- All politicians,,, even the President,, should have on dog collars with elicetrodes,, like the one your dog has to for obedience traing --
- When they lie, the get zapped, put each zap on You Tube & the internet -- It would help make government smaller & make both republicans & democrats happy.

Big deal. Gonzales needs to get rid of the rest of the Clinton holdovers. What took so long. Tell Congress to stick it. Show me the crime.

Greco99: You are the bomb.
What a beautiful, logical, succinct article. Anyone with any background in rhetoric would be impressed.

Gonzales should never have been approved for appointment to Attorney General by the GOP Senate in the first place.
He is a major proponent for the advancement of torture on prisoners of all type.
He is not a defender of the US Constitution & he seeks to undermine the US Bill of Rights at every possible opportunity.
Of course it is the utterly corrupt Bush Administration that is ultimately to blame for the Gonzo fiasco. Because of his radical positions on issues, they wanted him in that powerful position & they will fight to allow him to remain there.
Gonzo's departure is long overdue but indeed, he should never have been allowed in such a position to begin with.

Even George Will has lost confidence in Gonzo.

Gonzo is losing the base. He is gone.

The appointment of prosecutors has always involved a level of patronage, for sure. In the past there has been a check against abuse since Congressional approval was required for these appointments. What's different here is that Bush was able to appoint replacements without any check on abuse. We have "moderate" Sen. Specter to thank for sneaking in this slap at the Constitutional process.

Seven Pesos, if we were to use your limited intellectual ability to make pre-judgements we would conclude that nothing good comes from Califonia, just Gang Wars, mudslides, wildfires, earthquakes, Charles Manson,*** Nixon, Ronald Reagan, urban riots,OJ Simpson, Herbert Hoover, Heavan's Gate, etc. That would be as ignorant as your mindless repetitive and devoid of thought drones. You should love Bush, you think just like him.

Show me the crime...

That will come fairly soon. It's called perjury, as Gonzo did in his testimony to congress.
