RandalDS, condumism, and a few other posters here, are right about Ronald Reagan. He was an actor who was very good at playing roles written for him.
A successful actor must, in effect, become the role character.

Reagan most likely did just that throughout his presidency, but he is still responsible for the extensive harm his administration brought on this country.

There were several aborted attempts to pass campaign finance reform during the Reagan years. No serious attempts are even made today.

Corporate takeover of the government accelerated during Reagan%u2019s presidency and has almost been completed during the present administration.

He started the destruction of worker unions. He was the instigator of the new-- %u201CCut taxes while over-spending%u201D-- policy of the Republican Party, that has raised the national debt to a record near $9 TRILLION, and rising.
The interest (paid annually) on Reagan%u2019s and Bush%u2019s national debt currently stands at $500,000,000,000.00 (1/2 trillion).

I have never seen a report showing the actual total interest (read taxes) accrued and paid on the debt.
I guess that would be like parading, in public view, the caskets of Returning casualties of the Iraq fiasco.

I would also like to hear from any administration supporter exactly when they are planning on paying off the national debt. But, I won%u2019t hold my breath.

Bush is not an actor, but, evidently very easy to manipulate.

GunOwnerDan -- It's just going to get worst I'm afraid, look at the kids entering college now, few will enlist & most think the Federalist Society wrote the Federalist Papers & Abe Linclon surrounded himself with party loyalists....

We should go back to defending our Constitution,, So far that's only the democratic party.

Easiest & most accurate way to judge them,,, Which ones rode Bush's scrotum pole for 6 years ,, & grinned while doing it and repeated GOP's talking points... Then eliminate the ones who now distance themselves from Bush.... That would leave just Ron Paul left.

I wonder why Rep Foley isn't running? He is a good representative sample of Republicans. He just likes to molest young adolescents, similar to all Catholic Republicans.

How about hastert I think he lost his voice as I haven't heard anything of him. Could it be he is in hiding thinking people will forget he tried covering up the pedophile foley?
Wouldn't he make a good representative of the GOP?

Wrtie this down.................. Mit Romney will win all 50 states in 2008 to become our 42nd President.

He will be great and someone that all Independents and a lot of the Dems could vote for.

The only ones who won't be happy are the far left-wingers controlling the Dems party today, MoveOn., Mob-run unions, and trial lawyers.

If Americans liked Ronald Reagan they are going to LOVE Mit Romney

"For my Panacea, instead of one of those quack vials of a mixture dipped from Acheron and the Dead Sea, which come out of those long shallow black-schooner looking wagons which we sometimes see made to carry bottles, let me have a draught of undiluted morning air."

Bellal,, Good morning -- McCain ??? He doesn't stand a chance, think about it.. He's never had the gumption to put Bush in his place for slamming his military record..
, He as the rest for 6 years rode on Bush's Scrotum Pole & smiled while doing it. Most of these people couldn't hold a match to Reagan on their best day... Ron Paul would be my choice.
