Last Soldier To See Tillman Alive: "I Was Ordered Not To Tell" His Brother
- Why, all of a sudden, is Jessica Lynch interested in "the truth" being told? Have the money tree and the 15 minutes of fame disappeared for her?

- Tillman and Lynch were used to create attractive heros through which the Administration could manipulate public support for the war. One a high paid athelete, the other a pretty young girl. As heros they could be used to show individual sacrifice, and demonstrate how even a small woman could make a real difference

Then if or when these same heroes say or do anything that is in opposition to their policies/interests they, or their attack dogs, i.e. Jebby_One, pwrslm, etc, unhesitatingly %u201Cswift boat%u201D them just like they did and still do to John Kerry and Cindy Sheehan.
This is the Christian/family values party who support our troops?
If these are the type of people who will populate heaven I suspect many honest, old fashioned, republicans are busy canceling their reservations. - Reply to this comment

Dude, this isn't about North and South, it's about an ego-maniac who's latest tantrum had cost over 3,300 American lives!
The Civil War ended 142 years ago, get over it! - Reply to this comment
- Comment: "The inclination is for soldiers to protect the honor of their fallen comrades and withold the sensitive details."
Again, by "sensitive details" you would mean the truth.
The only ones who should be ashamed are those who made the decision to lie about the circumstances of Tillman's death. I can't believe there isn't more anger from the war supporters that a dead US soldier was turned into a propaganda tool.
It was a lie. The US military shouldn't haven't to resort to such chicanery. It only makes the US look worse when the truth surfaces. - Reply to this comment
- The movie Wag the Dog has often been used in comparison to Clinton. Now we see how the Bush Administration took a scene directly from that movie to sell us the war.

As heros they could be used to show individual sacrifice, and demonstrate how even a small woman could make a real difference.
The least the rest of us could do is put a ribbon on our car. Oh, and we should shut up and let the administration handle things without any question.
Everything this administration does has at its core an attempt to manipulate the public. - Reply to this comment
- the south loves war...
only thing, they lose every war they ever start.
jefferson davis lost his,
johnson lost his,
bush will lose his.
the south has lost every war they ever started.

- I feel very bad for all the families who lost someone in these wars and also for those who are damaged from wounds. God bless all of them.
As for the White House I can only hop that time will expose most of the corrupt thinking and some form of punishment is meeted out. - Reply to this comment
- What is honor through lies and deceit? It's not honor, it's fantasy.

- When will Tillman's Silver Star be returned?
If the Silver Star was awarded under inaccurate facts than it is only appropriate that it be returned. Under the rules, Tillman did not appear to fulfill the requirements for the award.
The truth can be painful at times. As some here claim, absolute honesty is more important than sensitivity to the honor of an individual soldier. - Reply to this comment
- I get as far as the term "friendly fire" & I want to puke.
"Friendly fire"?! How can blasting away at someone be considered even remotely friendly? Friends don't shoot friends.
Besides, what happened to "don't shoot until you see the whites of their eyes" & all that? Or even still: What happened to "do unto others..."?
"Friendly fire"?! What a freaking joke. To even use the term at all is an insult. Why not just call it what it is: Soldier got shot by his own team.
Maybe the reason I have so many friends is because I don't shoot them. Maybe that is why the US has so many enemies- we shoot everybody. Even our own. I would't trust us either! - Reply to this comment
- "Too funny. The war supporters were falling all over Lynch when they first heard her story. But, now that the truth comes out, she's "disgruntled." It's amusing that you only supported her when you were being lied to. Now that the truth comes out you slam on her."

Who was falling all over? I believe it was the the media that was falling all over both Lynch and Tillman, now the same media are using them to help their neo-commie agendas :)
The only words from the administration was to honor their service. From here it looks like neo-commies are portraying them as suckers for even joining the Army. - Reply to this comment

You were played for fools - all of you. You shouldn't take it out on the soldiers, however. Blame the leadership at the Pentagon and the White House. But that would be like admitting you were wrong, and that's just too much to take.
I can't imagine what it must be like to live with that kind of hypocrisy. - Reply to this comment

- history shows what happens when southerners get the power in america.
the south has a dark and sordid history.
bush and his southern christian base are determined to bring america down.
war, hate, insurrection, rebellion, arrogance, division, intolerance, hypocrisy, lying and deceiving.
bush is just the latest chapter to come out of that most militaristic and extremist region of america.
the south never does good for america.
always war, hate, phony christian creeps and crooked republican snakes.

- " ... That Jessica Lynch has been and is a class act throughout this whole ordeal. I admire her. She has more class and guts than most of the generals who used her as a posterchild. "
Amazing .... what I saw here makes her now look like CBS's posterchild :) Is she even writing her own script? Don't the media stooges provide specialist who help disgruntled soldiers write their questions and critisisms?
BTW, I've known about a dozen generals over the years and they were all class acts :) - Reply to this comment
