I guarantee, before Bush leaves office, he and his cronies will set up a plan to EXTEND the presidency because it is "a time of war" and therefore his executive privelege allows for him to "temporarily" freeze constitutional operations of the government so that he can take over and form a quasi-dictatorship under his rule. What's sad is 30% of the american people will be all for it (and 95% of Republicans in congress too)

Great analogy, Spectrum108. That's true of both sides of the political aisle.

Did anyone see how smug Gonzo was at a news conference when he was laying the "blame" on McNulty for the attorney firings? He was so beside himself he was actually smirking. He must have thought he was pulling off a coup.

That comes as no surprise, though. There's an old saying that "great minds think alike."

A counter to that is "criminal minds think alike." We've seen a lot of that during the past six years.

All these dozens of things that have popped up into the justice department's lap over the last 3 years is all George Bush and *** Cheney's fault. So is the poor planning and strategy of the Iraq war that has put so many of our brave troops in jeopardy.
It doesnt matter how many of these underlings resign and 'take one for the team', the white house's current guests must take responsibility for hiring and supporting criminals, thieves, and incompetents.
How many more crimes against the american people, foreigners, purely greed inspired laws, violations of the constitution, ethics violations, cronyism, no bid contracts, election fraud, intimidation, threats, and violating a CIA agent's undercover identity does it take to impeach a Republican?
Jeez, they tried to impeach Clinton cuz he lied about having *** with Monica lewinskey, which really only affected his own marriage. If hes doing a good job, i could care less what he does in private.

If asked about this, old Alberto would just say I don't remember.

If the chimp had any brains he would fire Alberto, and put James Comey in as AG. At least that would give the justice dept. some level of honesty.

EXACTLY what I was talking about. I don't expect you to "get outraged," although most neo-cons do, and you did, too. And again resorted to vicious name-calling.

Rather than discuss my comments you just "get outraged" and call it ********* because you are incapable of conducting a real discussion with someone who does not believe your "facts."

"...sauve and debonair..." Ha Ha Ha!!!

You obviously get worked up enough to post specious troll-like comments and childish name-calling. Or is that just an act? Either way, it contradicts your statement "The division between us as citizens is mind boggling, and very sad..."

Just coming down to your level dog man.

If you are so "sauve and debonair" why are you even bothering so post here.

chicnlittle - apparently the divisions between citizens that were not addresssed by Bush over teh last 6 years are now being eroded by Bush's incompetence and failure after failure - this is proved by Bush's ever-lowering approval ratings.

I'm trying to figure out what the heck we're going to do with the dumbest of the dumb still supporting him -- and scarily they've moved on to support yet another media-created perception named Rudy. Sheesh - some people truly never do learn.

If it's not entirely the fault of this administration, whose fault is it? Does it go back to the Clinton years when the split between the two parties became very obvious? Or does it go back to Eisenhower's "Operation Ajax" that put the middle east hatred for westerners in the fore front?

Or is it simply the fact that Bush an unwarranted pre-emptive strike against the wrong country?

Disregard the facts? So only you know the facts and the rest of us have opinions based on inuendo [and] emotion? LOL!!! Very egotistical...

If you are so "sauve and debonair" why are you even bothering so post here.

It is amazing how you lefties believe your own BS. Your posts are like a shark feeding frenzy where they just consume anything and everything in the water, including themselves. Please keep it up - it's fun to read!

You idiots time and time again insist on reading things inot a story that simply aren't there. Like I said, keep it up, it's fun to read and quite telling.

Well, it took awhile for the neo-con trolls to crawl out of the sewer and make their specious comments.

badassmofo, still stuck in the Clinton years... LOL!! chicnlittle, a "newbie?" Must have crawled out of a pile of chickenshitt just to irritate the crowd.

Gonzo has been hanging onto the Bush dynasty coat tails since before Bush was governor of Texas, hoping, just hoping for the opportunity to make it big someday. Well, he finally made it big. Too bad he isn't "big enough" or prepared enough to handle that big opportunity.

Bush has no respect for the Constitution, calling it a "********* piece of paper." Chances are Gonzo, as his "longtime counselor" and friend, has the same attitude toward the Constitution.

Gonzo is just another "little man" with a very big ego.

Impeach Now: backwordsbush.com on my desktop, the countdown, makes me feel a little better. Is now at @ 614 days, 9 hours and 29 minutes.
1.20.09 Mark the Day (if not sooner-impeachNOW).

This should be a great day of celebration along the lines of the 4th of July.

tbweb, I was thinking about that myself. One scandal followed by another, and another, etc. etc. etc., and you lose track and follow up. I think it is planned that way.

chicnlittle - you cannot be serious -- Bush and his bunch of fellow thugs have set out and destroyed the credibility not only of the nation internationally but domestically as they took their thuggery, coniving and anti-constitutional actions to a whole new low.

There isn't one single area Bush hasn't failed this nation - much of it drastically which will take years if not decades to fix.

At this point, if there is ANYONE still supporting and mindless cheering Bush on they are Unamerican buffoons.

So you're happy with Bush and co? I guess we do get the government we deserve. You like the shape of the US today ? You're living in a fools paradise my friend.
Posted by yamuttya at 03:09 PM : May 16, 2007

I never said I liked the shape that OUR country is in right now. In fact, I'm quite disgusted with it. The division between us as citizens is mind boggling, and very sad, but it's not entirely the fault of this administration. We have certainly been through worst times and we'll get through this admins. mistakes also. I just can't get as worked up about it as some people on these threads who disregard the facts and make opinions on inuendo emotion.

The sky is falling? I wouldn't say that. Things are quite good in my life - or am I supposed to be more concerned about yours. Take off the left wing leash and think for yourself.

The Republicans have a knack for pushing the pinnacle of corruption to new levels time and time again. Nixon, Regan and now GW Bush.

Abraham Lincoln announced from his grave that he has left the Republican party as it seems to encourage an autocratic government more to the tune of a communistic state than democracy.

Gonzo law would fit right in with Cuba's politics.
