Comments on: Pelosi Tours Jerusalem's Holy Sites
Amidst Criticism House Speaker Leads Delegation To Middle East
- Nikkimoron,
Pelosi is a hypocrite. Worse - she is a traitor.
I guess you don't mind spending your tax dollars NOT for the defense of our country but for her botox treatments, her ILLEGAL hirees, and her (and KKK Byrd and Murtha's) Pork projects.
I DO. My dollars go to the defense of America, not for a shrilly little girl who's got too much power and doesn't know what to do with her except betray this country.
Too bad Hamas doesn't kidnap her and Ellison. But they'd be doing America a favor - and of course they love her.
As for some of the other creatures crawling here this morning, Bluestarbigot has already demonstrated he hates Jooz - he'll bring up AIPAC but nothing about CAIR and their endorsement of Islamofascist terror. His equally undistinguished colleague, Ex, says he's an Atheist. Figures. He probably never served because God - whether you believe or not is always found in a foxhole. Ask a real vet.
Rick has the right to express his Christian views, perhaps even more so than bluebigot, Ex, Iceberg, Billydoofus, and Nikkigurl have the right to express their FASCIST ones. Notobigots, thank you - you'll probably think I'm on the extreme but you hit it on the nail - the Israelis are tolerant; much more than you can say for the Islamonazi pigs. - Reply to this comment
- "Ellison said his presence %u2014 as a Muslim %u2014 on the trip sent a message to Israelis and Palestinians that "people can come together."
"Reconciliation is possible," he said.
OBVIOUSLY, IT IS THE IRSRAELIS WHO ALLOW ALL PEOPLE TO VISIT THEIR OWN APPLICABLE HOLY SITES; AND ONLY THE ISRAELIS. - Reply to this comment
- The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is one of the most complicated issues today, polls conducted by the Harry S Truman Institute and Near East Consulting show that a majority of both Israelis and Palestinians want the Camp David Peace Accords to become a reality.Beyond that is the economic of the Palestinians which is not a conducive enviroment to promote peace.50% unemployment, 60% living below poverty. 80% requiring economic assistance, a education system that is producing a high number of drop outs with the average Palestinians have a education of 8.9 years.Israeli and the US are the primary catalyst of economic growth in the Palestinian territories. If peace is to occur it will require a larger infux of economic assistance and investment in the territories.

One of the recommmedations fromthe Iraq Study group was to engage prinicipals in this region, not limited to those GW Bush approves of. You might not that in December of last year Senators Arlen Specter, Bill Nelson, Christopher Dodd and John Kerry visited Syria, as well. To hide your head in your sand or hold your breath until you're blue in the face, like our current administration, does nothing to further dialogue. - Reply to this comment
- singinrick,
I for one don't mind you talking about your faith because my Christian faith also guides my beliefs, although in a different direction. You have every right to express your faith and how it guides your political conclusions.
What makes paople feel like you're pushing it down their throats is the intolerence toward other faiths. Who are you to judge Islam to be a false religion? You have every right to believe that but bear in mind there's a reason why it's called faith...it's not science, it's not indisputable fact.
Jesus didn't teach intolence of anyone but taught us to love one another. He told us there's 1 way to heaven through acceptance of him but he never preached to not love those who didn't accept the Gospel. Love your neighbor was his central teaching. - Reply to this comment
- Interesting. It was the Democrats and the U.N. that created this problem.....just like Clinton and the U.N. created today's problem, with the Republican stooges helping. Polititians sure love power to screw things up.
"Partition - The United Nations Special Commission on Palestine (UNSCOP) recommended that Palestine be divided into an Arab state and a Jewish state. The commission called for Jerusalem to be put under international administration The UN General Assembly adopted this plan on Nov. 29, 1947 as UN Resolution (GA 181), owing to support of both the US and the Soviet Union, and in particular, the personal support of US President Harry S. Truman." - Reply to this comment
- I truly hope Nancy Pelosi is trying to be an honest broker in the Middle East and not just taking Israeli views on everything. No doubt the Israelis are trying to ensure her views are in line with theirs in every respect. I hope she resists this temptation and puts Americas interest first. Then honestly represents the views of the other millions of good people in the Middle East also.
If you follow the money trail you will find that most of those elected officials who support the war in Iraq are under the influence of AIPAC.

