Comments on: Bush's GOP War Support Fading?
House Minority Leader Says Policy Should Show Improvement By Fall, Or Else
- Concerning the Repulsirats leaving the sinking ship of Curious George:
You got your smart rats, you got your dumb rats, and you got your dead rats.
The question is if the rats can get far enough from the sinking ship to avoid being sucked under when the Bushit/Chickenshit administration goes down. - Reply to this comment
- Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., predicted, "the taste for continuing with the present course among Republicans in the Senate and the House is going to fade very quickly, and we will get the change in mission."
Of course it will fade. Bush doesn't have to face the voters in '08 who want this debacle ended but the Congressmen will.
"Yet Boehner's comments were an acknowledgment of the concern expressed by some lawmakers in private that their support could further damage the party, which lost control of Congress in the November elections."
The Repubs know that continuing to support Bush in this boondoggle may well cost them their jobs unless he manages to pull of some kind of a "hat-trick" in Iraq very soon, which is not very likely to happen. When he doesn't, they'll jump ship.
As the old saying goes, "Success has a thousand fathers, while failure is an orphan". - Reply to this comment

- Same old slant, same old people.
For once, I would have a heart attack if any of you actually had something intelligent to write instead of this cliche hate Bush routine.
Your acting like the entire military is filled with stupid people following Bushes detailed Iraq plans. Thats not true. Bush is letting his commanders in the field do what they need to do, and follows the advice of many, Hi Ranking, Generals. Bush is "NOT" and NEVER" represented himself as a supreme military genious that you demand of him, but he is your President, like it or not.
Fact is, I see far more in Bush than Clinton ever gave America. Clinton left Bush all the dirty laundry, and 9 months after he left, the same enemy that attacked our embassies and the USS Cole attacked and killed Americans on American Soil.
What Clinton refused to do for America, and American Soldiers, Bush did in both Afghanistan, and Iraq. I just hope Iran is stupid enough to create a casus belle, a defacto state of war, with the USA, so Congress has no choice bu to acknowledge the threat that they represent. - Reply to this comment
- I CANT BELEIVE THAT A LOT OF GOP STILL SAY WE SHOULD GIVE BUSH MORE TIME, STATEING ITS OUR RESONSABLITY AND OBLIGATION TO DO SO....DONT THEY KNOW THE ONLY OBLIGTION THEY HAVE IS TO THE AMERICANS THAT PUT THEM IN OFFICE...
AS I STATED BEFORE MANY MANY TIMES ON HERE, IT IS TIME TO REPLACE ALL OF THEM IN WASHINGTON...ALL OLD BLOOD OUT...AND ALL NEW BLOOD IN...THIS IS THE ONLY WAY WE CAN SAVE AMERICA.... - Reply to this comment
- It's official. Loyal Americans, whether Republican or Democrat, disapprove of the job GWB is doing. What can you expect in the fight on terror when you have a coward who fought true military service during Vietnam? GWB flew military sorties safely here amongst commercial aviation. Not much bravery there. But lots of bravery with other Americans' lives!
Why would he veto the Military Funding Bill? He truly hates Americans in service and only uses them for his pawns! - Reply to this comment

- Bush signed away a bill, that would give funding. Republicans have lost the War, and the funding, and Democrats are on the move.

- Copy that missmyhubby! That's because bush has a one track mind... Having a Plan B would signify weakness and lack of resolve in Plan A...

- "By the time we get to September or October, members are going to want to know how well this is working, and if it isn't, what's Plan B." --House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio
There has never been a Plan B...

- If Bush thinks his plan will work, then why does he not sign the bill? After all, by the time of the withdrawl date, his plan should have worked anyway.
