- Congress should refuse to confirm ANY new members of this Administration UNTIL Gonzales is gone, their investigation is complete which means that Rove and Miers must testify under oath in public. Such extreme action is justified as Bush's willingness to shield these fools despite their reckless and criminal actions vividly demonstrates that no intelligent person can have the least bit of faith in the integrity of the croonies that the Shrub chooses to surround himself with at the public's expense.

Another rabid dog barking?
This "investigation" is nothing more than a publicity stunt. "ABSOLUTELY" nothing has been uncovered that could or would carry "ANY" criminal charges.
This is a publicity stunt and it has one purpose, to divide the American people and thier government. It doesnt matter what party the idiots belong to that are running this circus, its wrong, and allowing it to continue only confirms the most negative relfections of America to the rest of the world. - Reply to this comment

- neoconRcrazy; great post, on Israel and Palestinians. Hope someone starts listening. I am tired of marginalizing all the other millions of good honorable people in the Middle East because Israel had it rough in Europe before I was born! So why must America support Israel blindly above all the rest of the people in the middle east, just because they do not play well in the sand box together? 50 years of American sacrifice is enough! America must become an honest broker in the Middle East or pull out all together! America can honor its commitments with our Allies but there must be a true unbiased commitment on America%u2019s part in the Region.

- Confusion? There is no confusion regarding Mr. Gonzales, the fact that he is lying is quite clear. I am beginning to think that being deceitful is an organizational policy of the Bush administration.
Based on past observations, I don't think they are allowed to tell the whole truth, it seems they can only use it as a seasoning for the really big lies.
This then results in the apparent affliction of confusion to be used as a defense for the facts getting in the way of the story. I think this technique can be found in the Jailhouse Lawyer Course 101; under Quick Defense for Hand Caught in Cookie Jar type Legal Problem.
It is amazing that this administration has gotten away with lying for so long, as they are really not very good at it. - Reply to this comment
- " President Bush "believes the attorney general can overcome the challenges that are before him,"
Just like he "believes" he can overcome his.
Bush and the rest of them have already left their rotton signatures on our country - nothing will remove this stain of deceit, arrogance, and blunder.
Now I know how German citizens feel when asked about their country's nazi past. Sick and speechless........ - Reply to this comment
- confusion?
looks like the only confusion is that they all forget to get their 'story' straight about what happened ... you know ... that nothing really happened ... and that it was all above board ... and of course ... not illegal - Reply to this comment
- The anchor baby says he is not quitting - ok fine - but when is this poor excuse for an American going to enforce current laws regarding millions of Illegal Aliens who have already invaded our country and the thousands more that are using tunnels, bribes, and terror to gain penetration of the motherland USA?

didn't you know? both Gonzales and Bush agree: Bush first, "la raza" second, GOP third, Wars -n-profit 4th and somewhere around #26--the American people and their GodD*mned piece of paper. - Reply to this comment
- If we didn't care for this stuff under the King, what makes this George think so far differently?

...maybe the fact Bush lied and s.h.a.t. on the American public and Constitution for 4 years and Congress and America not only accepted it, but came back in 2004 for more of the same. After the rubber stamping and lie after lie being swallowed, If America was/is not for it--then they have a funny way of protesting it.
Even illegal aliens get off their butts and marched to show their ire. While most Americans blog or get bumper stickers. when 200+ million Americans (the 75% who claim not to support him)collectively march in the street or withdraw their monies from the market or boycott spending to protest--maybe Bush and co will get the message--until then our words will continually roll off his and Republicans' backs like water on an oily duck. - Reply to this comment
- Gonzo has gotten himself between a rock and a hard place. Either he's a crook or an idiot. Either way he's not the right person to be the AG. Though it does sort of explain why Bush hired him as his personal attorney since Bush is always in the same sort of place, either a crook or an idiot. Maybe Bush with build him a little guest house on his phony Texas ranch? then they can both go fishing on Bush overstocked pond and lie about harmless things, instead of things that kill people like they're doing now.

- This administration is acting just like Mafioso when under investigation/trial: Nobody seems to be able to remember anything.....
And then there are those invoking the fifth.
"trying to find the truth too"?

- Obviously, Gonzales has mental problems...he doesn't remember, is confused, doesn't know what his Justice Department is doing...in short, he's just not up to the job even if he weren't an outright liar.
I suppose Bush is backing him because he is afraid of him...all that dirty linen in the White House hampers plus years of service cleaning up Bush's messes! - Reply to this comment
- Defintion of politician. Any person manipulating group opinions in his or her favor can be termed a politician. This should also be added to the defintion of a politician... 1)Lies to cover ones own actions, finds individuals to further aid in covering their actions or creating more lies to divert attention from the original lie. 2) ANY AND ALL elected officals if serving more than one term.
Why do I say this because no matter what their intentions most politicians do what they want to do no matter what their constiuents want.... why... simple because they know they can... that's why! Your never going to see a common citizen elected to a high office because of the money it takes and only a two party system that seems to be easily corrupted at every turn! - Reply to this comment
- The poor, misunderstood attorney general is confused. Isn't that just too bad; he is so confused he doesn't remember anything, not even his own name! Will some good Republican neo-con, like maybe Rush Limbaugh or Bill O'Reilly, give Gonzo a lollipop, pat him on the head and tuck him into bed so he can have pleasant dreams of George Bush ruling the world and he, Gonzo, sitting in his own private palace with Ann Coulter by his side, thinking of what lie he can come up with next!

- And to think this country elected George W. Bush not once but twice with Evangelical Christians leading the charge. We must be living in Stupidistan! And whatever happened to Tom Delay? Shouldn't he be in jail by now? I long for the days of Richard Nixon. Now there was pure dark, unadulterated evil the kind that even the mask of religiosity could not hide.