50 years of American involvement in the Middle East is enough. If these animals do not want to play in the sand box together it is not in Americas interest to make them. We Should get out of the entire Middle East! They have nothing worth one more American Life anywhere in the Middle East!
If you think Americas sacrifice is worth it contact your ELECTED OFFICIAL and tell them http://www.visi.com/juan/congress/

- Israel has about as much of a chance making peace with the Palestinians as we have taking the socialism out of Pelosi. It%u2019s just not possible.

- This woman has no business undermining the credibility of the USA with a "talk" with a known exporter of terror (to Israel and Iraq. It is a seditious act and needs to be censured by the House and the Senate.

- Superpat885,
I hope all your name calling makes you feel good because your insults don't phase me in the slightest. I consider the source, an *** who knows nothing. I can't "answer" your comments because they aren't comments at all, just insults.
Actually I was a Republican until 1977, I was even a member of my Ward Committee. But of course, I'm not bragging.
Just a clarification, I'm an UNPAID stooge of the Democratic party.
You know, great strides have been made in therapy for anger management-you should check it out. - Reply to this comment
- ANOTHER PRIME EXAMPLE of the typical cunning DEMONcrats at "work". This conniving -itch pelosi now takes her second trip to Israel with her thieving little entourage at taxpayers expense AGAIN! Not so she could do anything beneficial for the country, but because she simply wanted another trip before Easter to the Holy Land. I hope this instigating traitor -itch melts on the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem!

Pardon but your ignorance is showing in regards to Syria and Iran. Please, do educate yourself a little by looking up Alawite. - Reply to this comment
- KCstan,
I am a Christian but not like the idiots on here who slur the Islamic religion. I believe first anf foremost in respecting all faiths. I was reacting to the "stinking Jews" comment, not the politics of Palestine.
Regarding Palestine,I believe that land was stolen from the Palestinians and I agree with most of what former President Carter has to say in his book, "Peace Not Apartheid."
I understand Islamic anger but I also believe that name calling and violence will never resolve the conflicts of the middle east. People on all sides who love peace and justice have to negotiate a just coexistence.
That will require better from all sides then what the politicans have delivered. Violence and hatred only justifies and maintains the status quo and that doesn't benefit the Palestinian cause. - Reply to this comment
- When Israel became a "state"---or nation---they tried hard to become friends with their Arab neighbors, especially through David ben Gurion. They even tried to share their knowledge of agriculture (and irrigation) with their Arab neighbors---but their Arab neighbors wanted no part of it. They were mostly bedouins, living in tents, when Israel became a nation. And instead of cooperating with Israel, they would wait til nightfall and go into the fields of Israel and STEAL the crops for themselves---rather than learning how to grow crops themselves. Basically, the Arabs "war" with Israel, in 1948, was a "pride thing". So, Israel shared their irrigation knowledge with the U.S.---which we still use today.

Not much chance of that if you think pushing religion in a news message board is reasonable or appropriate.
There are venues for such activity, like church. I am not in church, thank you. - Reply to this comment

If you are a believer who respects other's rights to not want anything to do with your kool-aid, good for you.
I have idiots knocking on my door every week trying to sell me one kool-aid or another.
Singingrick is the worst offender of all here in that regard. Whatever the topic, he brings religion into it. - Reply to this comment

- I have been visiting the cbs post for about 2 weeks now and I have seen Christians blamed for just about all the ills in the world.
Posted by rohink at 06:24 PM : Mar 31, 2007
Gee, I wonder why that might be, eh? Maybe because Christians feel their kool-aid is better than anyone else's and try to pour it down everyone else's throats? - Reply to this comment
- So, I can't say I agree with you.

Whether you agree with me or not does not change the fact that this is a secular site, not a platform for proselytizing.
Frankly, I couldn't care less whether you agree with me or not. Save the preaching for church where it's welcome and others wish to hear such drivel. - Reply to this comment
