- Very nice for the candidates. Just as long as they structure it as "speaking fees," they get paid to run for president. If I could get paid to campaign for promotion, I would certainly make a living out of it, so long as I don't actually have to take the promotion. Makes you wonder who really wants the job and who's just taking the ride....
