician, one should not let the perfect be the enemy of the good.
