GOP Senator Says Impeachment Possible If President Pushes Ahead With Iraq Strategy
- Sounds like even the republicans are starting to figure this administration out. Unfortunately, they are the ones who gave Bush to us in the first place and is something no one will forget.

- George Bush claims he is fighting an "international war on terror." Due to his efforts, international terrorism has sharply increased.
George Bush should be removed from office, not only for the good of the American people, but for the good of the entire world.
He is a far greater menace and instigator of terrorism than OBL, al qaida or anyone else. Al qaida doesn't need to attack the US, they have George Bush and his supporters destroying the US for them.
Bush is the worst president in US history.
And, should be impeached as soon as possible. - Reply to this comment
- Only double impeachment makes sense, to impeach President Bush and end up with *** Cheney doesn't make sense, some think the V.P. is worst! Double or nothing! Then who is the President?, Pelosi? LOL

- The argument that the administration keeps raising that "We need to put that kind of decision in the hands of our commanders who are there on the ground with the men and women%u201D is wrong. The military%u2019s responsibility is limited to how the war it fought in order to meet the objectives set by our elected government that we entrust with authority to send and fund wars.

- Authorizing torture in violation of binding international law (the Geneva Conventions) and domestic law, authorizing warrantless spying in violation of laws passed by Congress during his first term, appending unconstitutional provisions to Congressional acts at signing, initiating aggressive war in defiance of the U.N. Charter and agreements we made over UN monitoring of Iraq, these are all profound justification for impeachment. This president is an authoritarian, a chronic abuser of power, who poses an extreme danger to the rights and safety of the public. He should be impeached immediately for all that he has already done. We should pray that this Congress has the courage to do what must be done to protect the country from dictatorship and world war, all of which this president and his administration are capable of bringing about...

- INPEACHMENT HAS BUSH LOOKING AROUND!
Yea now Bush is looking in the back rooms like after his friends the Saudi Government let 15 hijackers and Bin Laden hit us on 911! Bush is wondering which of his JOCKSTRAP Republican supporters are going to stab him in the back next!
The War in Iraq is still not the war on Terror and Iraq still did not attack America on 911! President Bush and the Republicans have failed on their Support for the Troops on all Counts!
If you follow the money trail you will find that most of those elected officials who support the war in Iraq are under the influence of AIPAC.

Now here is the real kicker! President Bush is funding Al Qaeda in Lebanon with funds from Iraq! This is Impeachment and Treason! Here is the proof Read it!

- Bush counts on Republicans blindly supporting him no matter what--and that is why he is so belligerent and arrogant and blatant. Still, he must pause now and wonder who among his own flock secretly resent him and his cabal and might decide to overthrow him? And Republican senators who continue to support him no matter what (many have constituents who would kill them if they did not) are in a pickle--they know Bush is going to far, but to defy him is also to alienate their base--so they will go down in history as sycophants, apologists and party before country loyalists to the end--if but 11 republicsans join the call for impeachment, bush is out and Chency will soon follow. I don't mention the house here, because if they choose to impeach, there are more than enough votes to do so.

- Ten Reasons to Impeach George Bush and *** Cheney
Posted by forthepeaple at 10:13 AM : Mar 26, 2007
******************************************
Violation of the Constitution in 2005 when Bush threatened the Netherlands by stating that if any Americans were held in the Hague on war crimes, the US military would use any means necessary to retrieve them, including fighter jets.
This is in violation of the 11 Amendment (ratified in 1797) which states that America is bound by all international resolutions, treaties, conventions and promises she makes, that neither the Executive, Legislative or US Supreme Court will have jurisdiction in such matters and that the US must submit herself to the will of international law in matters involving international breaches.
Bush swore to uphold the Constitution. By stating that, and by having Congress grant immunity from prosecution for war crimes (which is only good domestically) and by removing our name from the Geneva Conventions--5/2005, bush still is culpable for the start of the war, torture, rendition, his threats to the Netherlands and violation of the 11th Amendment. - Reply to this comment
- maybe Hagel is the man to do something. His AIPAC check must have bounced or Israel has no use for the people in his state what ever?

