Ok, this is the last straw! Unconscionable behavior, is there anything they won't stoop to? What could possibly be next- a Justice Dept. official pleading the Fifth? Holding people without charges? Warrantless wiretaps? Replacing US attorneys to fix elections?

If e-mails were deleted, go to backup, if backup is deleted, go to tape, if tape is missing, have the police reverse scan the disks, if all of that can't be done, there is a strong case for obstruction.

[Those e-mails are there, they just don't want to produce them. We'll subpoena them if necessary]

just ask for the backup tapes in the rotation from that time period ... unless of course ... the dog ate those too!

"How can you continue to support or have faith in an administration who's now proven that they cannot even handle email?"

It's not about the administration. His mind has been so polluted by the right wing about the "evils" of liberalism that people like infidel will accept anything, so matter how corrupt, as long as the word "liberal" isn't attached. Karl Rove has done his job well.

I just read the article from this web site. I must say I am not a bit surprised by it. I am a Christian and am not ashamed to admit so, however, these extremists are no more moral than the jihaddists who invoke the name of God to justify murder.

I think a good question to ask Bush and Posse would be is if God appointed him to be President of the United States, why is he acting more like Pilate than Jesus?

If our military and the Iraqi government can put Saddam Hueissan on trial for war crimes and crimes against humanity, why can't we do the same to George Bush?

Leahy scoffed.

"I've got a teenage kid in my neighborhood that can go get 'em for them," he told reporters.

Retorted Perino: "I don't know if Sen. Leahy is also an IT expert."

Well, I am an IT expert and I can tell you that unless they completely dump their hard-drives and use a military grade scrubber to clean the drives, the e-mails are still there.

I also think that it's time to get these nut cases out of office before they do any more damage to this country. Impeach Bush first so he can't pardon any of these other fools, send them to Abu Grab, and throw away the key!!!

OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE:

Yet another sacked U.S. attorney, John McKay of Seattle, declared that a top aide to Rep. Doc Hastings, the former Republican chairman of the House Ethics Committee, had called him to ask detailed questions about a politically charged investigation McKay was conducting into the disputed 2004 election of Washington state's Democratic Gov. Christine Gregoire. McKay and his staff found no evidence of any wrongdoing in their investigations but were pressured to seek indictments against Democrats. Hastings and his aide have denied the allegation.

After the Fowley story, the Gannon story, and more to come about a Gonzales cover-up, I'm not sure I'll let a twelve year old nephew touch one of the computers over there ...

OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE, connecting the dots:

The day after Carol Lam, U.S. attourney in San Diego, notified the Justice Department that her office would issue search warrants in an investigation involving Republican Rep. Jerry Lewis, (CA) a co-conspirator in the Duke Cunningham bribery scandal, Gonzales aid Kyle Sampson sent an email to the White House mentioning a "real problem" with Carol Lam and that she should be replaced sooner than later. She was soon fired.

In testimony before Congress, Samson said that "the problem" was with her lack of success on imigration cases. However, she was ranked as the third most successful prosecutor of immigration cases in the entire country. Her coviction rate on these cases was 100%. She also received a commendation from the director of U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency for her performance on immigration cases.

Asked if Lam was notified of "the problem" before being abruptly fired, Samson said "uh......no".

Dan Dzwilewski, FBI special agent-in-charge in San Diego, said of Lam's dismissal, "I guarantee politics was involved." Dzwilewski was subsequently oredered to stop talking to the media.

"yes it has ... i believe it started w/ the incessant hatred for everything clinton ... w/ a tireless campaign to destroy the man, his career, and his family ... a campaign that really hasn't ended ... and continues to this very day.

I agree, and the irony of it :
http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-gingrich9mar09,1,2448187.story?coll=la-headlines-nation&ctrack=1&cset=true

And some dare to compare the Clinton mistakes
with much worse, like starting a war under false pretences, killing 3000 people here, 100000+ people there ...

OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE:

One of the fired prosecutors, David Iglesias of New Mexico, testified that he felt "leaned on" by Sen. Pete Domenici over a case he was pursuing. Iglesias said the New Mexico Republican and former mentor hung up on him after learning Iglesias would not seek indictments in a criminal investigation of Democrats before the 2006 election. "He said, 'Are these going to be filed before November?'" Iglesias recalled. "I said I didn't think so... to which he replied, 'I'm very sorry to hear that.' And then the line went dead. "I had a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach," Iglesias testified. "Six weeks later I got the call that I had to move on." The ousted prosecutor also said that Heather Wilson, a Republican House member from New Mexico, had called him about the same issue.

bobnjersey,

You are absolutely correct! That's why I don't get upset over the conspiracy theories constantly espoused around here. All of Clinton's escapades turned out to be nothing.

That's just what all this will amount to. It's definately not ruining my day/life.
