The Democrats voted to fund the troops. Unfortunately, this wasn't a blank check, "I'll do as I please" type check like King George wanted so he vetoed it. (AKA he defunded the troops.)

Battle Hymn of the Republicans
(to the tune of the Battle Hymn of the Republic)

Mine Eyes have seen the bungling of that stumbling moron Bush;
He has blathered all the drivel that the neo-cons can push;
He has lost sight of all reason 'cause his head is up his tush;
The Doofus marches on.

I have heard him butcher syntax like a kindergarten fool;
There is warranted suspicion that he never went to school;
Should we fault him for the policies -- or is he just their tool?
The lies keep piling on.

Glory! Glory! How he'll Screw Ya'!
Glory! Glory! How he'll Screw Ya'!
Glory! Glory! How he'll Screw Ya'!
His wreckage will live on.

Congress shouldn't bother negotiating with the psychopath in the White House.

Congress should send him the same bill they sent him last time. And continue doing so until he is forced to remove US forces from Iraq.

Giving him more money to waste in Iraq is dereliction of duty on the part of congress.

Infidel_US,

To answer your question, the troops will run out of money only if The drunk keeps vetoeing.

If he keeps vetoeing the will of the people there are 2 options:1.)Impeachment, or 2.) A Military coup. I believe both are on the table.

Wow, first post ever! Also, wondering if it will be my last. I was looking for honest, intelligent debate on the issues/articles. Posted by au96 at 03:13 PM : May 09, 2007

Honest and Intelligent? Come on! Their has been nothing honest and intelligent to come out of Washington in over 6 long years. Keep posting though, it can help ease the pain.

Yeah Dems! Just keep sending the Shrub bills that fund the troops that he refuses to sign. All thinking Americans support you! Of course, that means all Bushies will be against you, but who cares? Bushies are becoming a scarce group of people who have already lost all credibility. By the way, you can recognize a Bushie by the way they respond to any attack upon the Shrub or his policies: they immediately counter: yeah, well Clinton did it too! Like this argument is supposed to convince the hearer of the correctness of Bush's policy. The Bushies (like Rove) fail to see the incredible irony in this argument: i.e. that the Bushie's argument assumes that if Clinton did something that in must be correct. In other words, that Clinton's behavior is the gold standard by which to judge. They just don't get it. I cannot wait until these government Bushies are all behind bars where they belong.
