There is no need for bad intelligence in the case of Iran! Iran is smacking the world in the face with its nuclear intentions, even holding Press Conferences and almost bragging about about how U.N. Sanctions will not effect Irans efforts to go forward. There are no links between Iran and Saddam in this context! Who needs intelligence, who needs to listen to anybody, just listen to Iran itself! - Reply to this comment
- I really liked McCain in 2000, so I have been wondering what the hell happened to him in the last few years. After the Iran song, I now know that he really has lost his mind. I think Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell broke him in 2000. Lay it down, John. You don't have a snowball's chance of winning the election. We loved you once, so PLEASE, keep what is left of your dignity and go home.

- And it's true; under Bush, we are the biggest, baddest, most terrifying rogue state in the world. And very sadly, that actually seems to make a certain type of person very happy.
They would call themselves "patriots" or "real Americans", I am sure. I call them unevolved, barbarous, sickening thugs.

True. Once upon a time we actually had the right to call ourselves the leaders of the free world, because we led by our example. However the Bush Doctrine is to "lead" through war, threats, invasion and mass murder. Under this regime we have become what we used to defend ourselves and other nations. WE have become the enemy. WE have become the bad guys. Out of every sick twisted thing Bush has done to our country, that is the most unforgivable on. He took us from a nation that many admired and turned us into what the old Soviet Union was, a nation to be feared and hated. Thanks George. - Reply to this comment
- Honestly, it sounds like we should have been talking to these guys long ago but never did.
probably a Huge mistake, but now it seems to be the end of talking.
Iran is in my opinion trying to start war with us.
they tell us they are ready and cocky as hell.
Russia was helping them, and they are a shady country too.
Reporters are taken out over there for trying to print things that Putin does not want in the papers.
i have heard a lot about him,he seems to be shady as well. - Reply to this comment
- WE WOULD NOT TALK TO IRAN BECAUSE THEY WOULD NOT HALT THE NUKE PLANTS.
IF THEY WOULD ,WE PROBABLY COULD HAVE TALKED THIS OUT,BUT THEY WON'T STOP THEIR PLANTS.

kaili3 makes a good point here.
Who in heck would give two *** about Iran if it wasn't being forced down our throats by the politicians? And who has used the media, intelligence, and lies to get us into Iraq (not Afganistan, Iraq) before? Politicians.
So if they lied to make one war, isn't it worth checking to see if they are lying to get us into Iran as well?
Fear is a great motivator. 9/11 sent us to Afganistan. Before that, no one gave the Middle East or Iran or nukes a thought. Shouldn't they have been a threat then? It was only a few years ago. Or are they only a threat now. Then why?
It is a new arms race, Iran and North Korea both began squalling about having nukes AFTER we began to make war in Afganistan. Maybe it is fear of us already. So we go bomb folks who are scared of us already? Especially when diplomacy would do the same job for zero the cost of lives.
Iran has tried for diplomacy, guess who didn't want to talk. US.
We are racing toward something extremely ugly without thinking it out or finding less extreme resolutions. We are building up to a dangerous situation, unabated by the azzes in our own government, and unassisted by the UN or anyone outside us who could speak rationally. - Reply to this comment
- Old man McCain't has lost his marbles. LOL
There is no fool like an old fool, and McCain't is proving to the world AGAIN that our lost and lunatic leaders are a bunch of witless warmongers.
Anyone else thinks that McCain't brains may have oozed out when the Vietnamese hung him up? LOL - Reply to this comment
- "By the way, mudrose ... is your name a play on Bush's "pet name" for Karl Rove, which is (I kid you not) "Turdblossom"?" Posted by jimibear at 04:41 PM : Apr 20, 2007
Good one, jimibear!!
From Wikipedia:
"*** Blossom, according to partisans of Karl Rove and George W. Bush, is a Texan term for a flower which grows from a pile of cow dung. The term has gained notoriety in the United States, as reportedly this is one of President George W. Bush's terms of endearment for his chief political advisor, Karl Rove."
Bush is also reported to call Rove by the nickname %u201DBoy Genius.%u201C

- I would prefer U.S. ICBMs, replacing nuclear warheads with conventional warheads. The only problem with using ICBMs is that the U.S. would need to convince the world; mainly Russia and China that these Iran bound ICBMs are only headed towards Iran and not anywhere else." Posted by tbweb FakeID
