Schumer And Feinstein Say Attorney General Has Been Too Weakened To Do His Job
- It's well known that Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and President Bush are good friends. If Mr. Gonzales was a smart good friend to the President, he would spare the President any further drama related to this matter and step aside. Friends don't let friends get tortured! I understand that Attorney General Alberto Gonzales is the first Hispanic Attorney General and what that represents and he doesn't want to crash and burn, but there are certain political realities and he can't overcome them and be effective or credible at this point. Do the President a favor and offer your resignation sir.

- Germany was allied with Japan who did attack us
Germany was sinking *** near all of our supply ships going to our allies. And if you dont think Germany would not have pressed attack any further you are retarded....but we already know that. Your econmomics half truth has showen that

What YOU think and what happened are TWO different thing. Germany did not have the means to attack the main land US. They didn't succeed in attacking the Soviet Union on their own continent.
I'll use smaller words so you can understand.
Good luck and try again. - Reply to this comment
- I love the "you don't know what a Fascist is" arguement.
Come one, Neo-Cons. Try again. Try harder.
Ignorance is Strength.
Freedom is Slavery.
War is Peace.
From The Roman fasci- a bundle of sticks to show unity. The word *** eveolved from this Roman Word. The Word Fascist also came from this Roman word.
The Ancient Roman Empire was the FIRST Fascist Nation.
Moussilini defined Fascism in the 20th Century. Fascists HATE Socialism, Liberals, Communists, and THINKING.
Fascism in AMERICA entails:
1) Dictator. Power in the hands of the Few (The Elite)
2) Censored Media (PROPAGANDA)
3) Cronyism (Nepotism)
4) Extreme Nationalism
5)Distain for Human Rights (TORTURE)
6) Scapegoats for Unifying Cause (Liberals, Terrorosts, Ice Cream Men)
7) Supremacy of the Military
8) Obsession with National Security
9) Religion and government Intertwined
10) Corporate Power is Protected
11) Labor power is Suppressed
12) Distain for Intellectuals and Arts
13) Obsession with Crime and Punishment (Cops, Animal Cops, ect) - Reply to this comment
- Dean Boyd, a Justice Department spokesman said Gonzales' testimony "was and remains accurate."
Well sure, that makes sense. "I don't know" is as accurate as Gonzales gets. - Reply to this comment
- Can you believe this answer? Bush is directly asked if he told Gonzales and Card to go visit Ashcroft to get him to sign off on what the DOJ ALREADY said was ILLEGAL. His response?
"There's a lot of speculation about what happened and what didn't happen. I'm not going to talk about it."
The speculation would have ended the moment Bush had said yes or no to the question! It's very clear from these kinds of answers by Bush and Alberto "I don't know" Gonzales, that if they had nothing to hide, they would have simply told the truth long ago and ended this charade. - Reply to this comment
- Germany was just as big of a threat to us as it was to France, so it's not like we went over there and rescued them out of the goodness of our heart.

IDIOT STATEMENT OF THE NIGHT GOES TO....
Really, and just how was Germany going to attack us? They already occupied France. The French were defenseless.
To say that the USA was as much at risk is the stupidest, most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
Go to bed will ya. - Reply to this comment
- UH Sorry but France has been no ally to US you jacka$$. They would be speaking German twice in the last century if it wasn't for us. The fact that they haven't supported us like Britain has along with about 10 other countries with troops in IRAQ. Why don't you look up the Nuclear reactor they sold IRAQ a few years back or the fact that they named a street after MUMIA ABU JAMAL.
Your not a liberal vet.
Your a liberal PU$$Y

What a complete and utter right wing crock of sh*it. France was an ally of the US's before there was a US and was the first nation to recognize our sovereignty. As for the arrogant "They'd be speaking German without us" bullsh*it we did NOT save them from Germany. We joined WITH them and many other allies to defeat a COMMON enemy. Germany was just as big of a threat to us as it was to France, so it's not like we went over there and rescued them out of the goodness of our heart. Our interests were every bit as much at stake as the French or the Brits. have you ever considered reading SOME history before you speak? or are you like that ****king idiot in the White House who doesn't understand it? - Reply to this comment

