President Demands That Congress Replenish War Funds With No Strings; Pelosi Tells Him To "Calm Down"
- But here at leftwing central it's all about politics and hatredfor Bush which does not provide a solution for this war.

I believe it's more disgust for Bush's policies rather than hatred for Bush personally, notblue.
In regards to your "solution" for the war, Petraeus himself states that there is no military solution. What else needs to be said when the hand-picked man in charge himself states as much? - Reply to this comment
- pwrslm - problem is AQ got into that part of Iraq AFTER Bush invaded - in other words Bush's invasion finally facilitated AQ's entry in Saddam-controlled Iraq.
Imagine that - Saddam kept him out and Bush couldn't.
And yet another in long long line of Bush failures. - Reply to this comment
- They flew aircrafts in 2 of the 3 wtc towers, somebody else had to bring the tower down (or should
I say "pull them" ?)

Actually, the structural failure of the towers was caused by the heat from the fires taking the reinforcing steel beyond it's tempered limits. The unsupported weight of the structures above the impact points caused the towers to fail as the reinforcing steel at the affected floors bent and gave way. - Reply to this comment
- I'm not republican or democrat i don't let my political affilliation or my hatred for the president blind me from basic facts. I don't need to name call, condescend, carp and blame America in order to justify an ideology. Yes there are other peoples and ideals fighting in Iraq but there is also Al Queda, the percentage doesn't matter if the fact is they are there. Nothing would please the radical militants more than leaving Iraq in chaos. That is there goel and to deny that fact by leaving will cost MORE American lives in the longterm not considering the genocide that would folloow our retreat. But here at leftwing central it's all about politics and hatredfor Bush which does not provide a solution for this war.

- YOU KNOW I LISTEN TO A SENATOR YESTERDAY SAYING LOOK SENCE WE WENT TO IRAC NO ONE HAS COME OVER HERE TO ATTACK US..I ALMOST SHOT MY TV SET!!! DOESN'T EVERYONE KNOW WHY THEY HAVEN'T COME HERE TO TRY TO ATTACK US.. BECAUSE THIS PRESIDENT AND HE CRIME FAMILY BROUGHT US TO THEM!!!!!! THEY HAVE BEEN KILLING US FOR 5 YEARS NOW...
HOW CAN ANY SENATOR SAY SOMETHING AS STUPID AS WHAT HE SAID... AND HOW COULD HE GET ELECTED AGAIN.. - Reply to this comment
- George Bush is defying the American people.
The headline is misleading. The "showdown" is between a man who wants to be dictator and the people who pay his salary and extravagant benefits. Which include retirement benefits most people would consider lavish as employment salary & benefits.
According to most polls, about 70% of the American people want US forces withdrawn from Iraq. Approximately 90% of the "international community" opposes the Bush administration.
The only people George Bush represents are himself and his warmongering and/or war profiteering cronies. A distinct minority.
He is defying the American people and the "international community." He should be impeached and prosecuted. - Reply to this comment
- notblue - how can you people STILL be this dumb?? AQ got into former saddam-controlled Iraq AFTER Bush invaded. Sheesh --you lot really give new meaning to 'dumb & dumber'.

Bush gave al Qaeda entry into Iraq as he did the Iranians by removing Saddam The Gate-Keeper who kept both groups out of Iraq.
And now, as a result of his own stupidity, tries to use those repurcussions from his own actions as justification for a continuance of his misguided policies. - Reply to this comment
- Notblue breaking a record of the number of falsehoods in a single sentences.
"It only took a couple of doxen Al Queda operatives to bring down the twin towers and kill 3,000 innocent Americans BEFORE we went into Iraq"
- Your Al Qaeda operatives had no link with Iraq
- They flew aircrafts in 2 of the 3 wtc towers, somebody else had to bring the tower down (or should
I say "pull them" ?)
- Not all the 3000 innocent victims were Americans - Reply to this comment

- If the true facts were seriously looked at NOW it would be obvious to everyone that that's were the fight is NOW.
Posted by notblue at 10:31 AM : Mar 29, 2007
And it's al Qaeda's doing that the fight is there now, notblue? Of course it isn't. It is, however, what al Qaeda wants as it keeps us hand-cuffed, wasting resources, and fomenting terrorism which makes their goals more attainable. - Reply to this comment
