...you will note that Rafterman1 uses absolutes when describing Americans and that AMERICA IS controlling their lives, but when describing one of the most oppressive, restrictive religions on the planet the Iranians just "don't care for it". I guess lopping off heads and hands is just an inconvenience to them...right?

Maybe if you LEARNED of other cultures instead of just parroting the fear mongering of the right wing, we could solve this terrorsim problem.

...and that goes both ways. It seems that you require Americans to learn something about their culture, but little is required from them except they watch our movies and listen to our music. Now there is a realistic cross section of middle America....yikes!!

The worst President in United States History?

A tie between the coward, bigot and liar out of Plains, Georgia and his fellow Jimmmeee - Buchanan, who allowed the South to secede in 1860, and wrung his hands over it, just as the bigmouthed, gutless wonder of Georgia did when our Hostages were seized on November 4, 1979.

If Mr. Carter had the guts - and foresight - to turn Tehran into a radioactive paved parking lot on November 5, 1979, we could very well have been spared 9/11, or an Iran preparing to use nuclear weapons against Israel - and us.

I am not a fan of Bill Clinton, but he bent over backwards trying to bring peace to the Middle East. Arafat turned down the best deal that the Palatinians(SP)will probably ever get.

President Bush more or less said that if you didn't like that deal, I have nothing better to offer; call me when you are serious about peace. In the mean time, it is up to the people in the MIddle East to solve this problem.

If we try to help, we are putting our noses in somebody elses business. If we do nothing, we have people saying, "Where is the USA."

Sure polly-wanna - Carter didn't give the military any budget for upkeep. That's why the hostages spent 444 days in Iran. We had no military. Still on life support? The man is a bigot, an anti-semite, and insane and you are right up there with him.
