I'm sorry but, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!!
We are in a war and PEOPLE DIE. I don't like it but that is the truth. Where is congress probing all the friendly fire deaths in WWI,WWII, Korea, Vietnam???? What makes Mr. Tillman different than every other soldier, nothing. Posted by pghlady3 at 09:36 AM : Apr 24, 2007

What makes this case different is that in each instance the Pentagon lied and used these people as propaganda to sell the war, caring little for their families, extending one's stay in harms way or the truth. The fact is, this is no different than all the lies the Bush team put out via the Rendon group or the fake stories they wrote and pinned on Iraqis. Since this is the modus operandi.

From the body counts to the so called Bagdhad bloggers we know we can believe NOTHING Bush or the defense dept. says--including how the surge is really going, how many civilians are really dying, how many we killed or even what our soldiers are doing. The soldiers are not being told the truth, the American people are not being told the truth and all are sacrificing for a war that started based on lies, is run based on lies and is perpetuated based on lies--the actions of the defence dept and Bush over Tillman and Lynch illustrates the type of manipulation this war was built on and is yet another reason to pull the plug. The fact is, when dealing with liars--you will never know what the heck you are fighting for--it is all hype, all lies and all questionable.

kevin claimed Pat's death was "fratricide"?

Did Kevin murder his own brother, or was there another brother nearby ... or did Kevin misspeak?

fratricide by definition is the murder of one's brother.

All soldiers, all men and women who serve or who have served honorably in the military, esp in combat, are brothers. Every person I served with was and still is my brother. The term fratricide is used in military to describe one soldier that kills his brother soldier.

*** CBS !!!!! What's with the FASCISM ?! You allow a post/blog about the PAT TILLMAN story ( which I personally am sick of hearing about ), but won't allow a post about a 15 year old that is being held @ Guantanamo Bay ?!

This administration has done more damage to our nation, economy, foreign policy and military strength than Osama bin Laden could ever accomplish.

I am truly stunned...incredulous even...regarding the continuing blind ignorance of the war cheerleaders and administration apologists. Even given the overwhelming evidence provided by Tillman's brother and Lynch herself they continue to spew venom at the messengers. While I have given up teaching them the truth, maybe this will reach through the TV set to Joe Q. Public. At the very time that Bush, Cheney and Rove continue with their plan of painting the Democrats as unsupportive of the troops - this sorry episode screams the opposite. The Bush administration has cynically used and then betrayed the troops at every turn. They sell the heroism of Pat Tillman's decision to turn his back on NFL millions, then deliberately lie and cover-up the truth of his death. They use Jessica Lynch as nothing more than a propaganda commercial. Yet if either of these had needed disability coverage? Call them partially disabled (say 10% coverage) and then get 'em outta here...their usefulness to this deceitful and cyncical administration ends as soon as they give their life or their health (be it mental or physical). At that point the injured vet becomes expendable unless to serve yet another Bush photo op. Mission Accomplished? Absolutely. Use the troops, have them die in vain, and then discard them when no longer convenient. Quite a sight my fellow patriots.

A co-worker who retired from the military, said the coverup by his friends (Tillmans) was because of 'insurance' . If you die in combat there is a bigger payoff than if you are killed by accident, (friendy fire). Alright, lets hear it, is this so? I just want the truth!!!! Speak up VETS

Like I said Previously, Bush is not supporting the troops. He is short changing Ranger Training to fill the company slots and expects these soldiers to fight like Rangers with little or no training. How many of these troops in the Tillman Incident were Pre-Rangers and how many were fully schooled rangers and what impact did it have on the incident?

Tillman was not patriotic scoundrel. He was a wind surfing beach boy with a long flowing mane. Perhaps we would have sailed ashore one day. Tillman is a true free spirit, one that will sail in the wind for eternity. Let this square jawed, herculean adonis stand at a mountaintop as a statusque reminder of rugged kindsness and unflapping heroism. We salute you patrick tillman, we salute you!!!! Stand up and no longer be discounted for what ye gave and never received. He be a dealer, of everything but illegal weeed. Hail, hail, his nice times, for rock and roll is here to stay..........rock and rooll iss heere to stay, rock and roll is here to sway.....

if you follow the CNN story ...

http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/05/27/pat.tillman/index.html

it sounds like Tillman was fired upon by his own brother. Maybe someone should ask CNN for better detail

I'm right there with you friend! Obviously seven-pesos has never been to the South, or talked to anyone in the South. If he were paying attention, he would know that Cheney is from Montana and Bush has more support from Big Business and the folks with money than from anywhere else. Doesn't sound like the people I know in the South!
What a dolt!

As an Army retiree, I am absolutely appauled at what I'm hearing regarding the intentional deception and hyped fabrications surrounding this heroic Ranger's unquestionably tragic and accidental death. Corporal Pat Tillman is a casualty of war, irregardless of whatever propaganda may have tainted the circumstances of his death. Someone once said: "Truth is the first casualty of war." This is a very sad day, indeed, for the prestige of the already beleagered US Army. DISGUSTED!
Support our Troops!