Here was Secretary Cheney, testifying before the Senate Armed Services Committee on Jan. 31, 1992:
"Overall, since I've been Secretary, we will have taken the five-year defense program down by well over $300 billion. That's the peace dividend. %u2026 And now we're adding to that another $50 billion %u2026 of so-called peace dividend".
Cheney then lit into the Democratic-controlled Congress for not cutting weapons systems enough:
"Congress has let me cancel a few programs. But you've squabbled and sometimes bickered and horse-traded and ended up forcing me to spend money on weapons that don't fill a vital need in these times of tight budgets and new requirements. %u2026 You've directed me to buy more M1s, F14s, and F16s%u2014all great systems %u2026 but we have enough of them". - Reply to this comment
- If you go back on a promise made to yourself, than you can't trust anyone...and the only meds I take these days are painkillers to remind me of that other treasonous SOB, Nixon who caused the Vietnam war to go on for another seven years so he could become president(does the name Anna Chenault ring a bell?)

Of course a blind partisan like yourself sees no blame in what JFK and LBJ did to escalate the war.
Thanks for your service to the country. However, at least you came back....my brother (1967) didn't.
Sorry to hear about your pain.
Cheers. - Reply to this comment

No you won't say because you are still in the country. Your story about moving out is BS to the highest order. I admire you trying to get your point across...but leaving the country because Bush was elected?.....gimme a break.
Imagine my concern as to what a jerk*ff like you believes or doesn't believe.

Moron.... The budget is stored in the US Treasury. Yes I agree spending more than is brought in creates a defecit, and that is exactly what has occurred over the past 6+ years. Stop trying to take a snap shot of 04 -05 and cover up the fact that the right wing congress blew through trillions of tax payers money.
mpville - as far as you thinking I am Liberal P*ssy does not matter. I know what I sacrificed for this great country. Unforunately I gave that so azzholes like you could have freedoms to spout your narrow minded statements and attempt to supress those very freedoms for all Americans. Question to you have you ever served, if so thanks if not go f*ck yourself? - Reply to this comment
- Alberto Gonzales. The gift that keeps on giving.
Even when the DOJ itself wouldn't sign off on Bush's illegal wiretapping - AND both Comey and Ashcroft agreed that it was illegal way back in '04 - Bush reauthorized it anyway, KNOWING it was illegal.
Cut to acting AG Comey getting an emergency phone call and rushing to the hospital to protect an ailing and semi-conscious Ashcroft from Gonzales and Andy Card, who were trying an end run around Comey to get the illegal wiretaps authorized. I assume so they could have a fall guy in place when it all went up in flames. And Gonzales is Attorney General now? Well, George Bush picked him, so it's kind of par for the course. - Reply to this comment

You probably missed economics class in high school, but let me help you.
The deficit (correct spelling, you missed that class too eh?) pertain to the "economy", not the treasury.
A budget deficit occurs when the government spends more money than it takes in. The opposite is a budget surplus.
The 2005 fiscal year deficit amounted to 2.6% of GDP, below the 3.6% recorded in 2004 and the post World War Two high of 6% in 1983.
Seems like we didn't fail after that...did we. Go back to your blogs.

Okay...I'm going to try and correct your grammar here.
1. Its a defecit not a deiect.
2. When you are speaking to someone like you were when you said "Know try to argue that one." The correct verbage should be "NOW try to argue that one." You didn't make it too far in school I take it.
Your grammar astonishingly is far better than any of your arguments....which by the way make no sense.

- They don't haev lives. They don't have answers. They just do their tired "conspiracy, anti-american" rant where the question everything after the fact. That way they look like geniuses.
What we should do is just tell them all that Bush stepped down and Bill Clinton took over again. Nothing would change, but they would be happy again, cause Slick Willie was in control and he looked good with a SAX in his hand on MTV. Then they could continue with their cyber lives. - Reply to this comment