Probably CBS with CNN's help.......... - Reply to this comment
- Who will declare martial law? While under impeachment, the Pres and Vice Pres will NOT have the authority and after they are impeached, they would be stripped of power and could be tried for war crimes. So who? Condi? Pelosi? The Scotus (they can be impeached too)
Wonder if Bush is a trifle worried that when Hagel pointed out his nakedness, the rest might finally agree that Bush's a.z.z is hanging in the wind by a thread - Reply to this comment
- Hagel says what no Democrat or Republican has the ballz to say--IMPEACH. If the Republicans were smart, they'd put it on the table first and give themselves a leg up by pointing out what they were willing to do to put America above party and politics. They'd also use it as a stick to bring Bush in line instead of continually kowtowing to him.
I love the part, where the White House has no comment on that remark. Must be a first. Let the backroom grumblings continue and now that someone dare speak it--let true debates on impeachment begin!!!!! - Reply to this comment

5. Violating U.S. law and the Constitution through widespread wiretapping of the phone calls and emails of Americans without a warrant.
6. Violating the Constitution by using "signing statements" to defy hundreds of laws passed by Congress.
7. Violating U.S. and state law by obstructing honest elections in 2000, 2002, 2004, and 2006.
8. Violating U.S. law by using paid propaganda and disinformation, selectively and misleadingly leaking classified information, and exposing the identity of a covert CIA operative working on sensitive WMD proliferation for political retribution.
9. Subverting the Constitution and abusing Presidential power by asserting a "Unitary Executive Theory" giving unlimited powers to the President, by obstructing efforts by Congress and the Courts to review and restrict Presidential actions, and by promoting and signing legislation negating the Bill of Rights and the Writ of Habeas Corpus.
10. Gross negligence in failing to assist New Orleans residents after Hurricane Katrina, in ignoring urgent warnings of an Al Qaeda attack prior to Sept. 11, 2001, and in increasing air pollution causing global warming. - Reply to this comment
- "We need to put that kind of decision in the hands of our commanders who are there on the ground with the men and women," Lott said. "For Congress to impose an artificial date of any kind is totally irresponsible."
After almost 4 years of rubberstamping Bush lies and policy for this war, after thoudands of ded Americans and perhaps hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis....Republicans should NEVER, EVER utter the words "irresponsible" "dishonest" or "support the troops".
Bush used the war and our troops for his own ends and the republicans gave him a blank check and were derilect in their duty as a Congress to perform Checks and balances. Take note, America--obviously, we did NOT clean house well enough in November, there are still those who think they should serve the President or their party and fail to serve WE THE PEOPLE. - Reply to this comment

I ask Congress to impeach President Bush and Vice President Cheney for the following reasons:
1. Violating the United Nations Charter by launching an illegal "War of Aggression" against Iraq without cause, using fraud to sell the war to Congress and the public, misusing government funds to begin bombing without Congressional authorization, and subjecting our military personnel to unnecessary harm, debilitating injuries, and deaths.
2. Violating U.S. and international law by authorizing the torture of thousands of captives, resulting in dozens of deaths, and keeping prisoners hidden from the International Committee of the Red Cross.
3. Violating the Constitution by arbitrarily detaining Americans, legal residents, and non-Americans, without due process, without charge, and without access to counsel.
4. Violating the Geneva Conventions by targeting civilians, journalists, hospitals, and ambulances, and using illegal weapons, including white phosphorous, depleted uranium, and a new type of napalm.
MORE TO COME.. - Reply to this comment
- Later next year after the Senate convicts Bush / Cheney on their dual impeachment for high crimes marshal law will be declared.
Civil war will break out as a deep recession sweeps the nation when the US military is asked to arrest speaker Peolsi for treason as she tries to assume office of president. - Reply to this comment
