White House Reaches Agreement With Bipartisan Group Of Senators On Overhaul
- I honestly hope this is true for I been in the united states for all my life. My mom wanted a better future for her kids, just like your grandparentes parents wanted a better future for them. It has been hard on me for the fact that most my life I never been able to get a job under my real name even when I know I have a better education, speak and write a lot better than the average American. I ment no disrespect with that comment, I said that because I graduated high school, and not all people do, I finish and passed all the real estate classes you need to become a agent but could not take the final test because I did not a S.S NUMBER. Then because of that I had no choice but to study something else so I went back to school and got a certificate on A.B.S of Diesel Mechanics, finally I was happy to have achieve somthing above my high school DIPLOMA/CRTIFICATE, then I did get a job on mechanics but was getting under paid even when I was the only person with such a document. Funny not really, today I have to work at whatever comes my way,I manage a nightclub, but if I had to go back to Mexico or stay in the U.S. I will stay in the U.S. even if I have to work like this for the rest of my life with out my name. A simple but crazy fact that I dont know nothing about Mexico, but what I have seen in some movies, think about it all the other people like me, all of them are staying too.

- Wow, what a work force that would be for the farms, forestfire, military world wide. Even better than Mexico and the rest of the world.
And they will call themself "Americans". not Mexicans or hispanics. - Reply to this comment

supporting this bill. I am sorry for him. - Reply to this comment
- Here is a phrase to get used to. The Browning of America. You're going to be hearing it a lot in the future. Because even if we shut the borders down completely and managed to throw out every illegal alien, in the next few decades the United States will gain a majority of Americans of Hispanic descent from all of the Americans of Hispanic decent that are here now and in many cases have been here for dozens of generations. At the bottom of all of this anti-immigrant talk is the fear of that truth and a desire to slow down or stop it from happening. However you might as well try to stop the rain from falling or the sun from shining. Within 40 or 50 years America will no longer be controlled by white people for the first time in it's history. For the first time in it's history the majority of people here will have grown up hearing Spanish spoken at home by their grandparents. It'll be up to them if they keep English as the national language. But hey, I'm already 50 and don't plan on living more then another decade or two, so I won't get to see how white Americans react when they finally realize that we ain't on top no more. Kind of a shame because I'd love to see it. ;-)

- Yes, We'll riot in the streets.
This is no more than an invasion of the undesired illegal immigrants.

Trying to throw them out violently will last until the very first news report showing a dead family, esp a child or baby. Then all of the support from all of the people who say they want them out will disappear like a puff of smoke. It sounds tough to say we'll throw them out, but once the blood starts to flow the majority of people here will demand that it stop and that the killers be thrown into prison. Throwing them out ain't gonna happen. - Reply to this comment

- There are not 30 million illegals here! there are between 10 and 12 million. There are more the 44 million legal Hispanics in this country, almost all of whom were born here of families that have been here for many generations, in many cases since before there was an America or white people here. As for why not let the rest of Mexico come here, well fortunately for us most of them don't want to. However just look at a map of the Western Hemisphere. Notice how geographically most of it is Hispanic? Well guess what, it's much much more Hispanic in population and many of them do want to come here, so unless like I said you want to close the borders completely and just shoot anyone who tries to get in ala the Berlin Wall, you are not going to keep them out.
besides, even if you could kick all of the illegals out it's still not going to change the fact that the majority of people in the US are going to be Hispanic in the next few decades, just from those being born here legally. - Reply to this comment
- Fine then we'll bloody riot in the streets. It won't be the first time, or the last.

- Well then RAndal, why stop at 30 million why not save all Mexicans from abject poverty and let them all come here since obviously Mexico has absolutely nothing to offer any of it's citizens. Why stop at 30 million

- OMG RAndal you're just not getting this. THEY ARE ILLEGAL. THey don't belong here. They belong in their home country. You seriously don't get that do you?

