Monica Goodling Wouldn't Testify Before A House Panel About Firings Of 8 U.S. Attorneys
- dlpracer: Actually I condemned that too but cannot find where our Administration at that time or our troops CREATED that problem. I was too ill from some of my military service at the time to do much about it. Can you enlighten me?
What service did you serve in?
I believe there were some very brave people that tried to stop it WERE YOU ONE OF THEM? - Reply to this comment
- that you can't "Give" or LIBERAL System, you know the one created by all those UGLY Liberal's over 200 years ago? You can't "Give" that to anyone. They must be willing to fight for it. Sieg Heil Y'all. ROFLMAO

ADD TO THAT, THAT THE PEOPLE MUST WANT THAT WAY OF LIFE--NOT BEING FORCED TO HAVE IT BY INVADERS FROM ACROSS THE WORLD. Imagine another country FORCING the colonists to war with Britian instead of us wanting it for ourselves. And this is why Republicans roots are with the Tories and why they remained on the side of King George--they never had an understanding about Democracy or individualism or freedom, not over 200 years ago and their descendants still don't have a clue now. Genetically, they will always trend toward rule by a monarchy or a 'messianic' figure--they believe in not just authority--but the divine right of that authority. This democratic thing has always frustrated and bewildered the Republican party. Once a Tory--always a Tory. - Reply to this comment
- "Little George, and those like him, have never held a job, never had to work for a living, and that combined with an 89 I.Q., is a recipe for disaster.

- The LIBS should be FUNDING OUR FIGHTING MEN AND WOMEN in harm's way instead of wasting the time of the Congress.

the libs HAVE funded the troops--only bush stands in the way of that funding--just think one stubborn man could stop the money from going to support the troops..... LOL. - Reply to this comment
- Consider that, under Saddam Hussein, Iraq has started two major wars, used poison gas and committed gross violations of international humanitarian law. Posted by dlpracer at 10:03 AM : Apr 07, 2007
We'd LIKE to consider that, but it is waaaay too embarrassing. After all, by 2004 America has started 2 major wars (Afghanistan and Iraq), used WP directly against humans in Fallujah and committed gross violations of international law including torture, ignoring the Geneva conventions, rendition, and invading a sovereign nation without physical provocation. And on that note--Bush had his Republican controlled Congress grant him domestic immunity for war crimes in 2006. Ever wonder why he thought he need that? - Reply to this comment
- The Bush lied and they died cannard is without basis because anything he said or did can be linked to the previous administration's knowledge base. It is MORE ACCURATE TO SAY that the WHOLE GOVERNMENT FAILED, AND THEY DIED.
Posted by dlpracer at 10:44 AM : Apr 07, 2007
Nope, not accurate to say that. Because the CIA, Pentagon and the FBI have admitted that the Bush Admin cherry pciked what they shared with the rest of government--and no matter what previous Presidents thought--it is Bush who sent men and women there and it is Bush determined to keep them there. Previous Presidents (including George's own father) did not support staying and never invaded Iraq--that was all Dubya--and what we are doing now is all Dubya --and the republicans (save Hagel). So ...Bush keeps lying and people keep dying. - Reply to this comment

ARROGANT GREEDY LIES LED TO THIS AND FOR WHAT? WHAT HAS THIS NATION GAINED? WHAT IS THE GOAL?
FEAR IS AN EVIL THING. USING FEAR TO CREATE EVIL IS UNSPEAKABLE.

I'm sure that you felt the same way as Clinton and his UN cronies stood by and watch as between 500,000 and 1,000,000 Tutsis and Hutu moderates were systematically slaughtered...right?
Your Moral equivalence is astounding.
Happy Easter to YOU!!

- Granting Goodling immunity means that, even if she lied to Congress she could not be prosecuted. To do the things these people continue to do for Bush (to the detriment of the Constitution or law) show where their loyalties lie--granting immunity is a bad idea, best to make her take the stand, ask positively outrageous questions like " Are you aware of any criminal intent being associated with the White House and the US Attorney firings? " and have her answer with "I cannot answer that questions on the grounds it may incriminate me" Hilarious and what is the American public left to think?

- Oh silly me, that's right, you would condone sending US military equipment to kill 20-30 innocent children.
And here I thought you wanted civil rights for all....yeah right!!

I"d like to ask if you're so concerned about military equipment killing 20 to 30 American children why are you so eager to allow that same kind of murder to 20 to 30 thousand and more of INNOCENT IRAQI CHILDREN???
I cry for the memory a soldier wrote about seeing a small broken probably 3 year old dressed in a pretty dress lying in a ditch, killed when her family tried to flee Baghdad. I mourn the bright young teenage girl that was a pen pal of a friend whose sister wrote to not write again after George's "Mission Accomplished". She was visiting friends when our troops kicked in the door. Afraid, she hid in the bathroom where they shot through the door and killed her.
I cry for the sweet young kid that had a crush on my daughter and never had a chance - was deployed - killed by "friendly fire".
There are thousands of those stories, Thousands of scarred soldiers, civilians and "collateral damage" people. To support the murder of one innocent child and not condemn them all is hypocrisy to the extreme and a sin. May God forgive you and show you the truth.

- Homespun, you are correct. I normally like to stick with the subject.
I think it is obvious that, given her actions and the reasons she has provided for them, that she is scared of something and she is using the most politically expedient way to do so.
Her actions are suspicious enough and since she really isn't who would be a target in an investigation, she should be granted limited immunity. If that is done her testimony can be compelled. The committees should do that to eliminate suspicions. - Reply to this comment
