Monica Goodling Says Attorney General Tried To Review His Version Of Firings With Her Amid Probe
- %u2026.no, no, no, they are right lying to the American People about receiving BJs from other than your spouse is wrong, lying to the American People about the Intel that justified the preemptive invasion of Iraq that resulted in the deaths of 200,000 plus human beings and lying about the projected cost of the conflict being under 50 Mill at most instead of the 2 Trillion it will cost, is really really wrong its just a matter of degree, rightie, but I guess you can compare the two if you must, maybe some people really believe them to be equally wrong?.

- "I may have gone too far, and I may have taken inappropriate political considerations into account on some occasions," Goodling said. "And I regret those mistakes." "I believe I crossed the line, but I didn't mean to," she responded.
Nice way to sugar-coat that you committed a felony. She believes she crossed the line but didn't mean too???? It would have been more realistic for her to say "I crossed the line because I am part of an administration that believes the laws don't apply to us." Because that IS the reality. I am sooo ashamed of our government...what a bunch of shameless scum! I hope she gets sent up the river with the whole worthless lot of them...Americans need to rise up and clean house! Start with greedy corporations and finish in the Oval office! - Reply to this comment
- O.K. mudrose you seem to be dangerously close to admitting that Gonzo lied? We all know that you would never admit that a GOPer has ever, could ever, will ever do anything outof line... inspite the criminal convictions, et al. So what gives? Are you finally willing to admit that someone in this corrupt administration did something wrong?

No. I'm not close to admitting anything. You people just don't get it. Lying is just that lying. Implying that lying is acceptable in one instance and not in another is absurdity to the nth degree. In fact, I consider it stupidity. Parsing is. . . oh heck look it up. I don't like kangaroo courts and this is the mentality. Can you grasp that much? - Reply to this comment
- He did lie, which is wrong, but you forget he lied because your cronies were digging into his *** life, which was none of their business.
in addition, a filander/adulter is not the same as a 'perv'. Get a dictionary!

I think you are the one who needs a dictiionary. You obvious can only handle one definition of things at a time. He sat in the oval office, the slimball that he is and was in dereliction of his duties while hot lips was helping him stand tall. And you think we were only interested in his perversions? You truly are a jocker. - Reply to this comment
- It's absolutely amazing how you people parse the word "lie"... A lie is a lie and if it's impeachable in once instance, it's impeachable in another (for Gonzo it was also impeachable for the Clintoids).

- Mudrose, You better check the polls. Bush has made the U.S. the laughing stock around the world. In fact, much of the world has a much more tolerant view about *** and couldn't understand what all the Lewinski fuss was about.

- You know after millions and millions of dollars spent we found out and we did not really care that Bill Clinton had ***. He is one of the most popular Presidents in history and would be re-elected if he could run.
But dumb-boy by far is the worst President in history and his dad is runing for second place. At the rate this guy is going the only people left who think he is doing a great job will be the last of the republican party.
The tide waters are rising and the next wave is coming in November of 2008. I wonder how long it will take for the republicans who are up for re-election to realize that their next stop will be the unemployment line.
And yes, she is a criminal who is not going to jail, but the good thing is no one will ever hire her to be their attorney. - Reply to this comment
- Clinton's sexual issue - agree, he lied under oath. Not an impeachable offense - but did need some reprecussions. people that were hurt out of that was his family.
Gonzo's lies - imapcting thousands of americans, fired good people, left justice in the sewer.
How really caused more harm?

It's absolutely amazing how you people parse the word "lie". Amazing I tell you, amazing. A lie is a lie and if it's impeachable in once instance, it's impeachable in another (for Gonzo it was also impeachable for the Clintoids). That Bastardo a mockery of his office and a mockery of the United States abroad. He was the laughing stock of the entire world. He only hurt his family. Believe me he couldn't hurt that battleax he is faux married to if her life depended on it. The man is a slimball from the word go. However, since this country is now an open book whereby anything that is covert is overt, and terror is a memory, and there is no war and there is no threat and the towers never went down and Hilter reigns and Rosie O'Lardass can say socialist propoganda on an alphabet network, and everybody lied by the left, parsing does come in handy. You should all fall off the left side of the earth and take that moran Gore with you. - Reply to this comment
- No one was interested in his sexual behavior. Unfortunately, if we were, he wouldn't have been elected. There were enough woman stating that he was a perv, which to this day he still is. It would have cost us less money however, if the man came straight out and said what he did. But he didn't and the point is HE LIED!

I thought violating federal laws based on political loyalties was a requirement to work for the Bush gang? - Reply to this comment

- Lol, National Journal's "Inside Washington" reports that this woman (who is a graduate of Pat Robertson's Regent University Law School) was the one responsible for ordering the drapes for the partially nude statues in the Justice Department during Ashcroft's tenure as AG.

Really?! No wonder she is good in covering-up. And just for the record, a woman's tear is a very good defense mechanism. Its a way of saying... I knew nothing, nothing at all... I didn't know... [that America know what I did] (sob and sob) - Reply to this comment

- I suppose this is what we should expect from any and all Regents University Graduates. This is the very purpose the school's founder expected to happen have happen. They are a bunch of hypocritical bigots.

- Yes, Gonzo lied. Said he had nothing to do with the firings, was not aware, never attended meetings, they were fired for performance, etc etc under oath.
Emails, calendars and other documents have shown just the opposite. IE he lied.
Clinton's sexual issue - agree, he lied under oath. Not an impeachable offense - but did need some reprecussions. people that were hurt out of that was his family.

- I can not stop laughing this is just to stupid to not be true. She cried and doesn't remember what a joke. I mean what kind of school lets something like her out. I wonder where she will work next. Hopefully not in this country maybe Iran where she belongs.....

- Mudrose - She knew she broke the law when she discriminated on hirings using their political backgrounds-beliefs as a Yes or No. Look at her own testimonity. Taught in every basic Law 101 course, and she is a lawyer.
She wanted immunity because she knew she was guilty, and they are looking for the guilty parties. Sure we will find more under this crooked AG before this is done and over with.
As for no contact with the WH, plenty of emails show that is also a lie. Why does Karl Rove have to approve who is hired and fired at Justice? Is he the new AG?
I admire your support of the party but I have to question why. These people are lying 24/7 - real Rupublicans used to mean something, other than wild war adventures, hugh spending and corruption to the tenth level. - Reply to this comment
- First, I must state how amazed I am that the Repiglicans have the nerve to complain that over $250,000 has been spent on this investigation, but these very same people spent millions investigating Clinton's sexual behavior.
