- Is it not the case that the difference between a smart man and a stupid man is that the stupid man will not listen to the smart man? In Geroge's case, he will not listen to anybody. What does that say of him and his supporters recognizing that you are know by the company you keep. Oh, and before you reply with the fact that he has smart men working for him and he does listen to them, you have to ask yourself one question: Who picked these smart men that advise him? Huh? Who? Right. Bush. Nothing further needs to be said.

- %u201COur strategy in Iraq today is more of the same, a slow grind to nowhere which totally ignores the reality of Iraq and the lessons of history,%u201D Batiste said. %u201COur president ignores sound military advice and surrounds himself with like-minded and compliant subordinates.%u201D
Not that Bush is like Hitler, but didn't Hitler micromanage his generals and cherry pick intelligence reports, too? - Reply to this comment

- "English's spokeswoman, Julia Wanzco, fired back.
%u201Cthese ads are more about cheap Democratic political stunts than about solving the actual problem,%u201D she said."
Cheap Democratic political stunts?
What do you call the deaths of over 3350 young men and women in a needless and cockameny war?
Is that a cheap Republican political stunt?
There is nothing political about bringing the troops home!
It's a matter of life and death! - Reply to this comment
- With all due respect to the Senators and Congresspersons, their regard for reasons to effectively prolong any settlement in Iraq is partially evident in the fact of not actually knowing why U.S. is still required to remain active via military in Iraq. The excuses that are prevalent are not in accordance with the commanders' choices and retired commanders have genuinely opened the doors to argument that it is time to change the course from military to political and philosophical. The tremendous results of staying the course are presented at the end of every day when reconciliation with the purpose and obtaining any objective is considered. The progress forward has only been a talking point - facts do not exist. Not surprisingly, losses must be considered and these facts have to weighted to any reason for justification of staying the course.

- Let's see... in matters of war, who should we listen to and believe? A spoiled little rich boy deserter and a five deferment coward... or a group of highly decorated Generals???
This is soooo confusing!! - Reply to this comment
Where is all of this new found courage coming from? Most of these people stood still and silent when our President, Vice President, Minority Leader in the House and Republican Party Operatives like Rush, Falwell, Rove, AEI etc. where out there calling, those of us who new the Iraq threat was bogus, traitors and cowards and stifled for many years the discussion that moral, capable, ethnical leaders should have embraced at the time, how many lives, how much money could this country have saved had these enablers spoken out earlier.
Telling members of al Qaeda, militias or insurgent groups the date we will begin and end troop withdrawals is irresponsible,%u201D Sununu said.
Also drop this goofy sound bite and Sununu if possible, we are not fools and it%u2019s insulting.- Reply to this comment
- I have been a Republican but am sickened by so many current Republicans. I guess their new oath of office will start with "I am confident I will be exonerated of all charges." Bush is the biggest disaster for the party ever. And lining up right behind him just because he is from the same party is a recipe for more of the same bashing we deservedly got in the last election. What have we learned? Bush and Iraq are mistakes! Show some guts fellow Republicans and let Bush know it is over! Why were we there? Oil of course! Forget about WMD, we would have gone into North Korea if that were the case. And there are a dozen other countries with even more deployable human rights issues than Iraq had. But Haliburton couln't make any money there.

- VoteVets.Org. yup another organization funded by the infamous MoveOn.Org. the power house that owns the Democratic Party and is heavily funded by none other than the felon billionaire, George Soros, who is trying to buy a Presidency. Yup, he's got little Johnnie Edwards in his back pocket, RamaLamaObama up front and poor Billary will have to fend for herself. The man's been thrown out of France, tried to hurt the British pound by shorting the currency and is banned in China. Yet, he believes in bringing down the U.S. because it is the only obstacle to the World Order he would like to see happen. Yup, he's even got another retired General, Wesley Clark in his back pocket. Maybe that's why these Generals are retired. Somebody's catching on. Yet none of you every question this -- amazing how stupid the dumnos are. Well, then, they are always denigrating our institutions.
