- I am so glad that Jimmy Carter had the balls to not be traditionally diplomatic and to speak out against Bush, who is exactly what he has been called, "The worst president in history". I have never seen our country more anxious to start anticipating the next election, you'd think the election was this November, for all the attention the nation is paying to our upcoming candidates, and can you blame us? Bush has done nothing but run our country into the ground, put us trillions in debt, gas prices have multiplied by 3, most of the world hates us now, and he has the blood of thousands on his hands, INCLUDING those who died in 9/11. Wake up people, quit listening to Rush Limbaugh and being a sheep of the Republican party and get some common sense....Jimmy--xoxoxox to you!

- Ever hear the expression "It takes one to know one"? Carter was a very weak president in a host of areas. He allowed the Iranians to keep our citizens prisoner WITHOUT TRUE CONSEQUENCES. He gave away the Panama Canal. We had the worst inflation ever under his "leadership." Funny thing is, ever since his one-term in office he has seen fit to lambast EVERY one of his replacements- yup, even Clinton. Carter hates the fact he is irrelevant in today's political arena. Both Repubs and Dems tune him out...

- What would really bolster Carters' opinion of Bush would be to have another ex-President come out in support of him - and agree Bush is the worst. Is anyone in the media asking them if they wish to comment ?

- So carter did "everything" to keep us out of war?? What he did was DELAY a war that had been brewing for decades. He ignored the threats, wrung his hands and allowed our citizens to remain prisoners of over a year. For those who rewrite history, we are were we are today because we did nothing for decades. There is a thread and for those who are not blind, they should be able to see the thread.

Eisenhower toppled the Iranian government.
Nixon started oil quotas. Ford continued them.
Just face it, jane. You hate Carter. That's acceptable. But you do NOT want to know the truth. You just keep harping on the same old baseless *****.
Carter didn't "wring his hands." The hostages could have come home a lot sooner had Reagan not "cut a deal" to give Iran arms. And being the egotistical bastardd that he was, he had them held until the very minute he became president just to make himself look like a hero.

what's your point... that there is no utopia... duhhh
at least in the USA they did get busted... corruption is rampid in all the islamic countries... and if you are not a muslim you are locked out... typically you have to have a muslim partner who collects 50% of the profits and do nothing for them...
as bad as capitalism is... it is the best thing on the planet... especially for the working guy... even the lowest paid in a capitalist country can invest and become financially independent and secure... even a dish washer...

I have a job, in fact I own my own company. I could take advantage of the cheap labor but I choose to support my community and its residents.
There are way too many opportunists out their that think they are entitled to take all they can and not give anything of value back. Anything, including capitalism, can be taken to far. What some of these corporations are doing in the name of profits is criminal. Just one example is how Enron screwed the public in California and hung their employees out to dry to see capitalism gone berserk. There need to be checks and balances to everything and this administration has tried removed them all in the name of corporate profits.