I'm saying that the fact that they are here illegally is a moot point! It does not matter because it does not change anything. There is no way to send them all back without bloody rioting in the streets. It simply is not going to happen. We have no choice but to make them legal, because there is No other option. - Reply to this comment
- Bull. this whole "but if they only came here legally" is a load of cr*ap, considering that it's almost impossible for them TO come here legally. Also the reason they come here is the same reason all of our ancestors came here, for a better way of life, so they ARE going to come here. There is no law or wall that is going to stop them unless you want to minefield the border and put out shoot on sight orders on every Mexican looking person. Short of that they will continue to come here and there ain't no stopping them. So let's deal with the reality of that, instead of indulging in the fantasy that there are ways to change the inevitable. By 2050 this will be a nation dominated by Hispanics, who will be in the majority. That is as inevitable as the tide and trying to make it illegal is about as silly as passing laws against the sun shining. It might feel good, but it ain't gonna do anything.
Besides there's not 30 million illegals, just 10-12 million and we already have absorbed them because they're already here. making them legal isn't going to change anything here. - Reply to this comment

- and most of the people who oppose mexican imigration oppose it because they are racists
Randal, this is where you're wrong. And you really need to like get out of the '70s. We oppose it because it's wrong. It's illegal, it's always been illegal. This is a country not a charity. There are laws to be upheld. We don't want 30 million illegals granted amnesty. simple. simple simple. You're stuck in some "oh I'm so cool and groovy and liberal everything is OK as long as I don't hurt a fly" world. We don't need 30 million Mexicans, we can't even take care of our own people. - Reply to this comment
- Yes, it is a compromise, but it unites people to live freely and isn't that what it is all about ?
No. You cannot live freely without first following certain rules and laws to keep your freedom.
You cannot break a law and then expect not to get punish because you think you have more rights to that persons property.
Educate yourself and follow the Laws that makes a country a country. - Reply to this comment
- Randal, seriously you must be high, now not granting amnesty to illegals is like Hitler. Is everything you disagree with like Hitler?

Oh and "seize their property" is still right out of the Nazi playbook. Just like Germans talking to Jews...or do you want to kick all of them out of "your" country too? It's my country too and I say let them become citizens as soon as possible. the only problem I have with this proposal is that 13 years is too long. It should be 5 like it is with immigrants from other nations. - Reply to this comment
- It is biggotted when you do it because of their race and most of the people who oppose mexican imigration oppose it because they are racists, even if they can't admit it to themsleves and hide behind such BS as "Oh it's just because they're illegal!" or "But they won't learn English! or other such garbage.

- Is it bigoted when we deport Canadians? Are the French bigoted when they deport Americans? Why's the race card being played here? It sounds to me like you're the one most concerned about who's white and who's not. And Randal, seriously you must be high, now not granting amnesty to illegals is like Hitler. Again, like I asked what's his name, the anti-white dude, what is racist about deporting illegal immigrants? Why do Mexicans get special treatment? - Reply to this comment
- Well, why don't you go back to your little citizenship class and tell them us self-righteous Euro-Americans are sick and tired of paying their bills? And then tell them we know history and the workings of our govt. real well and they're gonna find out just how well when we deport their azzes back to Mexico after we seize all of their property.

Nothing like letting your racist flag fly right? Got a Confederate flag or a Swastika flag hanging in your garage? I mean come on "seize all of their property" is right out of the Nazi playbook. I agree with Rudy, go get fitted for your white sheet or better yet join the Minutemen (a name their wives must have given them) as they're headed by white supremacists too. Nothing like proving ho American you are by showing what a bigot you are. Makes other Americans real proud to have you in this country. - Reply to this comment
- Oh, you are high!!! I can't believe that you wrote "if a criminal come forward". I know that all the 9/11 highjackers advised TSA before they got on the planes.

Your twisting the meaning of my words into a smart as*sed remark does not change the fact that this proposal will have no effect whatsoever on imprisoning and/or deporting people who are guilty of violations other then just come here illegally. It does not affect that at all and to say that it does is lying and scare tactics to try to frighten republicans and other small children. - Reply to this comment
