cbville72,

Re: "The Iraq govt. is beginning to take shape and the Iraqi people are volunteering more and more into their military and their police force. That is a simple fact. It is simply a matter of training them and giving their newly elected govt. time."

Sure thing- 'they'll stand up, when we sit down...'

The people of Iraq have every right to defend themselves against the brutal and illegal invasion of their country, and they have done so very effectively.

Regardless of the 'purple thumbs', the U.S. installed, Iraqi puppet-officials, know that their time is about up.

The U.S. was defeated in Iraq a long time ago.

Choose the size of your humiliation?...you have selected- SUPERSIZE!

The Iraq govt. is beginning to take shape and the Iraqi people are volunteering more and more into their military and their police force. That is a simple fact. It is simply a matter of training them and giving their newly elected govt. time. The war in Iraq was militarily and strategically an overwhelming success. That too is a simple fact. Iraq will be better off once we finish the job of training their recruits. The deadline should be about when the job is complete and not a date on the calendar. That too is a fact.

jefferson davis lost his war

bush will lose his war.

the south is the most militaristic and right wing of all american regions.

the south loves war...they just never learned how to win any wars.

rednecks, phony christian creeps, war makers, hate, division, crooked republican snakes, bible thumpers, flag wavers, white trash creeps...

yeah, they still love bush in the south.

i hate the south.

ha,ha,ha.

nothing good comes out of the south!

You Know if you keep turning the corner over and over in the same direction without changing anything else you wind up right back at the beginning - just going in circles.
How many times have we been told we're turning the corner with nothing changed?
Quit circling the building George. Either ask for directions or try a different turn! You're wasting the real fuel of America -it's people.

The reason she should not be there is that she is trying to undermine his foreign policy. He is the President and as such , sets foreign policy. She does not have the votes to override his veto and that is a simple fact. Since that is the case, she IS wasting time and taxpayers dollars in her private jet going there and accomplishing nothing. Were the republicans you are speaking of overtly denouncing his foreign policy with Syria. I don't belive they were. That is the reason you idiot.

BTW....Waynabq Why don't you move from this country that is so horrible if that is how you feel? France would be a good place. I'm sure that you feel they are more "enlightened".

Will someone in congress please IMPEACH Cheney and Bush for LYING us into this needless, horrific War on Iraq. The Invasion was for NeoCon profit, control of Iraqi Oil, and regional dominance (DUH!). They couldn't wait to invade Iraq, which is why they pulled 90% of the troops out of (where's Osama) Afghanistan.

Spineless Democrats! Hold a hearing (and use your subpena powers) on how we got into Iraq. Even the corporate media will be forced to cover it as all the lies are presented together in all their ugly truth.

The wealthy NeoCons (who use our middleclass troops as Cannon Fodder while their kids are safely in private college) just love to talk about "supporting the troops", "Don't undermine the troops", "Don't take money away from the troops", etc etc. These are Orwellian mind-games to fake Americans into equating "troops" with "Bush's War".

Of course the troops aren't going to be left in Iraq without ammo or a place ticket home (DUH!!) The anti war movvement is about this disgusting WAR, and supporting our troops by getting them OUT of this disaster.

Support the Troops
OR
Support this needless War
You can't do both!

In 2005 and 2006 funding is reported to have taken 89 and 109 days to reach his desk - with Republican Congresses without complaints or counting from the administration. If the situation is as dire as the President indicates this appears to be a collossal case of mis-management on the part of the administration not to request the funds with reasonable lead time (which one would consider at as slow and possibly a littie slower with the other party in charge).

Or has the White House has adopted another Iraqi idea along with the bloggers. -- Are they using a Baghdad Bob (the worst is comming) approach to smear the Democrats? Other reliable sources place the required funding date between May 15 thru July (CRS). Will we get an updated count and renewed venom from DC Dana or the President tomorrow?
