BIGDADPATRIO - I won't argue with you on that. According to Bill Clinton, he became wealthy after becoming president. I'm sure he wasn't the first. Whatever the motivations - wealth, power, ego, greed - the fact remains that it takes a lot of money to become elected.

The reality is that it takes a lot of money to get elected president. When one considers what advertising must cost, hiring public relations people and political advisers, travelling, etc., it becomes obvious that candidates must have large amounts of money available for their campaigns. How many of us are willing to do what it takes to get elected?
