Toastmasters. They say that being an air force test pilot is a scarey job. But I say not as scarey as public speaking. One, run, a dog running. Two, zoo, a rhinosaurus with a goatee. Three, tree, a buncha oranges. Four, door, a doorway to the presidency. Five, drive, a highway to the beach.

The American people are getting sick of these strutting chickenhawks, like Ververs and Clinon, who try so hard to project their war-mongering bone fides, while they themselves have assiduously avoided ever having to put on a uniform themselves.

And Ververs conspicuous contempt for Obama has a not to subtle racist tone that is quite unseemly.

This article should be considered an opinion piece with a clear political agenda behind it. The local station in Charleston, S.C. conducted a poll afterwards and it showed that Obama was the clear winner over Clinton by a 31% to 24% margin. I think it is becoming clear who CBS News is backing.

Here is my take:

CLINTON
Pros:
- Is a woman and, this being the 21st century, America is ready for their first woman president.
- Will get the female and black vote.
- Has experience dealing with both domestic and international politics.
Cons:
- None compared to other Dem contenders

OBAMA:
Pros:
- Is Black
- Speaks well in broad terms. Majority of the masses like that.
- Will get 100% of the black vote
Cons:
- Is black. America is not ready for Black President.
- No specifics behind his broadspeak.
- No international experience

EDWARDS:
Pros:
- Face and hair look good
- Will lock up some of the southern and female vote
- Good for PR role as a Veep.
Cons:
- Is wealthy but cant seem to hide his wealth like smarter rich people can. Has to constantly hammer on people how he was poor.
- Experience is limited

BIDEN:
Pro:
- Is an experienced politician. Will handle the House and Senate well as a Veep.
Con:
- Is an experienced politician. Talks all over the place just like an experienced politican.

KUCINICH:
Pro:
- A true liberal who could reverse the harm done by Bush
Con:
- A true liberal who isn't taken seriously.

RICHARDSON:
- Non-contender on the national front.

Bottomline:
For the Dems to win, they need to mount Clinton as their presidential candidate. A Clinton-Biden or a Clinton-Edwards ticket will have a good chance. Ideally, I'd like to see a Clinton-Kucinich combo but that ain't gonna happen.

marcodele-some of these posters aren't neocons, though, they are atacking hillary like she was bush himself. That is a bad sign. I think the Obama camp may be as slimy as Bush's. I remember Georgie pulling this *** when he went for the republican nomination. These posters are sounding a lot like republican trolls trying to push honest opinions off the board. Hillary is clearly the front runner right now if we can get the mysoginists to move into the 21st century.

No answer would satisfy the neocons except perhaps "We're gonna shock and awe them" or "we're gonna smoke 'em out of a foxhole."

edjohn66-are you retarded? Bill Clinton's track record shows numerous tax cuts for the middle class that he generated time and time again and Hillary is on the same page. Although I consider myself a democrat, liars like you that are tryign to swift boat fellow dems have convinced me that I'd vote republican before I'd see Obama in office. I am beginning to think he is a black George Bush Junior with an army of zombie followers.

Anyone one who thinks Hillary's answer to a hypothetical attack - " we should quickly respond" - is anything but as Bush-like non-answer, needs to start bunking with Knoller.

I remember some of your posts from days gone by and you usually have some insightful, intelligent things to say but this one is as much a non-post as your claim of Hillary's non-response. Either of the candidates would be better than any republican offerings, but it seems mainly the Obama camp (in which you apparently reside) has decided that mudslinging and attacking fellow dems is a smart idea. It's reminiscent of bush's attacks on McCain actually and says something about Obama and you.

Clinton sure is ready to lead....

... to tax cuts for the rich, to voting for the war, to voting for the Patriot Act twice.

We've had THAT kind of leadership for 6 years now. Aren't we ready for a new direction?

Go Barak! Obama in 2008!!!

Vaughn "global warming is a hoax" Ververs goes into "superspin" mode to bolster the image the war-mongering corporate candidate, Hillary Clinton, while disparaging the populist anti-war candidate, Barack Obama. Perhaps Vaughs should pack his baqs and move over to Fox News with such a blatant distortion of reality. His characterizations of Obama as weak and unsteady in contrast to a strong Hillary is Broder Bloviafleuvia, a deliberate distortion bordering on silliness.

Anyone one who thinks Hillary's answer to a hypothetical attack - " we should quickly respond" - is anything but as Bush-like non-answer, needs to start bunking with Knoller.

THE GOP is once again running on empty (or fascism which spews lies for votes.) Take the terrorist Gullianni, running on peoples fears while offering nothing of substance in anyway. Or how about Mormon Christian Cult member Romney, the goon from Utah that believes in a religion of the fundentally ill? RIP GOPigs, because all that ails the USA can easily be stuck on your failed political agenda, which began with Geral Ford and has gotten worse with each passing year,
